What is Olivetta Hair Treatment ?
Whew! I was surprised when I flipped my planner as it’s already at the last few pages, but still there seems to be so much left to do for the remainder of the year. I was supposed to talk about these goodies from Silverworks as Christmas gifts, but due to my iMac having long standing issues which necessitated it to be checked in for repairs, I was MIA digitally for quite some time. I’m still talking about these items, but this time in perspective for a bright and sparkling 2023.
People have differing feng shui birth charts, but the TLDR of mine is that I need to wear more metals on my body, which is why I always make sure I have an endless assortment of rings and earrings on all the time. This is regardless of what zodiac it will be for the year, so it’s not some remedy for a zodiac clash whatsoever. But let’s be honest, I really just like accessories and just used the findings of my own birth chart to lessen the guilt in my accessory hoarding hahaha.
As for Silverworks, the ‘hacks’ that a lot of people might not know are that they offer jewelry repair, jewelry cleaning, and customized jewelry. Their customized items will of course take time, but as far as gift-giving is concerned, a personalized gift or a gift certificate for a custom item is very unlikely to be thrown out or re-gifted. I personally gave out a lot of personalized gifts this year and I was so delighted to see the recipients happy that their names were on the items. And also, there’s the added assurance that whatever I gave them won’t be their next year’s contributions for exchange gifts and Christmas gift pools hahaha.
This time I got a gangsta Marilene necklace made. It’s on their site under ‘Old English Name Necklace.’ My spelling is rare in the Philippines, so I have never seen my name in a personalized item rack. I always see names like Karen, Christine, and Anne, but Marilyn is rare. And even then, it’s not my spelling. I really recommend this for people whose names are unique spellings.
I also had a personalized ring done! It’s on their site under ‘Personalized Name Ring with Heart.’ It’s adjustable, so at least I can stack it onto my other rings without much fuss. I actually don’t have plans to wear this permanently right now, but when I do, I can do so with peace of mind as Silverworks really means silver or stainless when they say so. There are no hidden heavy metals. I know there are tons of stores online that can do these kinds of personalized jewelry for much cheaper, but a lot of them are highly likely to be using impure metals or heavy metals, so it’s still safer to go with a company with a reputation to keep as far as metal purity is concerned. 
Perhaps the most exciting item in this haul is this pair of earrings that looks like baby engagement rings! I don’t know if that’s what the jewelry designer had in mind while developing these Mazi Silver Hoop Earrings (Php749) but to me, they really look like baby engagement rings for the ears! This is among Silverworks’ new launches at the latter part of this year, so I’m sure it will be beloved by a lot of people in the coming year. It’s also great as a birthday or V-day gift as it’s very wearable but at the same time very chic and with a very classy looking build. 
And I am telling you! As you can see here when the two earrings are laid out you can visualize these as earrings…
But when only one is in the picture and it’s zoomed in quite heavily (these earrings are about 1cm in diameter IRL and the stone is probably 4-5mm in diameter so this is a super zoomed-in shot), it really looks like an engagement ring!! These earrings are made with AAA Cubic Zirconia, which probably adds more to the reasons why these come off like baby rings as the stones sparkle beautifully, reflecting a wide spectrum of colors in the stone’s facets. 
I also wanted to get something unique, so I got one of their Stud Earrings with Clip Earring sets. So it has a tiny simulated diamond stud with a second simulated diamond stud, but the second stud has a connected clip-on earring to be attached to the ear cartilage. 
Mio Mio is Silverworks’ online exclusive brand and they have quite a lot of stainless steel jewelry sets that are perfect for last-minute Christmas gifts as well as V-day and birthday gifts in 2023. Their jewelry sets range from Php200-500 and are already packaged very presentably, so I think these will be perfect for situations wherein you weren’t able to prepare a gift for someone, and then they turned out to have a gift for you this year, and now you are conflicted in how to reciprocate the gift after Christmas. Yes, very specific, but I’m sure that this scenario happens to everyone.
These Layered Chains with Pearl Earrings and Necklace sets are sure to please most recipients as the design is very wearable and will work with most outfits. These also come in gold and rose gold shades, so there are other color options depending on the tastes and skin tones of the recipient. In my own case, I have very cool skin with pinkish undertones, so I find that silver-colored jewelry works on me best. But for those with warmer skin tones, or for those who simply prefer yellow gold, the options exist.
For those who want a little more sparkle, maybe try these Open Heart Linked in Zirconia Earrings and Necklaceset everyone whom Php199 tho Sets? This set comes with small AAA zirconia studs which can also be used on second/third ear piercings or cartilage piercings due to the dainty size. The necklace screams ‘rich general’s daughter in a soap opera’, so I think this set will also delight most gift recipients.
If you really zoom into the stud, this is what it looks like. Indeed there are inclusions up close but this is a super close zoom-in of a stud that is only 4-6mm in real life, so the inclusions don’t look obvious to the naked eye in real life. They’re sparkly anyways so most people are bound to be enthralled by the sparkle rather than criticizing the minutiae of the inclusions. 
For those who are into hearts in general, this might also be another great set to check out. This Heart Earrings and Necklace Set is yet another perfect item for the “what do I do with this person whom I didn’t give a Christmas gift to but they had a gift for me” people in our lives as it’s only Php199 and therefore really affordable that you can still catch up reciprocating everyone whom you missed out on your original Christmas gifts list. 
For this set and for a lot of other sets by Mio Mio, the earrings are stud earrings, thereby making them appropriate for students. I still have a lot of beef with why my alma mater forbid dangling earrings as I still have no idea how in the world can a student’s earrings affect their educational aptitude. But well, we can’t do much about the rules of most schools, so at least as far students are concerned, these types of earrings will work well for them and they will be able to wear these without getting scolded by the school. 
Lastly, for those who have a penchant for butterfly-themed jewelry like me, Silverworks also has these Butterfly Design Earrings and Necklace Sets (Php249). I personally like to incorporate a lot of butterfly charms in the accessories I make, so it makes sense to get something butterfly themed as well. And realistically, too, while cats are my favorite animals in the world, not a lot of mainstream accessory brands incorporate cute cat heads into their designs, so I’m waiting for the market to adapt to it as I do feel that there are more and more catparents these days due to the stay-at-home setup brought about by the pandemic. 
What makes this set cute is that this is a set of encapsulated stones in a butterfly outline casing. I really like these kinds of designs despite being nervous that the stone might fall out at any time. But I sincerely wish the stones stay put on this set though!

My team and I took a memorable trip to Goa a few months ago; it was an ambitious project for us, self-funded (no sponsors), with a photographer, planning to shoot lots of outfit posts and swimwear, a first for me! One of my favourite looks from this trip turned out to be this breezy yellow dress which I picked up from a local boutique @theflamestore. I usually shy away from a dress that is unstructured or ‘breezy’ but this was actually super flattering and incredibly comfortable!
It was such a warm day, the view from @titliegoa was stunning and the food was mouthwateringly good! Its winter time now, but I can’t wait for the summer when I’ll get to wear this beautiful dress again!

With Olive Young being the mega mall housing the most Korean cosmetic brands in one store, I’m not sure why I never knew they had their awards that happen yearly. They’ve had their award system since 2015 and their awards are pulled from data on which products sold the most in each category. Compared to Glowpick’s awards, I find Olive Young’s awards to be more generalized and less specific. Maybe it would be fun to cross reference Olive Young’s to Glowpicks, so let me know if you guys want me to do a recap for Glowpick’s awards as well. I recognized some products in the title picture already, so let’s discover what was the hot Korean cosmetic trend that was popular in Korea.

Out of the four cleansing products in this picture, I’ve oddly only tried two out of the four. I have tried Manyo Factory pure cleansing oil, but I don’t feel like it was anything revolutionary or different. I’m not sure what all the hype is about. Bioderma is a solid product, which can be found at Shoppers drug mart for those of you who live in Canada. It removes makeup decently, however, you will need to use oil-based make up remover for eyeliner and mascara if you want to get every inch off of your face. Oddly, I still haven’t tried the Banila Co cleansing balm, and that one is an absolute classic!

Korean toners have become a huge trend, but which one is the best Korean toner you ask? Round lab being number one doesn’t surprise me. I have tried it, love it and it is still worth the hype. It is lightweight, hydrating yet softening and somewhat plumping. Although it isn’t hydrating enough for me living in Vancouver, it is still a product I occasionally grab to prep my skin.
Anua Heartleaf soothing toner is another Korean toner I’ve tried in the past. I know it has been super hyped the last year. I have tried it many times, however, I thought it was just okay and passed it on to a friend. It is a very calming, soothing, lightweight, watery toner that does the job well. I just don’t find it to live up to the crazy hype it has at the moment.
I have never tried to Bring green tea tree cica soothing toner. From the sound of it, it would benefit those with oily to acne-prone skin that needs the tea tree to control sebum and breakouts, while the cica would calm and soothe the skin.
Lastly Abib Heartleaf calming toner I feel like should be in second place and not runner-up. It was much more memorable than the Anua toner. I feel like it was much more soothing and hydrating!!

Runner up: Numbuzin no. 5 vitamin niacinamide concentrated pads
No surprise, the Skinfood carrot carotene calming water pad is number one!! I recently got the chance to try it and I TOTALLY GET THE HYPE. Read my review here. The pad itself has the softness cotton, while the essence was skin penetratingly soothing. You can also peel the cotton pads into two, making them great for spot masks. it also works for all skin types too!
Abib Heartleaf Spot Pad Calm Touch was also another product I thoroughly enjoyed. I sadly didn’t get the chance to write the review here, however, you have to take my word for it. The pad was super thin, soaked up all the essence well, and just like the Heartleaf toner, it was super calming, soothing, and hydrating.
Mediheal madecassoside blemish pad is currently trending on Tiktok. I’ve been testing it out for the past month, but I don’t think this version was built for my skin type. I have dry skin, not prone to acne, so this doesn’t give much results for my skin type. I saw another girl on TikTok trying out the same version but she has very acne-prone skin. Within just three days of using it, a lot of her pimples calmed down and were in the process of fading away. For me, it is just a mildly hydrating pad that somewhat soothes my skin.
I’ve heard lots of great things from the brand Numbuzin, but I still haven’t gotten around to trying the brand. They are definitely on my radar!!

I really wish I wasn’t deathly allergic to rose ingredient in skincare. I’ve heard so much of the Isoi blemish serum that it makes me tempted to try it. I just don’t want to end up with severely dry, red, and itchy skin for the next two weeks.
Goodal Green Tangerine Vita C blemish care serum is another product that is getting super hyped right now on Tiktok. I have tried a small deluxe sample of it and thought it was alright. I don’t believe the vitamin C content in this is strong enough to use during the day with my sunscreen to combat hyperpigmentation.
Torriden dive-in low molecular hyaluronic acid serum is also another super hyped product and I’m also not surprised it is on the list. Do I think it is all that? No, I don’t. If you are looking for a hyaluronic acid serum that hydrates and plumps your skin, I would suggest you check out Isntree hyaluronic acid water essence. It does the job amazingly and I loved every drop of it.

I’m kind of surprised to see some Western brands in the mix here. Out of everything on the list, I have only tried La Roche Posay cicaplast balm B5+, which is a solid and reliable product that helps with all sorts of things. It is also a product I got my goddaughter on for her enzyme, and so far it has been working splendidly.
I still want to get my hands on the Aestura atobarrier 365 cream. So many people have been hyping it up! I’m curious to see how well it will work on my dry skin type.

Runner up: D’alba waterful tone-up sun cream
To my surprise, I have tried every sunscreen here! Round lab birch moisture sun cream is no surprise. It is a gorgeously formulated, lightweight chemical sunscreen that leaves no white cast, hydrates the skin, and leaves your skin feeling plump and not dry even after reapplication.
Dr. G green mild up sun plus is more suited for those who have oily to combination skin types. It fairs more on the matte side and has a little bit of a white cast.
Cellfushion C laser sunscreen 100 is another solid sunscreen. Lightweight, absorbs into the skin well, and has no white cast. What more can you ask for?
Lastly, D’Alba waterful tone-up sun cream is similar to Round Lab Birch moisture sun cream with its lightweight and almost watery texture. There is a bit of a “brightening” effect from the tone though, so I don’t reach for this one much.

Out of all four products, I have only tried the Too Cool for school by Rodin shading powder. It is still a solid product that isn’t too warm or grey and can still compete in 2024. Heck, I tried this product back in 2017 and it does not feel dated at all. To my shock, they’ve expanded not only the contour shade range but the blush and highlighters too! There are 3-4 shades to choose from for each category, not just one shade!!

All of these cushions seem to cater to those who like matte finishes. I can’t speak on the Fwee cushion glass or Espoir pro tailor be velvet cover cushion though. I know for a fact Clio kill cover the new founwear cushion and Laneige Neo Cushion matte are both matte finishes.
I’ve tried the glowy version of the Clio cushion and wasn’t impressed. I didn’t feel like the formula adhered to my skin well and it clung to every dry patch I had. As for the Laneige neo cushion glow, I also had the same issue where it didn’t adhere to my skin well and it was kind of drying for me.

Dasique is a relatively new brand that has come into the scene with a splash. I had the opportunity to buy two of their matte palettes and love them both to pieces. I’m curious to try the rest of their palettes and products. I recently received their concealer palettes and the new hydrating primer, so I’ll report back on that in a separate review.

I’m shocked my holy grail Etude ginger sugar overnight lip mask is only a runner-up! The INSULT. I have been using that lip mask since 2016 every single day without fail and I truly can’t live without it. I find my lips get flakey and dry without it during the day. At night, I slather it on and wake up to it still on my lips. It is on the thicker side, so some people might find that a problem. For me, I love it because it protects my lips for so long.
I’m very curious to try the YNM rainbow honey lip balm. The packaging looks interesting and I’m curious to see what the public has to say about that product.

Here’s a funny story. Recently I was organizing my perfume sample collection and found a vial of Clean warm cotton. I was trying to open it gently to take a whiff of the scent, but I ended up spilling 2 mL of it all over my body and clothes. At first, I thought to myself “Oh, this smells nice and clean. Just like laundry!” After a while, it started to smell like washroom cleaner or hospital gown laundry detergent. With all that being said, make sure to smell fragrances and not blindly buy it because you think you’ll like the scent profile. I did that recently with a DKNY Be Delicious perfume and regretted it.

This review of the Jumiso Have a Good Cream Snail & Centella is long overdue, but I enjoyed this moisturizer so much, that I wanted to share my opinion with you nonetheless. It is a deeply hydrating moisturizer suited for all skin types and day and night use.
The Korean brand Jumiso is part of the brand Helloskin and is directed towards meeting all consumer needs. Their brand name is composed of “Ju” for ” to give”, and “miso” for “smile”. This is even visualized in their smiling brand logo. To me, the brand is probably best and widely known for the All Day Vitamin Brightening & Balancing Facial Serum, which has been loved by many within the skincare enthusiast community. But today, I will talk about this wonderful cream called Jumiso Have A Good Cream.
This hydrating and soothing cream is directed towards all skin types and for use during night and day. It is a very simple cream, but this makes it probably so much more worth a try. Noteworthy are the two focus ingredients, that are snail secretion filtrate and Centella Asiatica extract. The snail extract delivers great hydration and anti-inflammatory properties, while the Centella extract also helps to repair the skin.
Snail Secretion Filtrate
Snail Mucus or snail secretion filtrate claims to be rich in hyaluronic acid and antioxidants and thus help our skin to regenerate stimulating the formation of collagen, elastin, and dermal components that repair the signs of photoaging. Also, it claims to minimize the damage generated by free radicals that are responsible for premature skin aging (there is a Wikipedia entry for snail mucus, too). The snail mucus is not obtained by harming the snails, but it is collected in so-called snail farms.
Centella Asiatica
Centella Asiatica extracts have been used in traditional medicine and are still used today, having beneficial properties like wound-healing. Scientific studies have shown that continuous application of the extract can promote collagen-building, act anti-inflammatory, and anti-oxidative. The texture of the cream is like you’d expect it to be. A white-colored cream, that is not as stiff as Nivea, for example, but glides softly and feels very moisturizing and melty. It absorbs nicely and doesn’t pill when using sunscreen or BB creams on top. I used up the 50g of cream in such a short time because my skin loved it so much- and of course, it worked great during the day, but also for the night-time routine. Since my skin is dry, I definitely enjoyed all the hydrating properties of the cream, but the soothing properties were a plus during the night. I also mixed drops of oil into the cream for my night routine, to make it even richer.
If you have a dry skin type like me, I can assume, that you will like this cream. Also, if you are looking for minimal skincare products, this cream is a good choice, because it works during morning and evening skincare routines and contains hydrating and repairing properties. It has quite a nice smell that actually disappear after applied to the face, so it’s very mild. too bad it smells nothing like watermelon for me.
It has quite a watery texture instead of thick and oily. It’s also well absorbed to the skin! a bit sticky at first but then after a while, since it’s well absorbed, it’s not sticky anymore.
You only need few amount of products and it’s enough for the whole face, for my case.
How to use:
Use this mask last after all your skin care routine.
apply generous amount to the face and neck, leave it overnight

Nah I wanna share my experience here,
I’ve used this for a almost a month. dan for the first 2-3 weeks kulitku lagi sangat bermasalah.
I’m pretty sure it’s not because of the mask, but If I may guess it’s because I tried new toner/skin conditioner or new face wash yang ternyata ga cocok. my skin’s getting less itchy and better after I stop using that products and kinda stop this mask also for a while and just let me skin breathe for couple days, then I continue using this again.
the glow mask is kinda sticky IF you wear too much, but if it’s just generous amount, it’s not as sticky and as I said before, it’s very well absorbed.
Pertama pakai di kulit sangat lembab dan beneran paginya berasa supple banget kulitnya. but I have to say this product DOESN’T HELP with soothing my redness and irritation. It doesn’t help either with my acne, yang kalo aku boleh compare sama sleeping mask yang aku pakai sebelumnya itu bener2 bantu my irritated skin and most of the times, acne.

I don’t use alot of layers of skincare coz the more I use, the more my skin irritated and it’s super annoying, so i’m using a very basic skincare which is toner, moisturized, eye cream, acne spot gel and last but not least sleeping mask.
I feel using less means more to my skin. the more skincare I use, the more my skin feels too oily and dehydrated. I don’t know why but that’s how I felt.

I’ve never use anything like this before, biasa aku cuman pake feminine wash and biasa pake lotion aja dibagian luarnya. So it’s kinda my first time, which I have no expectation whatsoever for this product. Aku pake sehari cuman sekali and I use usually 2 pumps only. it took a while to absorbed like I said before.

Aku pernah ngalamin 2x area V ku gatel dan sampe bawa ke dokter di kasih obat, Aku kira ini kambuh, cuman ternyata gatelnya beda tempat and pas berhenti pake jadi mulai menghilang gatelnya berarti karena productnya.
Aku memang ga expect apapun sih dari ini, but to experience such discomfort is not a pleasant experience.
THIS IS NOT A BAD PRODUCT! karena kenyataannya banyak yang coba dan cocok, berarti kulitku aja yang emang ga cocok.

I was very excited to see what they had for the Spring box – the Winter box I just purchased because I wanted the bluetooth shower speaker that bad, lol. This one I decided to go ahead and just keep trying.
The cardigan is very soft and seems well-knit – it looks great layered over my clothes. It’s a loose fit but it still looks great! I’ve been liking it enough.
I’m not sure why this says “multiuse”? But it’s a pretty good all-in-one product, it’s just heavily scented, so if you don’t like scents you might not want this. To be honest it’s cute but it’s only useful if you care about having a two-in-one product… I like to switch up my body washes sometimes so it’s not something I’ll be buying again? Probably?
I NEVER wear necklaces because I’m weird about it and I hate how necklaces hang when you bend over and get in the way of things. BUT I was willing to give this one a chance – I’ll admit, I’ve only worn it once since I bought it but to be fair it’s only because the lock-down situation with COVID has prevented me from happening on occasions to dress up and leave my house except for groceries. After all this becomes semi-normal and I actually have work meetings again, I’ll definitely be wearing this with my business casual outfits. It’s cute! I actually like it. (And I’m surprised by how much this costs??)
I actually like this one – it’s moisturizing but not too thick, absorbs quickly and it’s a very subtle scent – I was expecting some heavy scent here because it’s advertised as some relaxing lotion. I was pleasantly surprised!
I absolutely LOVED this thing!! I’ve seen Winky Lux products in stores before (before the lock-down, anyway) and I was always hesitant to buy them because the packaging reminded me of the stuff I would buy when I was a pre-teen and I just wasn’t sure how good it would be. I guess I should’ve looked up reviews, because this stuff is SO hydrating for my lips – it’s actually better than my favorite DHC chapstick from Japan. What!! Except it does have a tint to it so I don’t put it on before bed. For those who like a very hydrating/moisturizing lip product that gives a hint of color that makes your lips look naturally pretty – this is it! I would 100% buy this again.
These tea towels – I’ll be honest here. I would never have bought these. Not in a million years. But the minute I pulled these out of the box, while I showed signs of disappointment, my husband grabbed these and said how much he loved them. I was taken by surprise, but he says these are great and he rinses and dries them after each use with our espresso machine – so hey, there’s a use for them after all! I never would have known what to do with them. There you go!
These I have not even touched – again, lock-down over here – so I will have to give my opinion on these later with an update. They’re cute I guess, and you can see the contents it seems because part of it is see-through. Three different sizes… made in China… not much else to say here!
So this is the stuff of legends, here. I heard about this back when I was right in the thick of my makeup-reviewing groove sometime last year or the year before (I lost track) – and this stuff was raved about by one of my favorite YouTubers and I was pretty excited to pull THIS out of the box! Awesome stuff, as advertised, it did make my makeup last longer but to be honest it could have a finer spray. It’s not as bad as the ELF sprayer but I’ve had finer misters as well.
This is useless. Comes with each box, I recycle it each time. It’s only useful if you actually want to buy the subscription in the first place because if you read the fine print they only give you a discount on each month for the first several months or whatever – none of them are actually free anyway. Meh!
Also some random Byte lippie promotional stuff, I also recycled it. Meh!
This is the guide to all the products in the box – it’s okay, it’s nice to flip through but to be honest they should just have an app and upload the info to it to save paper. You only really look at it once, right?
It’s a nice subscription but they could definitely improve it. I’ll keep it for now and see what happens next time! It’s still not a bad deal considering what was in it for Winter and Spring. Let’s see if I still like the Summer package!
