Product Review: Organique by Olinda Spring Whitening Skincare

by Lina Clémence June 1, 2025
written by Lina Clémence

The entire world is hopping onto the organic skincare trend, and for good reason. Products that are organic are safe for the skin, less likely to irritate sensitive skins, and gentle, yet effective. Today I’m reviewing a range of organic whitening products, so if you’re looking for bright, luminous, clear skin – you’re in the right place (or at least, reading the right article). Here we go.
Product

Organique by Olinda Spring is a skincare brand that formulates their products using the natural spring waters of Olinda, in Mt. Dandenong, Australia. The waters are not only naturally filtered and pure, they’re also mineral rich and supposedly good for health and highly beneficial to your skin. They’ve been making waves in Australia and beyond with their effective, natural, and affordable skincare, and they have, happily, reached Malaysian shores.
I received their entire whitening range. In this Whitening range there is the Gentle Cleanser, Multi-Active Toner, Facial Serum, Day Care Lotion, and Eye Cream. The range utilises Magnolia extract – high in antioxidants, anti-inflammatory, and prevents UV-induced pigmentation.
I have been using and testing the products over the past 3 weeks. My skin at the beginning of my trial was pretty good – dehydrated, but clear and even. I did have freckles and sun spots around my cheekbones and temples, and I was hoping to reduce their appearance with continued use of this range.
Packaging

What struck me immediately about Organique’s packaging was the high quality, despite the product’s price point. The bottles are made of a beautiful frosted glass and have the weight and feel of a luxury product. The pumps and covers all function beautifully and smoothly, and in these 3 weeks of use their functionality has remained top notch. I was incredibly pleased and impressed.
Performance
As is expected when you receive an entire range, I used all the products together in my daily skincare routine, only swapping out the day cream for a heavier, more hydrating moisturiser (the one I was using daily before trialling this range) at night.

The cleanser is foaming but doesn’t give you the kind of crazy foam that you get from most – I personally prefer this because I feel it doesn’t strip the skin as much.

I expected the lotion and day cream to be heavy and sticky, but they were both very lightweight and absorbed into the skin very quickly. My entire experience using the range was delightful and refreshing. The eye cream was slightly heavier, but still very lightweight, and almost felt like a heavier serum instead of a cream. This range is mildly scented, but I found it quite pleasant and the smell disappeared pretty quickly after application.
Verdict

After my 3 weeks of use, I’ve found that my skin is brighter and more luminous – there is this glow about it when it’s photographed, and my skin is less flaky in the dry areas around my cheeks and mouth. I haven’t noticed a significant reduction in the darkness of my freckles and sun spots, though I do think this range is much more effective at preventing the development of new spots than it is for removing pre-existing spots.
In my opinion, this is a beautiful starter range for anyone looking to begin an affordable, complete whitening skincare routine. It covers all the bases – great value for money, good hydration, good protection for the skin. If you’re looking to solve a more serious pigmentation problem, you might want to look at more extreme options instead (e.g. laser or peeling treatments).
This range retails at the below prices and is currently available at www.organique-skincare.com.my and I have a promo code! Enter EMILY20 for 20% off at checkout on their site.
Gentle Cleanser RM69
Multi-Active Toner RM79
Facial Serum RM129

DuSol Beauty Singapore-BLOG-What is Olivetta Hair Treatment ?

by Lina Clémence May 31, 2025
written by Lina Clémence

CMC is a natural lipid that glues the chain proteins in the middle layer (cortex) of the hair. It determines the hair strength, elasticity, shape and colour. CMC is lost during chemical processes like colouring and perming. However, the hair does not reproduce CMC again. CMC in the Olivetta treatment helps to repair the hair starting from the cortex, building hair strength and quality.

Step 2

After washing off the product applied in Step 1, spray a moisturising serum which helps to close up cuticles that were opened during the chemical process. Our hairstylist will massage the products into your hair for better absorption. It also creates another protective layer to seal moisture and nutrients in the hair shaft.

Step 3

The last step is to create a final layer for extra smoothness for better manageability of hair. Lay down and relax as your hair soaks up the product.

And that’s the end of the treatment. Enjoy getting your hair styled by our hair stylists and look forward to stronger and healthier hair*!

Am I Still Blogging? Yes, I Still Am.

by Lina Clémence May 31, 2025
written by Lina Clémence

I am doing this blog post simply because I get soooo many questions about whether I am still blogging or not!

In my heart, I still am, but I get where the questions are coming from as it’s been like 10 months since my last blog post. I don’t have any intentions to give this up at present, it’s just that I really went through a lot in the last 10 months, health-wise and logistics-wise. The health part, I feel like it’s a conversation for another time, but for the logistics, oh boy. My iMac was debilitatingly slow and couldn’t do anything productive anymore, it could take 30 seconds to execute a single command or mouse click. It would take a right click even up to a minute before the menu would appear. On the worst days, it could hang for 20-30 minute periods and I couldn’t do anything. Even starting it up took 20-30 minutes! Simple reels that might have taken 30-40 minutes to edit would have taken days on the iMac. Since I couldn’t get anything done anymore, I had to have it checked in for diagnostics and repair, and when it came back after many weeks, it really still was slow in many ways so the entire ordeal of having a backlog pile up went on for at least half a year. It took me quite some time to acquire another computer, transfer and back up all relevant files, and set up shop. This is why I have yet to recover from the worst backlog in my own history as a content creator.

By the time I got to adjust to all the file transfers, I found myself just as overwhelmed as any other content creator. With Instagram introducing reels in late 2021 and then starting to punish any non-reel content in 2022, it became so hard to catch up with blogging as I now had to conceptualize which content would be done in a reel and which would not. And sadly, more of that needed to be in a reel, adding so much more workload strain. Before the algorithm started to punish non-reel posts, I was able to do things seamlessly somehow as I would shoot photos that I could use for both Instagram and the blog, as well as for Facebook and even Twitter. Fast forward to this month, the average content creator now has to churn out video content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and YouTube non-Shorts––but every single platform wants a different approach and a different kind of content.

It would take a TED talk to explain all the intricacies, but I think it’s easy to see that for creators who were able to seamlessly use photos for blog posts and Instagram + Facebook posts before, it’s now much more complex and I’m honest that I’m not able to catch up. I wish I had an editing and shooting team like other creators so that I could free up so much of my time that goes into editing, shooting, and setting up and focus that time instead on conceptualizing and ‘performing/modeling’ for shoots. Everyone wants to be an influencer these days thinking about all the glitz and glamour, but in reality, if you’re unable or unwilling to shell out the money for professional equipment or professional teams, it will really be very hard to catch up with all the content requirements in both quality and quantity these days.

Even myself, I actually can’t even tell if people even read blogs anymore. As far as this blog’s stats are concerned, it’s been generally stable, but even I wonder who are the people who are still coming to visit my blog. I’m thankful for those who still come over to read or check out swatches because all the industry clamor has been short-form video content these days.

But when I do analyze things, I still want to continue blogging because being in this for so long, what I have come to realize is that there is no single social media site that can be dominant forever. I don’t know when will the algorithm of a certain app favor my posts or when an app might start punishing me, and every year, there is a new and more dominant site that everyone wants to swarm into. I want to continue providing reviews and swatches that can be easily searched for any time without having to suffer from decay algorithms that social media sites do (i.e. the older your post, the more hidden it will get).

So I guess the best explanation I can say is that I don’t have the intention to stop blogging, I just am overwhelmed with all the new industry content requirements like the rest of the creators in this industry. As someone who does everything myself, I still really am figuring out how I can continue conceptualizing, filming, editing, and managing all the replies and follow-ups without sacrificing my health and well-being.

Please give me time to figure this out. I think I’ll get to a solution somehow.

Lisa Eldridge Liquid Lurex eyeshadows

by Lina Clémence May 31, 2025
written by Lina Clémence

I am a massive fan of liquid sparkly makeup and two days before receiving my LE eye shadows, enthused by the holiday spirit, I shot a roundup of some of my favorite sparkly shimmery eye shadows. It didn’t end well. My eyes have been itchy, watery, sore since, and the reel I shot didn’t get saved. But I DID get some pretty pictures out of that exercise which had everyone DMing me about the eye shadow details.

About the Lisa Eldridge Liquid Lurex eye shadows (from the website) These easy-to-use eye embellishments will see you through the party season and beyond. With a flattering formula that is both creamy and lightweight, the Liquid Lurex Eyeshadow has a lustrous, wet-look finish with a durable shine that disco diva dreams are made of. Each of the five effortlessly blendable shades contains a mirrorball blend of multi-colored pearls that dance across the lids. Apply Liquid Lurex directly to the eyelids with the applicator and blend out immediately with fingertips or a brush for a sparkling wash of color. For more intense coverage apply a second layer for seamless full coverage disco drama. Liquid Lurex can also be used as an eyeliner either using a small liner brush or blended as a smoky line along the upper and lower lash line for a subtle flash of shimmering color.

So today, when I saw my little LE package, I wasn’t particularly excited, having categorized the new liquid lurex in the same general category of liquid sparkly eye shadows. I am happy to report that these are unlike anything else I have tried in the past! The formula is dense, uniform (I don’t like eyeshadows where the particles are unevenly distributed in the medium), and applies smoothly like silk. When you touch it, it doesn’t feel gritty AT ALL and YET, it gives that beautiful multi-dimensional sparkle, which thus far, only chunky, itch-inducing sparkly eye shadows have given me so far.

These don’t dry out very quickly either, which can be good or bad. You have some time to play with them before they ‘set’, but even as they set, they don’t give that dry, crepe-y, tight feeling to the eyelids. It didn’t bother me when I was 22 (I’m looking at you, MAC Paint Pots) but at 32, it does. I want my makeup to feel comfortable. And glamorous. And this does both!

With these liquid lurex eye shadows, Lisa has forever changed the liquid sparkly eyeshadow game for me! My collection thus far has the Pixi fairy light liquid, Stila, Wet n Wild liquid catsuit, Colourpop Supernova, Etude House Mirrorholic, but I don’t think I’ll be needing those anymore!

So if you’re in the market for smooth, non-gritty sparkle for the holiday season that has your lids sparkling like an expensive bauble, do consider these! I bought Angelica which is like dusty pink-toned champagne on my medium complexion (I’m no.17 in the LE Seamless Skin foundation) and Lauren which is a rich, molten yellow gold. There are 3 other shades in the range and I hope she considers expanding the range to include some more plums, purples, and jewel-toned shades!

What do you think of these? Would you be giving these a try? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below! x

Viral Tirtir BB cushion with 30 shades and why is that important

by Lina Clémence May 31, 2025
written by Lina Clémence

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve written on here, so hi again!  I have come back out from hiding and am back to bring you some news.  If you haven’t been on the internet lately, specifically Tiktok, you may or may not know there is a ridiculously viral Korean BB cushion gaining speed in popularity right now.  And if you have been a long-time reader, you would know I used to (and maybe still am) a huge BB cushion fanatic and still own 50 BB cushions in my collection.  Naturally, I had to get my hands on it to try, which I posted an Instagram reel not too long ago if you want to check it out.

With all the hype going around, I wanted to dig deeper into the brand.  Is Tirtir a Korean or Japanese brand, who is the founder and what is their brand story.  Is the Tirtir red cushion really that good and do they have more versions to choose from?  And how is a Korean brand able to produce 30 shades while other bigger brands like Laneige only able to offer 8 shades even though they’ve been in the North American market for almost a decade, if not longer.  We’re going to dive into all of these topics and hopefully I can answer majority of the questions you might have.  Let’s go~

I actually couldn’t find much information about the brand, nor were they able to give me the brand philosophy when I reached out. From what I could gather, Tir is an acronym for “Trust + In + Radiance”.

“Our mission is to help our customers find their own inner, healthy radiance, and we hope our products can help do so by bringing out the glow in everyone.”

Tirtir was founded in 2016/2017 by Korean beauty influencer Lee Yubin who was born in 1988 and graduated with a degree in clothing/ fashion.  She went on to launch a clothing shopping mall called “TheThat” in 2013 and operated for four years.  Other then that, there doesn’t seem to be information on the website either which is odd. I did find this article from the Korea Post dating back to 2021 and it highlighted how Lee Yubin received “$10 million export tower” award at the 57th Trade Day.

Picture from Korea Post article

Is Tirtir a Korean brand or Japanese brand?

There seems to be confusion around this topic, rightfully so though.  Tirtir is a Korean brand, however, the red cushion gained lots of popularity in Japan and even won first place Cosme award for the best cushion foundation in 2022 and 2023.  For those who don’t know, Cosme is Japan’s consumer cosmetic rating system which is based on consumer rating and not bought out by advertisers.

A lot of times, Korean brands and even Western brands have Asia-specific products only sold in specific countries or regions.  In Tirtir’s case, this was exported to Japan and it gained such a cult following in Japan, which is now causing confusion for overseas folks now discovering this gem and thinking it is Japanese because of the Japanese hype it is already getting.

What is a BB cushion?  What is the difference between BB cushion and BB cream?

To understand what BB cushion is, we have to first understand what BB cream is.  BB cream is short for “blemish balm”, and was originally formulated back in 1960’s in Germany by dermatologist Dr. Christine Schrammek.  BB cream was formulated to help her patient’s protect their sensitive skin after facial peels or surgery.  It was then popularized in South Korea and was a smash hit during the early 2000’s, with brands like Skin79, Etude House, Missha and Skinfood fueling the popularity spreading across Asia.  Sadly back then, BB creams had an unfortunate grey undertone to them and also had 1 to 3 shades to choose from if you were lucky.  Shade selection was little to no choice and we all had to just suffer because they were comfortable on the skin and gave us decent coverage for every day.

In 2008, Amorepacific (Korea’s equivalent of Estee Lauder mother company housing many other brands) released a new product that was soaked in a special urethane foam and housed in what we now know as the cushion compact.  IOPE (an Amorepacific brand) introduced its air cushion sunblock in 2008, and than 2013 was when they released their iconic IOPE air cushion XP.  I remember those days vividly wanting to get my hands on it so bad that I did an internet trade with someone off of Reddit.  Those were the struggle days when online shopping was not as accessible as it is now.

Fast forward to the present day, almost all Western brands including drugstores and high-end luxury brands now have BB cushions in their product lineup.  The one thing that K-beauty has always struggled with is their shade selection.  Even for such a homogenous country as well as the neighboring countries, I remember visiting Korea and seeing so many women on the street walking around with unnaturally ghostly-looking faces.  I do understand it is a deep-rooted cultural thing where you’re considered more attractive if you have pale skin because back in the ancient days, those with darker skin technically was the working class who slaved away in the sun, working jobs like farming while the noblemen were inside being fed grapes and staying away from the sun.

Why is Tirtir 30 shades of BB cushion revolutionary and why it needs to be celebrated?

Those of you who have had experience trying to buy any type of base makeup from a Korean brand would know you always only had 2-3 shades to choose from, 5 if you are lucky and most likely you’ll find those 5 shades from a luxury brand.  Tirtir did start with only 3 shades to choose from like most Korean brands, however, Tiktok content creator @missdarcei who is a Canadian content creator, created a buzz on the Tirtir cushion when trying on their newly expanded 9 shade range, garnering 20 million views on that video.

She is known to try not only Western brands but Korean brands as well as, calling out the fact that no Korean brands carry her foundation shade.  One would say “well of course they don’t have her color, Korea/ Asia is such a homogenous country/ continent, why would they have a color suited for an African American/ Canadian descent?”  Most people and brands would just leave it alone, but Tirtir was smart and used that as constructive criticism. In a short frame of time of just 4 months, somehow Tirtir has been able to pull together 30 shades.  30 SHADES!!  The last time that has happened and made a splash in the beauty world was Fenty.  I’m not sitting here saying no other Western brands have 30 shades in their existing lineup of foundations, but for a Korean brand….. that’s unheard of.

So we went from these humble 3 shade beginnings, to……

Now 30 shades have released on June 5th of 2024.

In comparison to what Puritio’s cica clearing BB cream which offered a decent range of 6 shades, this now compared to Tirtir’s 30 shades is laughable.  I would say BB cream are suppose to be a “tinted moisturizer” type of product, so they are thinking it should somewhat blend into the skin thinly so shade range isn’t a huge problem.  I have seen people swatching and reviewing these.  I personally never jumped on reviewing these because they looked SO grey, it’s almost taking two steps forward and five steps back to early 2000’s.

Heimish also did what Purito did, offering 8 shades with their BB cream line.  The light range is pretty terrible and the medium to dark is alright??

Lastly, Laneige does have a slightly bigger shade range with their BB cushions and foundations, offering 15 shades.  I know they have this cool customizable foundation robot in Korea which you can custom-make your own foundation, but who is realistically going to fly to Korea just so they can get the perfect shade match.  The shade range goes up to 150 shades (don’t quote me, it is something crazy though), but couldn’t they spend that money to invest in expanding their North American shade range if they have been in the market for a decade now??  Laneige, surprisingly, doesn’t already have a huge range of shades readily in stores since their mother brand (Amorepacific) is the Korean equivalent of the Estee Lauder group in the east.

So what does this mean for the future?  With Tirtir’s smart and strategic move to produce 30 shades of foundation for a Korean brand, this now sets a higher standard for all other K-beauty brands.  I’m hoping this ideology will seep into Korea’s domestic market as well and offer the people at LEAST 10 shades to choose from.  For Korean brands marketed towards overseas markets like Beauty of Joseon, Purito, Cosrx, they will now have to step up to the plate and offer the people what they want.  If an “unknown” (unknown to the overseas market) brand like Tirtir can magically produce 30 shades and include a dark chocolate, melanin-friendly shade that isn’t BLACK (yes, I’m talking about you Youthforia), any other brand can do it too.  The people no longer will settle for less.

For those who didn’t know, Tirtir has 5 versions of BB cushions. Tirtir mask fit red cushion is the most popular at the moment, offering 30 shades while the rest still has 3 shades to offer.  Which version is suited best for you?  Let me break it down:

Tirtir cushion for oily skin –> Tirtir mask fit cushion (black compact) for natural matte coverage
Tirtir cushion for oily skin –> Tirtir mask fit all-cover cushion (pink compact) for higher matte coverage than the black one
Tirtir cushion for normal to dry skin –> Tirtir mask fit aura cushion for light to medium coverage with a semi glow finish
Tirtir cushion for normal to dry skin –> Tirtir mask fit red cushion (red compact) for medium to a buildable high coverage
Tirtir for normal to dry skin –> Tirtir my glow cream cushion (white compact) for a light, dewy finish

I haven’t tried all the versions yet, so don’t quote me on my predictions on which cushion would be suitable for your skin type.  I’ve only tried the fit red cushion for the time being and it is a beautiful formula with very good coverage!  It doesn’t cling onto my dry patches, has a light natural glow and my skin looks truly flawless.  I didn’t get the right shade the first time, so now that I have four more shades to try, I’ll report back and see how it performs throughout the day.

Where can I buy Tirtir in Korea, Japan, USA?

For those of you visiting Korea, here are the two places you can find Tirtir’s store and products.  Both locations are located in Seoul, South Korea.  Specific products can be found in Olive Young, however most skincare and makeup products aren’t found offline.  Your best option is to visit Tirtir’s showroom.
Hapjeong (Hongdae) Branch: 5 Jandari-ro 3an-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul 04043
Seongsu Branch: 21 Wangsimni-ro 6-gil, Seongdong-gu, Seoul 04778

As for those visiting Japan, you can find Tirtir products at these locations:
Cosme in Harajuku (1 Chome-14-27 Jingumae, Shibuya City, Tokyo 150-0001, Japan)
LOFT in Shibuya (21-1 Udagawacho, Shibuya City, Tokyo 150-0042, Japan)
Mega Don in Quijote in Shibuya (28-6 Udagawacho, Shibuya City, Tokyo 154-0042, Japan)

And for those who are living in North America, Tirtir can be found on Amazon US and Skincupid.

_______________

In conclusion, I think Tirtir’s fast response to their virality is a true testimony of how their brand is going to grow in the future.  A responsive brand that puts its money where its mouth is truly deserves recognition, especially when we know how long it normally takes brands to produce just one brand.  It normally takes months, if not years!!  And to be able to somehow perfect the shade range, when even Western brands can’t seem to get darker shades right for years.  Like WHAT??  I’m excited to see what Tirtir has to offer and hopefully they can also fix their official website’s terrible loading speed LOL.

Coming Full Circle in Haridwar: From Childhood Memories to Thrilling New Discoveries – Cherry on Top

by Lina Clémence May 31, 2025
written by Lina Clémence

As a child, I remember clutching my mother’s hand tightly while walking barefoot along the ghats of Haridwar. The scent of incense, the rhythmic chants, the hypnotic flicker of oil lamps during the Ganga Aarti — these memories are etched in my heart like sacred verses. Back then, Haridwar was, to my little mind, a city of prayer, ritual, and devotion. We’d visit Mansa Devi by ropeway, take a dip in the chilly waters at Har Ki Pauri, and return to our hotel wrapped in the calm that only a spiritual town could offer.

Fast forward to the present — decades later — I found myself back in Haridwar, only this time with a backpack and a soul full of adventures. And what greeted me wasn’t just nostalgia. It was awe.

Haridwar has changed. Or perhaps, evolved is the better word.

Yes, the spirit of the city is still deeply spiritual. Har Ki Pauri still draws thousands of devotees every evening, and the Ganga Aarti remains as magical and soul-stirring as I remembered it. The temples of Chandi Devi and Mansa Devi still stand proud on their respective hills, welcoming seekers with the same grace and energy.

But in between those ancient rhythms, a new beat has emerged — the pulse of adventure, exploration, and youthful vibrancy.

Haridwar’s Surprising Adventure Side

I never imagined I’d associate Haridwar with adrenaline. And yet, there I was, strapping on a helmet and life jacket, ready to raft down the very river I once offered my diyas.

River rafting on the Ganges in Haridwar is, quite honestly, surreal. It’s like playing on a divine playground. The rapids are thrilling, the scenery is heart-stoppingly beautiful, and the experience — pure joy. There’s something poetic about being carried by the same river that carries centuries of prayers.

And this wasn’t even the only surprise.

Haridwar now has paramotoring! I didn’t try it on this trip (next time, for sure!), but seeing the parachutes gliding against the sky as the Ganga shimmered below was a visual I won’t soon forget. Add to that the Rajaji National Park nearby, offering safaris and a peek into Uttarakhand’s wild side, and suddenly Haridwar isn’t just a destination for pilgrims — it’s a playground for all kinds of travellers.

Rediscovering Stillness at Pebbles by the Ganges

On this trip, I stayed at a peaceful riverside homestay stay called Pebbles By the Ganges. The name is poetic, yes, but the setting is even more so. Just steps away from the river, the property gave me the quiet mornings I love and the thrill of adventure just when I needed it. It’s one of those rare places where you can do Ganga Aarti at sunrise and go rafting in the afternoon.

The property has just eight rooms, so it never feels crowded or commercial. My room had a warm, cozy feel — think local textures, modern comforts, and the soft lull of the Ganges in the background. But what made Pebbles By The Ganges stand out wasn’t just the ambiance — it was the access.

They’re partnered with Himalayan Flyers for paramotoring (yes, those gorgeous parachutes I saw!) and offer river rafting right from their property. Imagine walking out of your room, grabbing a paddle, and being in the rapids within minutes — that’s exactly what I did. I never thought I’d say this, but Haridwar gave me my first rafting experience, and it was nothing short of magical.

It also helped that the property is just a short drive from Har Ki Pauri and the main temples. So I didn’t have to miss out on the spiritual side of Haridwar either. One morning, I hiked up to Chandi Devi, another evening I lit a diya at the ghat. But in between those quiet, soulful moments, I was laughing mid-rapids and sipping chai by the river, completely at peace.

A City That Now Has It All

What struck me most on this trip was how beautifully Haridwar balances both its worlds. You can come here to reconnect with your spiritual roots, and you can also come here to feel alive in the wildest, most adventurous ways. Families, solo travelers, yoga seekers, wildlife enthusiasts — Haridwar now welcomes them all.

It’s no longer a “temple town” — it’s a dynamic, multifaceted destination.

As a travel blogger who thrives on discovering places that blend culture with experience, I can’t recommend Haridwar enough. Come for the temples, stay for the thrill. Or come for the thrill and let the calmness of the Ganga surprise you.

Just don’t forget to pack an open heart — and maybe, a waterproof camera.

Because this isn’t just the Haridwar of my childhood anymore.

It’s something better.

Yes, when you are suffering from dry and rough skin you need not worry, because you have with you “Vaseline Total Moisture Cocoa Glow Body Lotion” by Hindustan Unilever limited. Sounds sassy? This is the magic of writing. I am getting more natural as I am writing more articles ;-). Anyways, you must all know about Vaseline. It is a very old, renowned, and trusted brand so one does not need to mull to give a try to any of its products.

What the product promises:

With pure Cocoa Butter and Stratys 3 Multi-layer moisture, Cocoa Glow lotion leaves your skin feeling healthy and glowing. This rich-feeling formula ignites skin’s natural glow at the source.

My take on “Vaseline Total Moisture Cocoa Glow Body Lotion”

I have very dry skin, so before trying out Vaseline Cocoa Glow whatever lotion I used to apply faded away in a few hours. My skin used to itch and look scaly as if I had not applied any lotion. Few body lotions are so oily that they get easily transferred to the clothes that make the clothes stink. Have you ever experienced this mixed fragrance: perfume plus body lotion? yuk.

My cousin advised me to start using Vaseline Total Moisture Cocoa. She told me about the many benefits of cocoa and immediately I decided to give it a chance. One of the most sought-after benefits of cocoa is that it helps in reducing stretch marks. With Vaseline Cocoa Glow’s regular use, the stretch marks are almost gone.

Vaseline Total Moisture Cocoa Glow Body Lotion Review

Vaseline Total Moisture Cocoa Glow Body Lotion Review

Vaseline cocoa glow body lotion comes in a flip-open tube. The body lotion is a little off-white in colour and has a yummy chocolaty fragrance. This body lotion penetrates deep inside the first layer of the skin i.e. stratum corneum and makes it look hydrated. I use it regularly after a bath and apply it firmly all over the body. There is no fear of sticking or stinking as it is oil-free and has a beautiful chocolate fragrance. This body lotion glides easily onto the skin and does not require any extra effort to spread.

As I have already mentioned usually my skin becomes scaly and starts itching, sometimes the dryness reaches to an extent where I feel that my skin is tearing out. For the first time I used this body lotion my skin felt a drastic change. It felt soft and all the dryness was gone – such a big relief  My skin now looks healthy and shines out of happiness.

Currently, I’m using some products from Wishtrend in my regular skincare routine, and I enjoy them a lot. So, if you need some shopping inspiration, here are my current picks for you. Of course, all of these are cruelty-free:

Cruelty-free Skincare Favorites from Wishtrend

I’m from Rice Toner (currently on sale for 18.20$)

The number one pick, that I can recommend really a lot, is the I’m From Rice Toner. I will review it this week on my blog, too, because I’ve almost finished using it. This milky toner is a staple in my skincare routine, and I will probably repurchase it on the next occasion. It contains 77.78% of rice extract from Jeju which helps with your skin’s elasticity. Apart from rice extract, it contains Niacinamide and other plant-based ingredients like rice bran extract, Japanese elm bark extract, common purslane extract, and amaranthus caudatus seed extract. The texture differs from the typically watery toners, not only because of the milky appearance, but also it feels slightly creamy, too. I’m using it as the second toner in my morning routine.

Cruelty-free Skincare Favorites from Wishtrend

Klairs Fundamental Watery Oil Drop (currently on sale for 24.80$)

This oil-like moisturizing serum combines Jeju Green Tea Water, Bifida and Rice Ferment Extract and Peptide and feels rich and nourishing, without being greasy or sticky like a facial oil. I think, this is especially great for oily skin types, who have dehydrated skin, and don’t want to use facial oils. I think it is also great for the summer season for dry skin types, for additional hydration in the daytime routine. It gives a subtle but healthy glow, too.

Cruelty-free Skincare Favorites from Wishtrend

Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream (currently on sale for 20$)

This calming and soothing cream containing Guaiazulene is not only famous for the signature light blue color of the cream, but it is also a very thick and rich texture and can be greatly used as occlusive cream as the last step of your nighttime skincare. In the official instructions, it is said, that you can use it on the desired areas in a thick layer. I love using this cream all over my face. It has a wonderful effect and I also reviewed it previously on my blog >>here<<.

Cruelty-free Skincare Favorites from Wishtrend

By Wishtrend Natural Vitamin 21.5% Enhancing Sheet Mask (currently on sale for 2.25$ per mask)

Hands down, I love the by Wishtrend Vitamin C line. I’ve used 3-4 bottles of the serum already and you can find my (old) review >>here<<. But I can also recommend this Vitamin C mask from the same line as gentle in-between vitamin kick for your skin. It’s a very thin sheet mask soaked heavily in essence with 21.5% of a natural vitamin complex (Vitamin Tree Water & Boseong Green Tea Water) and provides a simple and gentle vitamin care for sensitive skin types, for those avoiding the highly concentrated vitamin C serum. The mask has only 12 ingredients, too, which I love.

I have used many more products from various brands sold on Wishtrend and you can also browse through my archives for more reviews and impressions. Also, although I use my affiliate links, which give me a small commission if any purchases are made through these links, I would not write this post, If I’m not really loving these products. Through my skincare journey within the last years, Wishtrend and the products they offer have always been really great for my skin and I enjoyed trying out new products from their brands. They have so many innovative ideas and have developed and improved so much through all the years, and they definitively deserve to be known all around the world. So head over to Wishtrend and have fun shopping!

Acne Series (Facial Wash, Acne Serum, and Acne Cream) Review

by Lina Clémence May 30, 2025
written by Lina Clémence

 Hello bunnies ♥

Happy July ♥

Kulit aku acne prone, sensitive and now oily-oily skin.

sempet kondisi kulitku berubah-berubah dari oily to combination, sekarang balik lagi ke oily.

Jadi setelah seleksi (nyari tau dari ingredients) aku putusin buat coba acne care dari SCARLETT WHITENING. Sekalian aku mau upgrade skincare aku tapi tetep keep it minimalis atau kira2 yang sesuai kulit wajah aku butuhin sih. Jadi disini aku mau ajak kalian kenalan sama produk acne care mereka, yaitu:
SCARLETT Brightening Facial Wash, Acne Serum, Acne Day Cream dan Acne Night Cream

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Tapi memang produk wajah itu cocok-cocokan yah, jadi aku mau sampein dulu kalo di aku ga cocok bukan berarti produknya ga bagus, yah berarti it’s not for me.

Sebelum lanjut aku mau unfo dulu juga, kalo SCARLETT WHITENING face care udah teruji bebas Merkuri dan Hydroquinon dan produk-produk nya Scarlett udah BPOM semua 🙂 SCARLETT  face care ada 2 series;

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Without further ado, kita mulai review dari facial wash nya yah!

pas liat botolnya, aku langsung OMO cantik banget, tone-tone pink gitu (aku pink maniac), mana ada rose petals pink-merah gitu, botolnya pun gemes langsing kecil gitu, dengan cap buka tutup gitu.

emesh >.<

bottle size 3,4 Fl. Oz. / 100ml

price: IDR 75.00

Facial washnya udah BPOM yah 🙂

Scarlett facial wash ini punya key ingredients nya Glutathione, Aloe Vera, Rose petal dan Vitamin E.

Claim dari Scarlett facial wash ini:

– Mencerahkan wajah

~ Ingredients List ~

~ How To Use ~

just pour out ke tangan kalian secukupnya, jangan lupa basahin wajah dulu baru di apply gently to the face. Kalo di box bilang warm water, kalo aku awal basahin pake warm water, akhir bilas bersih pake cold water, muka bawaannya jadi lebih seger.

~ My Opinion ~

Aku pake ini udah 2 minggu nih. I found this abit hmm.. gimana jelasinnya yah. Jadi aku ga pernah double cleansing kalo ga pake makeup biar ga terlalu ‘cleansing’ sedangkan sehari-hari cuman dirumah yang ga makeup-an gitu. When I use this facial wash 1x awal ngerasa biasa aja, tapi lately, pas hampir 1 minggu pake, I have to double wash my face, karena kayak kurang ngangkat minyak di wajah kalo cuman 1x, pas cuci 2x baru berasa bersih tapi bukan bersih keset, tapi kayak feel nya ‘akhirnya bersih ga berasa wajah berat krna masih ada minyak’

soalnya berasanya juga pas pake exfoliating toner dikapas tuh masih kotor, padahal air buat cuci muka tuh khusus (saking air bikin kulit muka sensitive). Pas kalo cuci nya 2x baru pas pake toner, kapasnya bersih.

untungnya walau cara 2x cuci gitu cukup amazed ga bikin kulit kerasa ketarik or bersih keset kering gitu, menurutku tetep bantu kulit cukup bersih tanpa stripping.

Claim lainnya

~ Ingredients List ~

~ How To Use ~

~ My Opinion ~

Frankly speaking, aku ga nyangka I would like this serum tho.

I still wanna see further results tho, jadi aku mau lanjutin sampe si botol mungil ini kosong kering biar aku bisa kasih update lagi nanti disini.

Now last but not least! the Creams

Percaya ga sih 2 taun lalu aku ga pernah masukin moisturizer ke skin regime aku, just because that time my skin condition is at its worst jadi pake moisturizer is somewhat too much for me. Until last year, when I decided to include that on my everyday skin regime, because I realize how important moisturizer is for the skin. Setelah itu aku ga pernah skip moisturizer. Cuman aku selalu pake moisturizer yg sama buat pagi dan malem until I try SCARLETT.
SCARLETT Acne Cream ada 2 varian for Day dan buat Night

Masing-masing produk dibungkus dalam bentuk pot, ga ada spatulanya jadi menurutku agak kurang hygenis, but selama kalian selalu bersiin sebelum dan setelah pakai then it won’t be a problem sih.

Melihat dari acne-prone skin punya kulit leih cepat berminyak di siang hari, so light-weight and watery moisturizer is much appreciated.

Day Cream

Night Cream

Warnanya both white milk gitu tapi yang night cream lebih ke putih agak kuning and I think scent nya sama keduanya. Scent nya aku suka banget, mungkin for some bakal ga suka tapi aku suka banget wanginya kayak wangi herb yang calming di wajah.

For Day cream sewaktu di apply lebih cepat menyerap dibanding Night cream mungkin karena texture nya juga yah yang bisa jadi pengaruh.

~ Ingredients List ~

ini masing-masing ingredients list nya:

Day cream

Night cream

~ How To Use ~

~ My Opinion ~

First, I love the Day cream texture more than the Night cream, mungkin karena aku biasa pake gel-like moisturizer jadi ga berat diwajah. lalu, second one, aku suka banget sama scent dari Day and Night cream ini, wangi herb yang bener-bener calming, ga strong, tapi pas di apply ke wajah scent nya masih ada, menurutku kayak bantu setelah pake serum yang bau nya agak gimana gitu.

Walau dia di pot kecil yah, isinya banyak, 2 minggu pake tapi kayak isi ga berkurang (apa cuman perasaan aja yah).

but, yes ada tapinya, walau yang day cream nya udh cukup watery tapi dia masih bentuk cream jadi sorry that I have to say oil controlnya sangat kurang, karena by the mid if the day mukaku minyakan semua sampe, kan aku pake kacamata yah, melorot mulu kacamatanya hahaha kegiatan ku ga berat secara cuman dirumah doang. Same thing with the Night cream, pagi-pagi bangun muka rasanya beraaat banget, karena berminyak sekali.

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

~ Where to buy? ~

Harganya IDR 75.00 per produk
