Multimasking – Featuring Plant apothecary and Elde

by Lina Clémence May 30, 2025
written by Lina Clémence

The festive season, wonderful as it is, can really take a toll on your skin. As someone who doesn’t usually drink, that prosecco on Christmas day has been awful for my skin. Dry flaky patches and a little bit dull looking, not a great look.
When it comes to skincare one of the best quick fixes available is a facemask. The beauty of facemasks is that they can be tailored to what your skin needs at the time. I sometimes like to do a couple of different masks in one day, or target different areas of the skin with different formulas.

Today I have two facemasks to show you that have been getting a lot of use and that are perfect for a quick pick me up:

Elde Enzyme Treatment – This treatment uses fruit enzymes to gently buff the skin making it brighter and softer in a single application. On the skin it has a similar effect to the Oskia Renaissance mask*, although admittedly the Oskia definitely has the edge on Elde in terms of how pleasurable it is to use. I find Elde products very effective, but very functional in their packaging and feel of the products, this Scandinavian brand is fragrance free and good for sensitive skin. The mask also contains salicylic acid to help with breakouts and allantoin to soothe the skin, making it a really good all round treatment. You have to massage the formula in to the face to activate the ingredients and I like to leave on for around ten minutes, making it a good one for when you are short on time.

Plant apothecary Matcha antioxidant mask* – Such a wonderful, soothing and balancing mask. Perfect for skin that is a bit out of sorts. The base of White Kaolin makes it perfect for even sensitive skin types, I have talked before about my preference for white or pink clay for my skin type as others such as Bentonite can be far too harsh. It also contains matcha powder, which gives it a gorgeous green colour and is packed full of antioxidants.

You can add a variety of hydrosols or face oils to this mix, as it contains three simple but effective ingredients clay, matcha and chamomile it lends itself well to customisation. As it is a powder mask, you simply mix up each batch fresh and use immediately.

What facemasks are you using to rescue your skin this festive season?

Powered by the planet: Four products from Herbivore Botanicals you need to try

by Lina Clémence May 30, 2025
written by Lina Clémence

I’ve been a real wellness kick lately.  Although I’ve always been one to workout a lot (I do some form of exercise five days a week and move everyday), I’ve been really focusing on nutrition and consuming and using better-for-you products.  This comes to skincare too.

Although I do love so many skincare brands, I have been leaning towards more natural products.  One brand that I’ve been intrigued about for a while is Herbivore Botanicals. Herbivore, which started in Seattle in 2011, has skincare products with an emphasis on natural, high-quality ingredients.  Their items are free of synthetic ingredients, including dyes, fragrances, and parabens. They also package them in glass and paper, using recycled and recyclable plastic only when necessary.

The thing that drew me to Herbivore initially was it’s super aesthetic packaging, which features glass bottles and simple labels. They have the kind of products that you want to display since they are simple, but oh so aesthetic. I recently got some items sent to me from the brand and couldn’t want to try them out. Their line ranges from serums to eye creams, moisturizers, masks, and more.

Curious on what to try? Then keep reading…

Herbivore Botanicals Blue Tansy Resurfacing Clarity Mask

Blue Tansy Resurfacing Clarity Mask

Looking for a product to help with large pores? Then you’ll like the Blue Tansy Resurfacing Clay Mask (C$66). This natural mask gently clarifies skin with BHAs and white willow bark, fruit enzymes, as well as aloe and blue tansy essential oil to help with the appearance of redness and irritation.

I actually had never heard of blue tansy before but it’s a natural source of azulene, which in addition to giving the mask its blue colour, it helps to also soothe the appearance of redness and irritation.

This mask is best suited for oily to blemish-prone skin, and if you have more sensitive skin then I would recommend a spot test first to make sure you don’t get irritated.  This mask helps wth enlarged pores and blemish-prone skin, uneven skin texture, oily or combination skin, and dullness.

Apply the product to your skin and then leave on for 15 to 20 minutes before rinsing off. Use it a couple times a week for the best results.

Herbivore Botanicals Super Nova 5% Vitamin C + Caffeine Brightening Eye Cream

Super Nova 5% Vitamin C + Caffeine Brightening Eye Cream

Do you suffer from dark circles or dull underlies? Then you’ll love the Super Nova 5% Vitamin C + Caffeine Brightening Eye Cream (C$63). This eye cream is great for dark circles, puffiness, and dryness.

The formula contains THD vitamin C, which is a highly efficacious form of vitamin C, as well as turmeric and caffeine to wake up the eye area.  Apply this eye cream in the morning to instantly wake up the eyes and depuff them, while also brightening the look of dark circles in seven days.

Although this is mainly for daytime use (because of the vitamin C and caffeine), you can use it at night as well.

Herbivore Botanicals Emerald Hemp Seed and Adaptogens Deep Moisture Glow Oil and Moon Fruit Serum

Emerald Hemp Seed and Adaptogens Deep Moisture Glow Oil

Looking for moisturized skin that glows? Then you’ll love the Emerald Hemp Seed and Adaptogens Deep Moisture Glow Oil (C$66). This serum gives skin intense moisture and a natural-looking glow.

Suitable for all skin types, this serum can be applied morning and night, and targets dryness and dullness to reveal glowing skin. The formula contains a blend of omega-fatty-acid-rich hemp seed oil, which also soothes skin, as well as adaptogens like shiitake mushroom and ashwagandha root to protect skin against environmental stressors.  It also has cannabis in it, which will help calm skin.

Moon Fruit 1% Bakuchiol + Peptides Retinol Alternative Serum

Love retinol but looking for a natural version? Then you’ll love the Moon Fruit 1% Bakuchiol + Peptides Retinol Alternative Serum (C$82).

This plant-based retinol-alternative serum helps treat signs of aging thanks to the one per cent bakuchiol and plant peptides. Bakuchiol is an isolated extract from the babchi plant that mimics the smoothing and firming benefits of retinol. It also contains plant peptides to visibly tighten skin, as well as a blend of super fruits that contain vitamins C, E, B5, and antioxidants, amino and fatty acids that firm skin.

This nighttime serum targets fine lines and wrinkles, loss of firmness, and dryness. The great thing about bakuchiol is that it’s non-irritating, unlike retinol, which when applied too much can give you irritation, dryness, and redness. This serum contains 100 per cent plant-based ingredients promising to gently give you the anti-aging benefits you’re looking for without any issues or irritation. It’s also pregnancy safe.

Herbivore Botanicals products

Herbivore has a ton of other skincare products available as well and I can tell you already that with such a small taste of the brand I’ve had so far, I will definitely be looking into trying out more items. Not only is the packaging so cute, but I love the fact that it’s a plant-powered skincare line that is good for you and the planet.

Have you tried any items from Herbivore Botanicals?

Please note, all products provided by PR. All opinions are my own.

SWALEDALE CHATEAUBRIAND & A ROASTED ROOT SALAD. | Barely There Beauty

by Lina Clémence May 29, 2025
written by Lina Clémence

Everything about this dish is delicious. Simultaneously fresh but moreish, light but substantial. At it’s heart I’m featuring chateaubriand from Swaledale Butchers and alongside it, my most favourite of salads.

We really like to support smaller businesses where we can, especially over large supermarket chains and I love that butchers and other artisan food producers are branching out and providing the means to purchase their produce nationwide.

Swaledale kindly offered me the opportunity to try their wares, a chance
at which I jumped. Yorkshire-based, top-to-tail butchery from animals
reared on small farms in the Dales, they’ve a wide range from prime cuts
to offal and bones. Choosing lesser known breeds and fresh over frozen, they also curate boxes should you like to try a selection – I have my eyes on this one.

I plumped
for their chateaubriand this time – pan fried, lots of butter, then
roasted whole, sliced thin, medium rare, such a treat.

Vegetarians and vegans alike avert your eyes momentarily as I share this beautiful hunk of boeuf.

Ingredients

The beef:
700g chateaubriand
A couple of sprigs of rosemary
Drizzle of olive oil
Knob of butter
A couple of crushed garlic cloves in skins
Salt & pepper

The salad:
150g washed rocket
300g carrots, peeled & chopped
2 large, or 3 small, beetroot, peeled & cut into wedges
2 good handfuls of pecans
2 tbsps light brown sugar
Chilli flakes
Salt & pepper

The dressing:
Juice of 2 lemons
A scant tsp of mustard
1 finely crushed garlic clove
Chopped rosemary
60ml olive oil
Salt & pepper

Method

Preheat an oven to 180C. Toss the beets and carrots in olive oil, salt and pepper. Roast for 35-40 minutes until toasty and tender.

Meanwhile add all of the viniagrette ingredients into a jar and shake well until combined.

In a dry pan over a medium heat toast the nuts until fragrant, before
adding the sugar, lots of black pepper and a pinch of salt and chilli
flakes. Once mostly melted, remove onto a sheet of parchment to cool (I
advise making more than stated here as they’re a moreish snack).

For the beef, I followed Swaledale’s cooking instructions:

Remove the chateaubriand from the fridge ahead of time to come up to room temp.

Season a board well with salt and pepper, roll the meat around to season all sides evenly.

Preheat an oven to 165C.

Sear the meat in a little olive oil over a high heat, quickly brown on all sides.

Turn down the heat and add butter, rosemary sprigs and garlic. Once the butter begins to foam, baste the meat.

Transfer the pan to the oven and roast for 4 minutes. Flip over the steak, baste and roast for another 4 minutes.

Remove the chateaubriand from the oven to a plate/tray and tip over the
hot butter/juices. Tent with foil and allow to rest for 15 minutes.

Once the vegetables are cooked, remove from the oven and pour over the
viniagrette (everything goes a beautiful shade of cerise thanks to the
beets).

In a large mixing bowl, add the dressed roasted roots, rocket and pecans, toss and take to the table.

Once rested, slice the chateaubriand against the grain and serve.

Chateaubriand-roasted-vegetable-salad

I must note that the beef was delicious. Delightfully, truly tender with a smooth, rounded, beefy flavour.

Thank you to Swaledale for enabling this delicious dinner.

xx

Unlock Your Confidence With These Beauty And Style Tips

by Lina Clémence May 29, 2025
written by Lina Clémence

Unlock Your Confidence With These Beauty And Style Tips

Confidence is a tricky thing, but we know when it’s on our side. When it is, the world just feels easier. Everything seems possible, and we move through life with a sense of ease and self-assurance. But when confidence slips? That’s when doubt creeps in, and even the simplest things can feel a little heavier.

There’s no single thing that gives us confidence. It’s usually a combination of many factors, and yes, appearance can play a role. While looks aren’t everything, they do matter when it comes to how we feel about ourselves.

Not everyone looks like a photoshopped A-lister. But honestly, that’s not realistic, and it’s definitely not the goal. Confidence doesn’t come from trying to look like someone else. It comes from embracing your own features and finding ways to enhance what you already have.

Below Barbie’s Beauty Bits shares some simple ways to boost your confidence by focusing on your style, self-care, and mindset.

Define Your Signature Look To Feel Confidence

Before you can truly refine your signature look, it helps to think about what makes you feel beautiful. When you look good, you feel good, and that confidence becomes part of your style.

Whether you lean toward urban chic, classic elegance, or something more laid-back, finding your signature look gives you a direction to build from. Once you identify it, you’ll find it much easier to put together outfits that feel authentic and flattering.

Not sure where to start? Check out our article on how to improve your personal style for tips to get you headed in the right direction.

How Dressing For Your Body Type Can Boost Confidence

Yes, you can wear whatever you want. Style is personal, and no one should dictate how you dress. But here’s the truth: dressing to flatter your shape doesn’t limit your expression; it enhances it. No matter your size, you can look absolutely amazing when you choose silhouettes that highlight your best features.

If you’ve ever wondered how to dress to look slimmer, more balanced, or more polished, the answer often lies in understanding your body type and choosing clothes that complement it. When you feel great in what you’re wearing, it shows.

Take Care Of The Essentials

You can pile on designer boots and sparkly accessories, but if the basics aren’t in check, they won’t carry your look very far. When it comes to beauty confidence, the real game changers are your teeth, skin, and hair. When those three are on point, everything else easily falls into place.

Let’s break it down:

Your Teeth: If your smile could use a boost, dental aligners, and whitening products can make a big difference.

Your Hair:
When it comes to your hair, don’t underestimate the power of human hair clip-in extensions! They are not just for adding length or volume; you can also use them to create dimension, experiment with new colors, or achieve temporary highlights without commitment or damage.

Your Skincare Routine: Now, let’s talk skincare. Have you ever put on makeup only to have it crease, cake, or settle into fine lines? Your makeup isn’t the problem; it’s your skin prep.

Dead skin clings to makeup, creating texture and exaggerating every little flaw. That’s why exfoliation is key to perfect makeup. Clear away that buildup, and you’ll be amazed at how much better your makeup applies (and how much less you’ll need).

Fitness Activities

Making fitness and wellness a part of your life can have an impact that stretches far beyond your appearance. It’s good for confidence in a general sense. However, it also gives your appearance a noticeable boost. It’s just a fact that going to the gym, practicing yoga, and incorporating movement into your everyday life can tone your body, improve skin, and enhance posture, all of which help you look and feel your best.

And if traditional workouts aren’t your thing, don’t worry. Fitness can be fun, too. Tools like the Infinity Hoop are a great way to get your body moving while enjoying it. This weighted hula hoop not only targets your core and waistline but using it for just 30 minutes can burn about the same number of calories as a 45-minute brisk walk. It’s a fun, low-impact way to tone up and feel good doing it.

Positive Mindset

Finally, remember that your mind can be your friend or your enemy. It all depends on how you speak to it. No one has the perfect appearance, so don’t focus on the parts of yourself that you don’t like. Focus on the good parts!

If you find yourself being critical of how you look (or, indeed, critical of anything about yourself at all), then take a step back and switch to a more positive way of thinking.

In Summary
Confidence isn’t about chasing perfection. It’s about enhancing what you already have and owning it. With the right mindset, a few beauty basics, and some style and wellness habits that make you feel good, you’ll be well on your way to looking and feeling your best every day.

Buat kalian yang addicted sama k-beauty, pasti udah ga asing dong sama masker dari Hello Skin ? Aku awalnya kaget sih pas tau kalo masker ini tuh lagi hype banget di Korea. Kebetulan masker ini aku ngga beli, tapi dapet gift dari salah satu e-commerce Korea. (harganya sekitar 20ribu – 35ribu)

Jujur pas mau review produk ini pertama kali aku rada bingung. Masalahnya hampir semua tulisan di sheet mask ini pake huruf Hangeul (kecuali ingredients). Bahkan nama maskernya pun ditulis pake huruf hangeul 주미소 (dibaca : JUMISO) yang artinya “smile”.

Winter Skincare | LANEIGE Firming Sleeping Mask Review

by Lina Clémence May 29, 2025
written by Lina Clémence

The past few months have gone by quickly — a blur of work, Netflix binges, and frozen cauliflower-crust pizzas. My skincare routine has taken a hit, and I’ve been trying to get my skin’s moisture back to its healthy pre-hibernation levels. There have been nourishing oils, hydrating serums and rich moisturizers on heavy rotation, but I find myself going back to the LANEIGE Firming Sleeping Mask* ($39) over and over again. And kind of…unsure about it? Now that I’ve almost gone through the entire jar (and lost the little scoop it came with), it’s time to decide if I’ll repurchase this overnight treatment or move on to something new.

LANEIGE Firming Sleeping Mask texture

LANEIGE Firming Sleeping Mask Review

I love overnight treatments. They are a lazy girl’s best friends, especially in winter. A good one can give dull skin its glow back in less than eight hours. The LANEIGE Firming Sleeping Mask is great for those evenings when all you want to do is take your makeup off with a wipe and go to bed. It works hard while you sleep, and you wake up with plump, hydrated skin.

The LANEIGE Firming Sleeping Mask has a really unique texture. If the Water Sleeping Mask (reviewed here) is a gel, the Firming Sleeping Mask is a jelly. When the product is scooped up from the jar, the surface gets chunky and then smooths itself out in seconds…like magic. It’s cold and slippery, which doesn’t sound great, but a little goes a long way and it feels like water on the skin once it warms up. It dries down quickly and without leaving a greasy film behind. My skin soaks it up so quickly, there’s nothing left to rinse off by morning.

LANEIGE Firming Sleeping Mask texture

This is a good mask layering with oils and serums for extra nourishment and hydration as it’s not quite as hydrating as others I’ve tried all by itself. I especially love using it with the fragrance-free Crambé oil I’ve been testing recently as it lets the beautiful scent of the LANEIGE Firming Sleeping Mask shine. It’s lightly fragranced with the same Sleepscent that is found in the Water Sleeping Mask — a relaxing and (hopefully) sleep-inducing blend of ylang-ylang, rose, sandalwood oil and orange flower. My skin is very sensitive to fragrances, but this one has never been a problem for me. Be sure to do a patch test if you have reactive skin!

Unlike the Water Sleeping Mask, which is all about hydration, the Firming Sleeping Mask is  — you guessed it! — all about firming and tightening the skin. As I get older, I definitely notice that my skin is losing some of its firmness and elasticity, especially when I’m dehydrated. I haven’t noticed any changes in my skin’s firmness or elasticity while using this mask, but I do like how plump and hydrated my skin is in the morning. I find that I miss the extra hydration from the Water Sleeping Mask formula, though someone who worries about the first signs of aging might prefer to trade some hydration for a little firming action.

LANEIGE Firming Sleeping Mask

TL;DR?

The Water Sleeping Mask is still my favourite overnight treatment from LANEIGE. It’s mostly down to the fact that I prefer the gel-like texture of the Water Sleeping Mask over a slightly chunky jelly texture of the Firming Sleeping Mask, but also because the first is more hydrating. The Water Sleeping Mask’s packaging is sleeker…and yes, I do pick products partly based on how they look on my dressing table when they’re a little more pricey. If firmness and elasticity are your main concerns, the Firming Sleeping Mask is a good option to target both signs of aging and hydration. For now, I’ll stick to the Water range…while I still can.

Get Ready With Me (Again) – A Full Makeup Tutorial! – All Things Aesthetic

by Lina Clémence May 29, 2025
written by Lina Clémence

Hi everyone, and welcome to this week’s blog! And what a rubbish week we are having with the weather, although I’m not sure what I prefer; is it better for the weather to be bad when we are stuck indoors anyway, or is the sunshine uplifting in difficult times? I think my mixed views display how neither situation is exactly ideal, however there are things we can do to try and make how we are feeling slightly better. At the moment, I am loving having a daily pamper, reading more books, watching rubbish on Netflix, going on walks, and doing home workouts. I’ve also decided to do my makeup a couple of times a week to keep me feeling human, which you will know if you read my post a couple of weeks ago on my BeautyBay haul! I’ve not actually done a full makeup tutorial for you guys since December though (check it out here), and some products I use have changed since then, so why not do a big makeup post?! Here is a nice little before picture if you guys need a laugh (I know I do)!

I’ve just noticed I am so pale I would probably disappear into my wall if it was white…

Aaaaand here is a meme to summarise how I am feeling about the above picture…

Wow, I also LOVE the caption of this pin haha! Well, at least I am funny sometimes I hope…Anyway, time to stop rambling. Here’s the tutorial!

Step 1 – Prime

So this is a pretty easy step, although for some reason I didn’t actually take a before and after picture. Here is the order in which I apply the products:
1) Dr Everyouth Vitamin C and Hyaluronic Acid Day Moisturiser – £13.99 on gogroupie.
2) The Ordinary High Adherence Silicone Primer – £3.95 from BeautyBay.
3) RCMA No-Color Powder – £11.75 from BeautyBay.
4) Morphe Continuous Setting Mist – £16 from Cult Beauty.

So, I am absolutely IN LOVE with this prime routine. I’ve always moisturised and then applied primer, but I would highly recommend setting your primer with a translucent powder and setting spray – you will notice a huge difference when it comes to the durability of your makeup and it goes on soooo much better.

Step 2 – Brows

The products used here are my all time faves:
1) Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in shade Soft Brown – £19 from Cult Beauty.
2) ZOEVA Graphic Brow Fix in shade Ammos – £9 from Beauty Bay.
3) Morphe Liquid Full Coverage Concealer in shade C1.35 – £10 from Cult Beauty

  • STEP 1 – Use a flat angled brush to apply the dipbrow pomade.
  • STEP 2 – Brush on the brow gel in fine strokes.
  • STEP 3 – Apply concealer around the brow and brush down onto the lid to act as a primer.

As my hair is blonde (despite the awful roots I have right now due to being unable to visit a hairdressers) I don’t go too dark with my brows. However, more shades are available in the products I recommend depending on what kind of colour you go for. While £19 is a bit expensive for a brow gel (I may have cried at the time of purchasing), it has lasted for 2 years and I am still no where close to finishing so I think we can view this as an investment.

Step 3 – Eyes

Right, I had to improvise pretty hard here as I don’t have a lot of makeup with me. As mentioned above, I used concealer to prime my lids, and then I used a bronzer and highlighter to create a natural bronze look which I love for the daytime. Here are the products:
1) Doll Beauty Gimme Sun Matte Bronzer in shade Medium – £15 from BeautyBay.
2) MUA Undress Your Skin Highlighter in shade Golden Scintillation – £2.99 from Luxplus.
3) Unicorn Cosmetics Lashes in style Peachy Pie – £10 from BeautyBay.

  • STEP 1 – Use a fluffy brush to buff the bronzer across your lid.
  • STEP 3 – Gently press the highlighter into the mid-to-corner of the lid.
  • STEP 4 – Once the lash glue is tacky, apply and hold for 20 seconds to ensure it stays on.

Now, this is definitely not the most dramatic eyeshadow look I’ve done but this is my go to for a more natural, glowy, daytime look, and I often use highlighters and bronzers as eyeshadows too which makes them an even better investment. While the lashes are £10, they are reusable which means that these are also an investment and they work out cheaper than less expensive lash brands as they last longer.

Step 4 – Base

Here we have two of my favourite ever makeup products for base makeup, and I would highly recommend you purchase ASAP! I’ve tried a lot of brands, but I’ve never found a foundation or concealer as enduring as these two. The products are:
1) EX1 Cosmetics Invisiwear Liquid Foundation in shade 3.5 – £12.50 from BeautyBay.
2) Maybelline Instant Anti-Age Multi-Use Concealer in shade Neutraliser – £8.99 from Superdrug.

  • STEP 1 – Apply the foundation using a flat topped foundation brush (I would say BH Cosmetics are the best).
  • STEP 2 – Apply concealer under the eyes, the forehead, the nose and chin.
  • STEP 3 – Use a small contour brush to blend.

These are really great products which are priced well too! My foundation is a little too dark for me right now though, but that’s purely because I am not fake tanning at the moment! If you want to find the perfect shade in the foundation/concealer, take a look on Findation to get your match based on the shades you use in your current products.

Step 5 – Contour

Time to sculpt my face into something slightly more appealing. Some of the products here can definitely be replaced with cheaper alternatives, but again, I’m limited with the products I have to hand. Products used here are:
1) Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder – £32 from Look Fantastic. A cheaper alternative which is *almost* as good is Morphe’s Bake and Set Powder in shade Banana for £12 from Cult Beauty.
2) EX1 Invisiwear Compact Powder in shade 11 – £11.50 from BeautyBay.
3) Mac Studiofix Powder Plus Foundation in shade C35 – £27 from MAC. However, you can get much cheaper pressed powders which do the job – EX1 do many shades on BeautyBay, and you can buy the Revolution Pressed Powder for £2 from Superdrug.

  • STEP 1 – Use a beauty blender to apply the baking powder under the eyes, the nose, forehead and cheeks.
  • STEP 2 – Use a sculpting brush to apply bronzer to the cheeks, sides of the nose (can use a finer brush for that step) and forehead.
  • STEP 3 – Gently press a flat foundation brush into pressed powder and dust off the translucent powder.

As you can see, I am starting to look slightly more human now! Contouring can be quite tricky, so I am fairly basic with my method so as not to overdo it. That being said, I’m happy with the result!

Step 6 – Highlight

As you can see, I sat on this palette and smashed the mirror…

This product is my new favourite highlighter! The BeautyBay Brilliance Bouncy Beam palette is £12 from BeautyBay. I used ‘Radiant’ for contouring the corners of my cheeks, ‘Strobe’ for the corner of my eyes and under my brows and a mix of ‘Charmed’ and ‘Shine Bright’ for contouring my nose, cheekbones and upper lip. Here’s the result! I apply setting spray to my brush before application for the best results.

Step 7 – Lips

Right, I am sure if you’re a regular here you will know that I just ADORE a nude lip! I know I need to branch out, and I will try to do so, but as this is a daytime look I had to go for a natural nude colour. The products used were:
1) Milani Colour Statement Lipliner in shade Nude – £6.50 from BeautyBay.
2) Doll Beauty Lipstick in shade Golden Girl – £13 from BeautyBay.
3) Doll Beauty Lipgloss in shade #Gobby – £13 from BeautyBay.

  • STEP 1 – Apply the lipliner around the lip and blend inwards towards the center of the lip.
  • STEP 2 – Apply the lipstick and blot with tissue.
  • STEP 3 – Run a thin layer of lipgloss across the top.

I absolutely love these colours together as they create a really cute pinky nude that’s both glossy and natural! The lipstick is also nice and creamy which I like, as matte lipsticks can really dry my lips out. The durability of the lipliner is fabulous too, and I love the pinker tone of the gloss – the perfect nude!

Now to set again with setting spray and I am FINISHED! Here is the end result!

  • BEFORE
  • AFTER
I am pretty impressed with this glow up!

Doing my makeup, taking some selfies and going on nice long walk really calmed me down the other day when I was having a bit of a meltdown, and I would strongly advise you all to find something which has the same effect as it genuinely works. Here are some cute pictures I took on my walk…

PHEW – that’s the longest post I’ve done in a while, but I really enjoyed it and I hope some of like the products I have recommended. In the meantime, remember to contact me and/or leave a comment with any anxieties/recommendations or even if you just fancy a chat – my ears are open. Wishing you all a wonderful week!

Stay safe xxxx

I love them so much I can actually get away without eye makeup but just a good blush and lipstick!  Ever since reviewing a lot of Blush and seeing my before and after application, I always perk up after every single  blush application!  Thus, I am leaning towards to it every single morning for a quick pick-me-upper!

And just when I thought I’ve seen it all!  I chanced upon Kate Tokyo’s Newest Limited Edition Transform Cheeks Blush that comes in cream format.

Top: EX-1 and Bottom: EX-2

Kate Tokyo says —

This versatile palette offers stunning shades that blend effortlessly, enhancing your natural beauty for any occasion. Perfect for all skin tones.

Swatches: Top: EX-2  Bottom: EX-1

Based from Cheek Swatches alone, I favors EX-1 the most because it appears purplish on me and I am biased to Purple Cheek Color.  Though on pan it has a swirly green and blue cream color shades, the after effect on my medium, warm tone skin is medium lilac color.  It does have a subtle glowing effect and very natural flush.

EX-2 on the other hand is orange on pan with specks of light brown color.  Once applied on cheeks, it appears yellow and more like a subtle bronzer color minus the shimmers.  It has lesser glowing effect as EX-1 and I call this color to be perfect for the summer season or when I am opting for a healthy summer-glow makeup look.

Here’s side by side comparison on how both blushes look on me.

Both products are limited edition until supplies last.

Priced locally at Php900.00 (approx USD46.42 each) available ONLINE

 Keep smilin’
Stay happy!
