This post is going to be regularly updated as we discover more great new parent gift ideas for babies and parents, so make sure to check back often!
I’ve maybe mentioned it a few times now but my sister-in-law is pregnant! When it’s the first baby in the family, there’s a lot to learn, and fast. Between all of us, I think we’ve watched every TikTok under the sun, Googled everything you possibly could, and asked every parent we know what they’d actually recommend. That’s how this list of new parent gift ideas for babies & parents came about, a mix of excitement, research, and genuine thought about what would make life easier or more joyful for the new parents, and their new little human.
If you have any suggestions or recommendations, we would absolutely love to hear them!
New Parent Gift Ideas For Babies & Parents
Instant Pot Plus 5.7L Multi-Cooker – £149.99
An absolute game changer for anyone but especially with a newborn. When your hands are full and your brain is running on two hours of sleep, dinner shouldn’t be another stress. The Instant Pot makes batch cooking and quick meals genuinely effortless.
One thing that everyone has said is about helping with food, so we’re planning to do a little pot swap system with ours and theirs so we can batch cook and drop meals off fresh without needing to stay and cook. It’s brilliant for purees, stews, or even just quick rice when time is tight.
It even sterilises bottles and dummies, so it’s basically doing it all. It makes a genuinely helpful gift that supports new parents through those hectic early days.
Why it’s great:
- 9 functions in one: Pressure Cook, Slow Cook, Sauté, Steam, Warm, Rice, Yoghurt, Sous Vide, and Sterilise
- App-controlled, so you can start dinner from anywhere
- Cooks full meals in minutes
- Dishwasher-safe parts for easy cleanup
- Can also sterilise baby bottles and dummies
Pai Skincare – The Gemini™ Stretch Mark System – £49.00
This one’s for mum. Anything I’ve ever tried from Pai has been gorgeous. This two park system is fragrance free, super gentle, and packed with skin loving ingredients to help with stretching and recovery.
If you’re looking for a gift that feels personal and thoughtful but still genuinely useful, this is a lovely pick. Everyone always recommends getting gifts that are just for the mum, as so many only buy things for the baby.
Vital Baby – Breast Like Starter Set – £29.99
A really practical and lovely gift. This set is great for new parents figuring out how feeding is going to work for them, whether it’s bottle, breast, or a mix. The anti colic design and self sterilising function just take a little pressure off, especially when you’re sleep deprived and running on instincts. Plus from all my research, Vital Baby keeps popping up as a brand lots of mum’s love.
Why it’s great:
- Triple anti-colic valves to help reduce air intake
- Self-sterilising bottles, ready in 3 minutes in the microwave
- Teat moves and flexes just like mum’s nipple
- Ideal for combination feeding
- Includes non-scratch bottle brush, teat brush, and airflow soother
- BPA, Latex & Phthalate free
- Made from EarthSmart® materials that biodegrade without microplastic

Yoto Player 3rd Generation – £89.99 + Yoto Adventure Jacket – £24.99
The Yoto Player is one of those clever little gadgets that parents and kids fall in love with. It’s a screen-free audio player designed specifically for children, offering stories, music, and educational content in a safe, independent way. Kids simply insert physical cards to start playing content, which makes it tactile and engaging without the distractions of a screen. It’s brilliant for quiet time, road trips, bedtime routines, or even just giving parents ten minutes’ peace.
You might think it’s too early for a newborn, but there’s actually plenty of benefits from day one. The Yoto can play calming white noise, lullabies, or classical music to help settle them into sleep or soothe them during fussy spells. There are even blank cards so you can record your own stories in your voice to play, how flipping adorable is that?
This might be our favourite pick. Me and my brother have been learning Spanish for a while now (badly) and we often speak in Spanish to each other just for fun. We’re both really excited about getting the Spanish cards for this so the baby can learn from day one, babies pick up languages so fast, maybe they’ll be able to teach us in a few years!

Your Baby Club – FREE First Baby Box (£11.99 shipping)
I’ll be doing a full blog post on Your Baby Club as I’m working with them on Tiktok to unbox their monthly subscription box. I actually didn’t know it was a subscription box too, I just bought it as a gift to my SIL so this is really exciting.
The monthly price is £23.99 and it always contains over £70 worth of items!
Baby Nursery
Depending on your budget you might want to help out with the cost of big things, like the baby Nursery. I’ve got a whole blog on the nursery so far with the most gorgeous Ickle Bubba furniture from Bedkingdom and now we’ve just added these beautiful curtains from Terry’s. They’re the Paoletti Corinthian Velvet Ready Made Eyelet Curtains and they finish of the room so perfectly!
Bona Pet System™ Premium Pet Microfiber Mop – £25.99
Not the most traditional baby gift, but hear me out. This mop is incredible, especially if you’ve got pets and a baby on the way. It’s super lightweight, the head is long and slim which means it gets right under couches, cabinets, and those awkward spots where baby fingers will absolutely end up. We’ve been using it with the Bona Wood Floor Deep Cleaner and honestly? Our floors have never looked better.
The mop comes with two different microfiber pads designed for pet messes, and the OxyPower pad is particularly brilliant. The whole thing just feels really well made and easy to use. When my nephew arrives, this is going to be a total game changer for quick tidy-ups. I’m genuinely impressed, we’re sticking with this one for the long run.
Kyte Baby Sleep Bag Swaddler – £63
This is genuinely the softest material I’ve ever touched. Like, why don’t they make these for grown-ups? Made from Kyte Baby’s signature bamboo rayon, this sleep bag swaddler is a two-in-one dream, you’ve got a super soft and snug swaddle wrap for those early days, and underneath is their award-winning sleep bag which can be used on its own once baby no longer needs to be swaddled.
It’s so beautifully made, the quality really stands out. This would make such a gorgeous gift, thoughtful, practical, and something they’ll use every single day.
Love to Dream Sleep Machine – £39.99
This is the kind of gadget that really excites me! The Love to Dream Sleep Machine is so much more than just white noise. It’s got cry detection, a personalised voice recorder (yes, you can literally record your own voice to soothe your baby back to sleep), Bluetooth for playing your own audio, and a gentle nightlight built in. It even uses recycled plastic, which is a nice eco-touch.
Love to Dream Swaddle Up™ – £22.39
If you’ve not seen the Swaddle Up™ before, it looks like a tiny baby superhero suit, arms up and ready to save the day (and night). The arms-up position is brilliant for self-soothing and it means less of those startle reflex wake-ups.
It’s comfy, safe, easy to zip on and off, and no loose bits that baby can kick off in the night. This has won awards and for good reason, it’s genuinely made a difference for loads of families.
Childs Farm Products
All my phone now is baby things and I’ve seen so many people buying and praising Childs Farm, so we knew we had to go with them for baby toiletries.
Their products are gentle, dermatologically tested, and smell lovely without being overpowering. The packaging is super cute, and everything feels considered. A great pick for building a little baby care hamper or even just adding to a bigger gift.
Nuby RapidCool – £39.99
This is one of those clever little devices that until you start researching all things baby, you won’t actually understand how clever it is. After watching 500 videos on them, I’m impressed. The Nuby RapidCool brings boiling water down to the perfect formula feeding temperature in two minutes. No faffing about with cold-water baths or worrying whether a feed is too hot.
It’s portable, requires no power, and fits neatly into most nappy bags. You just fill it, shake it, wait for the light to turn green, and you’re good to go. A lifesaver for night feeds, travel, or when you’re out and about. It’s also designed to meet NHS guidelines, which really helps give that extra peace of mind.
If the parents plan to formula feed, this is a proper standout gift.
Luna Daily Products
Luna Daily makes some incredible products for new mums, and they’re a brilliant brand to support too. We’ve got a few bits here including the Mini Post-Birth Soothing Spray, Skin Support Oil, Everywhere Wash, Repair Treatment, and the Perineal Oil.
The formulas are gentle, supportive, and designed specifically for sensitive skin, perfect for the post-birth period. These make gorgeous gifts that feel thoughtful and nurturing. You could pop together a little postpartum care kit with a few of these, and it would definitely be appreciated.
Frida Mom & Frida Baby Must-Haves
Honestly, Frida just gets it. Their products are so well thought out and genuinely useful. Here we have got the Delivery and Nursing Gown, Witch Hazel Foam, Witch Hazel Pad Liners, Disposable C-Section Postpartum Underwear, and the Peri Bottle. I mean, that’s my SIL’s hospital bag ready!
There’s also essentials like NoseFrida and Windi the Gaspasser.
These aren’t the glamorous gifts, but they’re the ones new mums remember. Frida products are made with practicality and recovery in mind. If you’re looking to give something that actually helps during those tough early weeks, this range has you covered.
Rosa & Blue Safari Baby Blanket – £30.00
The baby’s nursery has ended up with a bit of a subtle safari theme, which makes us all laugh considering my brother and sister-in-law actually have been on an African safari (and mention it a lot!)
This baby blanket is soft, cosy, and the safari print is sweet without being too loud or overly cutesy. It’s one of those lovely in-between pieces that works just as well for tummy time on the floor as it does for naptime cuddles or pram snuggles.
It’s also the kind of thing that looks great draped over the side of a cot or nursery chair, adding that little touch of personality.
Elodie Portable Baby Nest – £129.00
This is such a beautiful and practical gift for those precious first few months. The Elodie Baby Nest creates a cosy little cocoon to lift the baby from one area to another. Following sleep safe guidelines you shouldn’t leave the baby to sleep on a soft surface and these should only be used for supervised awake periods.
