CHANEL Fall-Winter 2025/26 Haute Couture in Paris

by Lina Clémence July 27, 2025
written by Lina Clémence

Reading Time: 8 minutes

Paris Haute Couture Week 2025 took place from July 7 to 10, bringing together over 80 fashion houses and attracting approximately 600 professionals to the Grand Palais and Musée des Arts Décoratifs. The week has generated an estimated 30 million euros in global media coverage so far and cemented itself once more as the unrivalled stage for artisanal mastery and visionary design. Among its most anticipated events, the CHANEL Fall-Winter 2025/26 Haute Couture show dazzled on 8 July in a setting meticulously recreated to evoke the legendary 31 rue Cambon, the heart of Gabrielle Chanel’s couture empire.

In an atmosphere of hushed reverence, the Salon d’Honneur blossomed into a poetic reinterpretation of Chanel’s original salons, mirrored staircases, natural tones and poetic flourishes evoking wheat stalks that symbolise abundance. It was a collection that paid homage to heritage without sacrilege, guided by the studio team as Matthieu Blazy prepares to take the creative helm later this year. The result was both a love letter to tradition and a graceful bridge to the future of couture.

CHANEL Fall-Winter 2025/26: Themes and Creative Vision

The central theme of the CHANEL Fall-Winter 2025/26 Haute Couture show was a tender, lyrical reimagining of 31 rue Cambon itself. The set design, complete with mirrored staircases and pale natural tones such as ivory, ecru, brown, green and black, recalled Gabrielle Chanel’s original haute couture salons and her unwavering devotion to simplicity and refinement. Decorative wheat stalk motifs threaded through the collection, echoing Chanel’s historic symbols of prosperity, reinterpreted as delicate jewellery buttons and intricate embroidery that showcased the ateliers’ extraordinary needlework.

The CHANEL Fall-Winter 2025/26 collection’s atmosphere was one of serene sophistication. Translucent layers of illusion tulle and trompe l’oeil tweeds created the illusion of weightlessness, as did the signature single pearl heels described by Chanel’s official lookbook. The palette was grounded yet luminous: creams and ivories contrasted elegantly with deep blacks, punctuated by metallic accents and whispering trails of gold and bronze thread. Together, they evoked a sense of quiet grandeur, a soft portrait of modern couture.

While this marks the last fully studio-designed collection before Matthieu Blazy assumes the role of creative director in October, the show is far from retrospective. It stands as a summation and a promise. The design house, under its current team, has asserted its mastery of craftsmanship, proportion, and narrative in this CHANEL Fall-Winter 2025/26 collection. It is a couture statement rooted in the past yet pointed firmly at tomorrow. As star power filled the first rows, models floated in poetic reverence of Chanel’s codes, timeless pieces reinvented with modern sensitivity.

CHANEL Fall-Winter 2025/26: Best Looks and Exquisite Details

The standout looks combined technical finesse with poetic storytelling. One remarkable creation featured tiers of illusion tulle overlaid with subtle wheat stalk embroidery. The skirt’s volume floated around the model as if caught in a gentle breeze, complementing a fitted tweed bodice trimmed in pearl-encrusted buttons, a couture embodiment of Chanel’s emblematic symbols. This pairing of soft and structured elements anchored the collection in craftsmanship and narrative.

Metallic tweed ensembles shimmered under the Grand Palais lights. One two-piece suit in bronze woven tweed combined a cropped jacket with wide culottes, accentuated by oversized bows at the neck and waist. A model’s dramatic, bow-adorned satin halterneck gown in deep midnight black and ivory exuded a formal yet fluid elegance that captured attention, especially as it contrasted with the minimalist accessories on the front row.

Colours balanced the neutral tones with moments of surprise. Soft green tweeds evoked the Parisian gardens outside, applied to coats edged with wheat-stalk embroidery. In contrast, jet-black gowns were accented with metallic fringes or illusion sequins that caught every camera flash. One particularly memorable look was a crystal-spangled white minidress in layers of ruffles and rhinestones, which Gracie Abrams then wore in the front row, emphasising the collection’s versatility and star appeal.

In the CHANEL Fall-Winter 2025/26 collection, accessories were given equal consideration. Heels crafted from single oversized pearls brought sculptural elegance, while pearl and wheat stalk jewellery echoed the thematic embroidery. Even gowns with illusion transparency included embroidered crops of wheat stalk motifs, transforming the dresses into living landscapes. The result: looks that were visually stunning and intellectually layered, speaking to the couture connoisseur’s heart.

What to think about the show?

In my view, the CHANEL Fall-Winter 2025/26 haute couture presentation was a triumph of poetic restraint and artisanal brilliance. It refrained from shock or spectacle and succeeded through nuance, through an unwavering commitment to narrative and craft. As an expert, I appreciated how every stitch was loaded with meaning, with wheat stalks symbolising abundance, mirrored staircases evoking Gabrielle’s world, and a palette that felt at once grounded and ethereal.

This was couture as an immersive experience rather than a fleeting moment. It felt literary and cinematic. I was especially moved by how the collection expressed continuity: it honoured Chanel’s legacy without ever feeling antiquated. Instead, it felt alive, subtly powerful, quietly bold. The artistry of the tweeds, the whispered shimmer of illusion tulle, the sculptural gravity of pearl heels all spoke of an atelier at its highest level.

For fashion experts and lovers alike, the CHANEL Fall-Winter 2025/26 was couture that did not need shouting. It spoke in soft voices and stayed with you long after the show ended. The CHANEL Fall/Winter 2025/26 collection will be studied not just for its beauty, but for the depth of its storytelling. It sets a refined standard for what couture can and should be.

A‑List Front‑Row: The Stars at Chanel Fall-Winter 2025/26

Paris fashion insiders weren’t surprised to see a galaxy of talent at the CHANEL Fall Winter 2025/26 Haute Couture show. The front row dazzled with a mix of timeless icons and contemporary influencers, all celebrating Chanel’s creative mastery and narrative elegance.

  • Naomi Campbell appeared in a classic tweed two‑piece, her legendary presence reaffirming her enduring bond with the House  .
  • Penélope Cruz glowed in a glittering two‑piece, bringing both glamour and gravitas to the Salon d’Honneur.
  • Keira Knightley, accompanied by her husband James Righton, wore a dramatic tiered halterneck gown that radiated subtle sophistication.
  • Kirsten Dunst opted for a vintage‑style jumpsuit—sharp and effortless, embodying modern French nonchalance.
  • Gracie Abrams, a rising Chanel ambassador, stole hearts in a crystal‑embellished little white dress, proving couture can still pivot towards youthful freshness.
  • Lorde brought her signature mystique in a sleek black dress with embellished heels, reinforcing her avant‑garde indie cool.
  • Marion Cotillard added a breath of colour in sky‑blue tweed — a refreshing contrast in the predominantly neutral palette.
  • Sofia Coppola, accompanied by her daughters Romy and Cosima, made the outing a stylish family affair, blending heritage with contemporary youth.
  • Other notable guests included Laufey, Wang Yibo, Xin Zhilei, and Christine Alexandra Chiu, each bringing a global flair to Chanel’s Parisian stage.

This constellation of celebrities exemplifies Chanel’s unparalleled fusion of global appeal and artisanal prestige. From iconic muses to fresh voices, each guest brought a personal style that reflected the show’s poetic sophistication, narrative depth, and universal allure. Listen below to the Haute Couture Conversations, a series produced by Chanel, and featuring Sofia Coppola discussing her long-standing connection with the House. The clip explores her personal history with Chanel, beginning with her first internship at 31 rue Cambon when she was just 15, and leads into her reflections on haute couture and the legacy of Chanel craftsmanship. It offers an intimate insider perspective on the emotional and creative significance of the Fall‑Winter  2025/26 couture season.

Last final words…

The CHANEL Fall-Winter 2025/26 Haute Couture show felt like a gentle revolution, rooted in heritage yet quietly radical. Its dedication to the craftsmanship of 31 rue Cambon, expressed through wheat stalk motifs in embroidery and jewellery buttons, spoke to Chanel’s enduring symbols of abundance. The palettes and textures created a spectrum of emotions, ranging from grounding earth tones to striking metallics and rich blacks. This was couture that spoke the language of emotional intelligence and finely tuned taste.

Every detail of the CHANEL Fall-Winter 2025/26, from single pearl heels to trompe l’oeil tweeds, whispered of ateliers confident in their mastery. There were no theatrics, no overly literal gestures. Instead, there was atmosphere and soul. Each look functioned as a line in an ongoing narrative, a quietly insistent statement of elegance and evolution. The show felt like a final kiss of farewell from the current creative team, and also a promise of what lies ahead under Matthieu Blazy’s leadership from October.

For the audience of industry insiders, designers and luxury aficionados, the CHANEL Fall-Winter 2025/26 was a masterclass. It reminded us that couture’s power lies not in excess but in resonance, in small revelations, in craftsmanship that transcends seasons. The CHANEL Fall-Winter 2025/26 collection is destined to become part of Chanel’s living archive, a model of how fine tradition and soft modernity can speak volumes.

In the ever-shifting landscape of fashion, the Chanel house has reaffirmed its centrality. Its impact will ripple through future collections and serve as a reference point. Like an old friend wearing something quietly extraordinary, it reminded us why we return to Chanel time and again. Timeless does not mean static, and in this case, it means inspired.

The iconic Chanel slingback heels just got a sexy new heel height

by Lina Clémence July 21, 2025
written by Lina Clémence

Last Updated on July 19, 2025 by Eve Dawes

The new Chanel slingback heels that were just released for 2025 with their higher 3.5″ block heel finally had me handing over my credit card. I’ve always loved these classic two-tone women’s Chanel shoes but the original heel height did my petite 5’1″ frame no favors! Here’s why I’ve fallen in love with the new 2025 version of Chanel slingback heels, the similarities, differences and everything you need to know if you’re considering buying these women’s Chanel black toe cap heels.

New height, same icon: Chanel’s slingbacks are turning up the heat

Chanel’s legendary two-tone slingbacks just got a sleek new silhouette with a slightly higher heel but the same timeless elegance. This reimagined classic for 2025 bridges heritage and those of us who want a higher heel. Whether you’re styling these Chanel block heels with denim or a little black dress, the updated shape adds just enough edge to make a statement without sacrificing that effortless Parisian polish. It’s a subtle shift that makes a big difference to these women’s Chanel shoes.

New 2025 Chanel slingback heels review

I’ve always loved the look of Chanel slingback heels on other people but they always looked so frumpy on me. The new heel height is only 1″ higher but it makes such a difference.

Chanel slingback heels try on and review

People have mixed reviews as to whether Chanel slingback heels are comfortable or not. If you normally struggle to keep slingbacks on (e.g. the back strap falls off), you’re probably going to still have the same issue with these. The backs are elasticated but they’re not adjustable. So definitely try them on in store and make sure that back straps not going to fall off.

Personally I’d still class them as a comfortable block heel that’s great for city breaks, lunch or dinner. I trekked all around Saint-Tropez marina in them for a couple of nights in a row. I just don’t know how much walking I actually want to do in them. Not because of comfort but because at this price point I want to wear them but I don’t want to wear them out.

Do I think they’re worth the price? They’re women’s Chanel shoes, I wouldn’t expect them to cost any less. Can you get more affordable Chanel slingback dupes, absolutely but nothing beats the feeling of slipping into Chanel.

Do Chanel slingback heels run true to size

I find they run true to size and bought my regular size in these Chanel block heels.

What’s the difference between the original and the 2025 Chanel slingback heels

Both two-tone beige and black cap toes are made from goatskin leather and grosgrain. There are other material and color options like tweed and black on black but the two tone Chanel heels with black toes are the most classic.

The only differences are:

  • The heel height : Original 2.6″/60mm VS new 3.5″/90mm which creates a sleeker silhouette.
  • There’s only a $50 difference in price: Lower heel $1100 New higher heel $1150 + tax

How to style Chanel slingback heels

The beauty of these comfortable block heels, especially when you get them in a neutral color is that they go with so much. Don’t think that because they’re a classic that the styling has to be basic. You can make your outfit as timeless or on trend as you want.

…is this thing on? – Chardline Chanel

The Life of the Plus Size Fashion Girl

Where have you been?

So I feel like I have some explaining to do.

The last time I posted, I was celebrating my 33rd birthday. And while everything seemed to be going in a GREAT direction, I was suffering in silence. But guess what y’all?

Ya girl is back. I feel like the same plus-size fashion girl I fell in love with. I am feeling better and… you know what, let me talk about what the last year was like for me.

Exactly a year ago today, I took on a new job working for the City. I am a Black Girl in Tech, to be exact. I took on the role of the Digital Marketing Coordinator for the Department of Innovation and Technology. I honestly thought this was my dream– and don’t get me wrong, I love my colleagues, my job, and the City of Boston.

However, after joining my department’s DEIA Committee, I realized I was destined for something different. After holding leadership positions on both the Black Employee Network and Women’s ERG, taking two leadership cohorts sponsored by the City of Boston, and facilitating conversations/negotiations for the DEIA Committee, I realized that I wanted to be in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).

I’ve actually never felt so passionate about a career path. Every day I find that I advocate for DEI in my home, content creation, and work life. It’s wild but AMAZING.

In fact, I applied for a couple positions, for the City of Boston, in DEI. I wasn’t successful in landing the positions, but it actually gave me more trajectory. It gave me the fire I needed to figure out what works for me. My therapist, family, and boyfriend have been so dope in helping me navigate this carefully. This brings me to #2. BOYFRIEND.

I know, crazy! I said the B-word. In all my years of blogging, I never spoke about a boyfriend. Maybe long situationships and guys I met on the plus size fashion scene, but never really a whole committed person. I am in love y’all. A healthy, non-obsessive, and growing love. I am still trying to figure out how much I want to share about him, but here are the deets I am comfortable sharing:

  1. His name is Jamie and he was born in Kingston, Jamaica.
  2. He’s a comedian based out of Cape Cod. He’s funny on and off stage.
  3. He’s a Registered Nurse and works in Finance.
  4. I think he’s the love of my many lives. Not many secrets between us. We rarely fight and learned how to talk things out.
  5. I met him the old-fashioned way: Hinge. The same day I decided to end an on-and-off 5-year situationship, I reached out to the last person I spoke to on Hinge and he drove to Boston to meet me the same night. It’s wild.

Want to make God laugh? Tell Him your plans. Two years ago, I was resolute in the belief that I would be with someone else and eventually move to NY. God whispered, “Dream Bigger.”

Chardline with her boyfriend . They are holding hands. She is a plus size fashion blogger.

I was always hesitant to share this, but I’ve always been candid with you. This time won’t be any different. In the Summer of 2021, my hip gave out while on vacation in St. Lucia. It was pretty painful, but I tried to push through. I kept attending my gym sessions with Naldine and working on my health outcomes. Then one morning in November, I couldn’t move. I literally couldn’t get up to go to my personal training session. My doctor told me that I had to stop working and that I should start regular PT sessions to strengthen my hip.

My joints worsened. At this point, I was seeing my Primary Care Doctor, Weight and Wellness Center, Rheumatologist, and Orthopedic Doctor. I was diagnosed with a genetic arthritic condition greatly impacted by lifestyle choices (food, drinking, and working out), genetics, and weight. I was 350ish pounds. The constant running and lifting on already weakened joints were causing my body so much pain.

And to avoid a hip replacement in the next three years, WE decided that Gastric Sleeve Weight Loss Surgery would be the best route for me to safely remove the weight off my joints, drastically change my eating habits (without falling back into old habits) and put me on a path to strengthening my joints safely.

It has been 8 months since my surgery, I’ve lost 100lbs, I’ve been cleared to work out, and my health outcomes have changed. No more CPAP machine, minimal to NO pain in my knees/hips, I have so much energy, I started personal training again (and I don’t dread it), and I am FAMILY PLANNING! I am really looking at the possibility of being a mom. I can’t believe that.

I am going to dedicate a whole other post to this process and my feelings during this time. This process hasn’t been all PERFECT, but I do not regret my decision.

The Content, Sis! What About the Content?

It’s crazy that I started off as a girl who was just obsessed with plus size fashion. Now, I feel like I’ve ventured off into sharing all things Chardline. I’ve been so open on Instagram about my dating life, health journey, mental health, family, etc. Now, I am going to open up on my blog.

There are so many things I can’t wait to “journal” about on here. Truthfully, so many creators have abandoned their websites, myself included. But honestly, this is the only place where I feel my safest.

So here is two ONE POST A week. Just one for now. I am working at it and can’t wait to start my give-a-ways again!

Thanks for always rocking with me!

Until next time!

Char.

CHANEL Sublimage Purifying & Radiance Revealing Vanilla Seed Face Scrub

by Lina Clémence June 4, 2025
written by Lina Clémence

You know what I haven’t used for a really long time? A physical exfoliator. I’m also looking for a good face mask because it feels like I haven’t ‘masked’ for ages and when I go through the extensive range of products I have here, there is only one that I feel even vaguely tempted by. I think I have some on the way from a new brand so I’ll save a masking post for another time, but my exfoliator wish has been granted and I have the CHANEL Sublimage Purifying & Radiance Revealing Vanilla Seed Face Scrub.

Call me shallow, but it was a thrill to discover that the mask is black – I just wasn’t expecting it at all – but it’s because it’s so packed with vanilla seed. It turns out that vanilla is a rich source of niacin, thiamine, B6 and pantothenic acid, all of which are lovely for skin. What I’ve been craving, complexion wise, is that extra clean and smooth feel that makes everything you apply thereafter feel like the most divine liquid silk that your skin drinks up and looks utterly radiant. I’m more inclined to use an enzymatic exfoliator (I’ve got a good one to tell you about coming up) in the form of a lotion but sometimes you just want the big guns, right?

Yes, CHANEL Sublimage Purifying & Radiance Revealing Vanilla Seed Face Scrub is eye wateringly expensive, but let me tell you, it does the job. It scratches that itch (rather than your face). You can ‘scrub’ to your heart’s content because there’s no sharpness to the grains suspended in a rather skin cooling gel but I’d suggest you do a double rinse because I still found a few grains lurking after I’d removed the mask.

Sure enough, the products I used afterwards (coming up in another post) were slurped up by my skin. I usually suggest using any face mask in the morning but in this particular instance I’m going to suggest it for night time. My reasoning is that while it’s brilliant for all skin types, it’s ‘purifying’, meaning that it obliterates oil (perfect if you are oily skinned) so you need some richness to add in afterwards, and what better than a night cream. If you are generally quite oily, it’s fine to use in the morning and follow with your usual moisturiser.

CHANEL Sublimage Purifying & Radiance Revealing Vanilla Seed Face Scrub is £125 (ouch, I know) HERE.

Hi there! – Chardline Chanel

by Lina Clémence May 31, 2025
written by Lina Clémence

Wow, December 2023, huh? It feels like ages and a lifetime of change since then. Typically, I’d start with an apology for being MIA, but this past year has been all about unlearning that habit—turns out, I’ve been apologizing for simply existing, and it’s time that stopped. The horoscopes for 2024 promised all good things for someone with an 8 path number and a Scorpio like me—talk about high expectations! But let’s just say the universe had its own “lit” curriculum in mind. This year has been one heck of a teacher in disciplines I didn’t even know I needed. For instance, I’ve realized I don’t have a disciplined bone in my body. Does anyone know where I can get one?

Among the revelations, one tough pill to swallow has been my fears about motherhood. I adore my friends’ kids—I’m the cool auntie, after all—but seeing the village it takes sometimes makes me wonder, who’ll be there when I’m the one in need?

Then there’s the big move with my partner, which was supposed to be our step towards a planned future—saving, planning expenses, dreaming up our parenthood chapter. Plot twist: none of that happened. Our lives took unexpected turns; I found myself grappling with the nuances of a relationship where shared dreams started to feel more like my solo script. The financial partnership we envisioned turned into a one-woman show trying to balance the books.

But hey, life’s still lit. Despite the new guest (hello, arthritis in my ankle), losing weight has been a silver lining. I’ve gone from 366 to 239 pounds, reducing knee pressure by hundreds of pounds per step! Though, living with a body that’s drastically different is a day-by-day learning curve. Still, life insists on being lit, even when it’s heavy.

This summer was a whirlwind of slime on furniture (courtesy of my temporary squad of four under eight), camp drop-offs, and nightly routines. And amidst that chaos, we celebrated my grandfather’s 100th birthday—a beautiful milestone. Yet, life threw its curveballs with sudden goodbyes too painful to digest: my cousin Dada, vibrant and full of life, died in a tragic accident that still feels surreal. Shortly after, Tiffany Harris, an incredible influencer and beacon of strength, lost her battle with colon cancer—a reminder of my own fears as someone with severe colon issues. Then came the news about Melvin Booker, my high school confidant, who succumbed to life, leaving us way too soon.

Here I am in October 2024, riding through waves of uncertainty but surprisingly grounded. My upcoming birthday has me counting blessings like never before: a pivot in my career, improved health, mental clarity, a new puppy named Yoko, and tools that help keep my executive functioning on track. Life’s lit, and though the sadness isn’t shy, I’m navigating through a reality that’s clearer yet harder to define.

I’m learning to tune out the pessimism and noise, focusing on what fills the glass—at least to halfway. While I can’t promise more frequent updates, I want to deeply thank you for your love and support through my highs and lows. Here’s to finding more light, more clarity, and, hopefully, more reasons to celebrate. Catch you on the flip side!

To everyone reading this, searching for your own spark in the shadows—keep looking. Even on the darkest days, there’s something lit waiting to be discovered. It might be a small win, a moment of joy, or a lesson that shapes your tomorrow. Embrace it, celebrate it, and let it light your way. We’re all in this together, finding our paths, lighting up as we go. See you soon, and remember, look for the LIT in your life!
