I am the ultimate water baby. As soon as I get a chance I am living my best mermaid life 24/7. What has been wonderful about my body positive journey is my renewed love of swimwear. Before the great swimsuit revolution of 2015, I mainly wore a black swimsuit I’d had for about 15 years. And the idea of buying another filled me with dread. But now I LOVE having ALL the swimwear… All the patterns, styles, colours! And one of my very fave brands for plus size swimwear is Figleaves plus collection. I just love the vintage inspired vibes of this swimsuit. A navy polka dot with a halterneck, and a little cute ruffle. It’s also got a plunging neckline which makes it feel a little sexy, and is seriously comfortable to wear. Another swimsuit I think I’ll be wearing a lot in the future.

I love a good swimsuit. I am always pretty active in the water, so a swimsuit is a great option, particularly when jumping off boats and exploring under water. I love the draped front of this swimsuit, and the beautiful bright blue, as an alternative to the endless black swimsuits. I’m wearing a size 24, and I think I could have sized down if it wasn’t for my height (5’8)

The best thing about bikinis is the ability to do a bit of mix and matching. I loved this red bikini top from the moment I saw it. I’m a sucker for red, and I knew it would go well with some of the plain black and plain navy bikini briefs I have. I feel like this bikini is going to be with me for a long time, as it’s fab and comfy. Wearing a 22 as it’s a tie bikini so adjustable, and I think my boobs would have been swimming in a 24. As my boobs are not mega big, I can still wear a halterneck without too much trouble – as long as I have my trusty Halto.
