GRWM Cosmetics Life Proof Fixing Spray review is here! This review was a few weeks in the making because I wanted to be sure that I’ve used it for quite a while before passing a verdict as I didn’t want to publish just an unboxing or first impressions review sort of thing so here goes!
What is the GRWM Cosmetics Life Proof Fixing Spray?
According to the brand, this is a Fixing Spray that can help your makeup stay in place. Personally, I have tried using this before makeup and after makeup to lock in my brows (if I need extra help) or to nake sure my face makeup is plakado if I will be out all day. This is possible because the GRWM Life-Proof Fixing Spray contains ingredients that can help hydrate and moisturize the skin while helping powder and cream products adhere better to facial skin.

The packaging is sleek and sophisticated. A little prone to smudges but is easy to clean with makeup wipes so not a biggie for me.
I personally prefer the small bottle because it is much easier to bring anywhere. By the way, I noticed that this new release is marked MATTE so I am thinking that a DEWY version is in the works. I look forward to that since I like this one.
PERFORMANCE:
I am giving this a 4.5 out of 5 because the spray is not fine enough for me. For the product itself, this works as a primer spray and performs really well as a setting spray or fixing spray. I’ve tested during cool months so I will have to update when the weather gets warmer but so far this keeps my makeup in place for 6-8 hours which is great considering I touch my face a lot, sweat like I am working out even when I am stationary, and got an oily face.
How to use:
1. Shake the bottle first. This ensures that everything is mixed well and also improves dispersal in my opinion.
2. Hold 6-8 inches away from the face & close your eyes first. Personally, I prefer holding farther away and spray in the air before I move my face unto the spray.
3. Spray in an X and T Formation to ensure even coverage. This works well too if the above is not your style.
4. You may apply the fixing spray before and after the makeup application. Yep, I agree.
5. Let the fixing spray set for 1-2 minutes to allow the mist to sink in and lock your makeup. This step is a must so you get the most out of the product instead of getting tempted to spray again.
UPDATE MARCH 2023: I still like how the bottle for the fixing spray easily fits in kikay kits and that goes for the travel version as well as the full-size version. It took me 4 months to finish the big bottle. Performs almost as good as when it was cold. I just noticed that during hot weather the longevity is minus an hour so still sulit for me.
By the way, the scent is mild and pleasant unlike other setting sprays so that’s a plus in my book.
Portable and looks nice anywhere.
