Most people think kids join the fashion world only as models—but while modeling is a big part, it’s far from the whole picture. At Junior Style, we believe children’s fashion is about so much more than striking a pose—it’s about creativity, confidence, and giving every young person a chance to let their unique voice shine.

Their opinions matter. Their perspectives can inspire other children and even influence the way brands think about style, comfort, and inclusivity. Our community thrives because kids aren’t just in it—they’re at the very heart of it. And just because they come in smaller sizes doesn’t mean their ideas, opinions, and dreams aren’t just as big as any adult’s.

The Junior Style Awards always bring unforgettable moments, but this year one of the most inspiring highlights was our Kids Panel of Judges—a true celebration of children’s voices in the fashion world.

On July 25, just days before the winners were announced, six amazing kids: Emma, Eva, Logan, Haven, Emma and Ivanna, gathered in the heart of New York City at a secret spot carefully chosen to inspire them—stylish yet comfortable and perfectly suited for such a special event. Their mission? To share honest opinions, chat with each other, and help decide this year’s award winners.

Each young judge brought their own special perspective. Some have been modeling since infancy, others are mini bloggers alongside their moms, and some are natural-born fashionistas who live and breathe style. Together, they represented a broad spectrum of experience—and that made their insights incredibly valuable.

As the conversation unfolded, we realized something wonderful: these kids didn’t just pick favorites based on brand names or trendy looks. They talked about what makes a design truly special, how clothes can boost confidence, and how a runway show can inspire big dreams. Their ideas were thoughtful, detailed, and honest—far beyond what we expected.

Here’s what really stood out:

• Kids care a lot about comfort—how clothes feel on them matters more than you might think.

• They truly think about what they wear and choose styles that help them feel confident and happy.

• Patterns and colors catch their eyes, and they appreciate when these come together in a fresh and cool way.

• They love the stories behind fashion campaigns and understand that fashion is about more than just clothes.

• And surprisingly, they notice craftsmanship—the care behind every stitch and detail.

It felt like a grown-up fashion meeting—only these editors had milk moustaches and giggled between points!

By the end, it was clear this was more than just an event. Each young voice learned the art of listening, the confidence to share their own views, and the joy of celebrating style together. Whether or not they grow up to work in fashion, the experience has already shaped them—instilling curiosity, creativity, and self-belief. If we sparked even the tiniest flame of inspiration here, our mission is accomplished.

We stepped out of that room with full hearts, reminded that the future of fashion isn’t just in the clothes—it’s in the people who dare to dream it.
