[REVIEW] COSRX Two in One Poreless Power Liquid

by Lina Clémence August 3, 2025
written by Lina Clémence

Hi!

So I was pretty excited with some of the new releases from COSRX so I actually purchased this products right after my purchase of the second tube of the PHA cream. So it’s about two months now I guess? When it first releases, this essence sold out like everywhere until I found it on sale on Jolse so I put it into my cart right away 😀

Anyhow, let’s start with the review, shall we?

Full List of Ingredients

Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Water, Butylene Glycol,
Hydroxypropyl Cyclodextrin, Water, Pentylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol,
Betaine Salicylate, Arginine, Betaine, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil,
Allantoin, Panthenol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Carbomer,
Cassia Obtusifolia Seed Extract, Menthyl Lactate, Mentha Haplocalix
Extract **Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Water & Cassia Obtusifolia Seed
Extract contain tannin

Notable ingredients: BHA, Tannin and Menthyl Lactate.

Minimal packaging design as usual from COSRX.

Just like a lot of COSRX products, this also came in this pump tube.

 Pretty runny right?

I would say that this has the essence texture, which is easily absorb into the skin. I uses this as the second step in my skincare routine because it is quite runny and would absorb better in fresh skin more than on top of other skincares.

It does feel cool once I applied the essence on and I did like it because it cools down the temperature of my skin thus making it less oilier. The tannin and BHA is surely a plus point of this product although I had
to cut off a lot of BHA skincare to give way to this so that I don’t
over exfoliate.

I read from Sokoglam that this essence can be used after blackhead extraction or to calm any redness. Although I don’t really do blackhead extraction because I barely got any (from a good skincare of course!) so I expected it to calm my redness that usually got after face wash.

So far, I don’t really see a major difference like I’m not really sure what it actually does to my skin in these two months because my skin were quite behaving because I don’t see much redness nor acne coming out that often but I do like the fact it feels cool on the skin and feels like it “tightens” my pores in the morning before I put on my makeup.

But I do think that it contributes to my “behaving” skin as I see less whiteheads and blackheads were pretty much nonexistent.

Overall, this is pretty nice! It doesn’t break me out or sting my skin and it absorbs pretty well too without much effort. The thing that I like the most if cooling effect it has from the menthyl lactate, although it disappear after a while.

 Thank you for reading!

xoxo

Although I haven’t quite found the right shade in this foundation yet, I know that when I do, it is going to be love. Here’s the lowdown on the Jane Iredale Skintuition Liquid Foundation SPF 30.

What is Jane Iredale Skintuition?

Jane Iredale Skintuition Liquid Foundation SPF 30

This is positioned as medium, buildable liquid foundation with physical SPF 30 sun protection. It promises a healthy, skin-like finish.

  • Lightweight liquid formula
  • Promises a barely there feel
  • Medium, buildable coverage
  • Naturally radiant perfected finish
  • Shades are designed to stay true all day
  • Blurs and smooths the appearance of fine lines and texture
  • Infused with skincare ingredients to hydrate
  • Uses a physical SPF 30 to protect from the sun
  • Water-resistant up to 40 minutes

As I haven’t quite found my shade match yet, I am hoping to get a few more shades swatched for you, so stay tuned.

As I said, I haven’t found my perfect match just yet, but I am showing you shade 24 here. As soon as I get a better match, I will share further photos.

My Review

My Review of Jane Iredale Skintuition Liquid Foundation SPF 30
My Review of Jane Iredale Skintuition Liquid Foundation SPF 30

I have to be honest, Jane Iredale has never really been a brand I’ve gravitated towards. It’s not one I ever come across when I’m browsing online, and it definitely hasn’t had much airtime in the UK beauty scene. But when I heard about the new Jane Iredale Skintuition Liquid Foundation SPF 30, I was intrigued. It’s marketed as a skincare-foundation hybrid, and it offers SPF 30.

So I gave it a go and I have to say, from the very first swipe, I was surprisingly impressed.

First Impressions: Application & Texture

From the first application, I was really into it. The texture is silky and blendable and it’s not too runny and not too thick. I found that it glides on beautifully with my REESON No. 1 brush which I use for pretty much all my complexion tasks. It delivers a solid medium coverage, and what stood out to me straight away was how incredibly blurring it is. It softened the look of my pores and texture almost instantly.

I haven’t quite found my perfect shade match just yet (I tried shade 24, which is slightly too light for me), but I’ve been making it work beautifully by warming it up with my REESON Beauty Bronzing Balm over the top. Once everything’s blended in, it looks seamless.

Finish: Luminous, Radiant & Skin-Like

One of my favourite things about this foundation is the finish. It’s radiant, but not shiny. Think healthy, fresh, dewy-but-not-greasy skin. It gives that “lit-from-within” glow that I absolutely love and it requires little or no skin prep to get that glowy look.

I find that it doesn’t cling to dry patches, doesn’t sit in fine lines, and doesn’t look cakey or mask-like. Just a super flattering, natural skin finish.

Longevity & Wear Test

What really surprised me was the staying power. On the first day I tried it, I applied it in the morning, ran around all day, and when I looked in the mirror at bedtime, I was pretty impressed. Everything was in place, and my skin looked fresh and smooth.

For something with such a radiant finish, it has amazing longevity. I didn’t need to touch up at all throughout the day. And for reference, I have combination skin, and this held up beautifully with no patchiness, oiliness, or separating.

Who is it Best For?

I think the Jane Iredale Skintuition Foundation is perfect for:

  • Dry skin types – because of its hydrating, radiant finish.
  • Mature skin – it doesn’t settle into lines and blurs texture beautifully
  • Combination skin – like mine, especially if you love a glow

Oily skin types might need a bit of powder in the T-zone, but the formula itself isn’t overly greasy or slippery.

If you need any guidance on which products to choose for your skin, read How to Choose the Right Foundation for Your Skin Type.

Final Thoughts: Do I Recommend It?

Even though Jane Iredale isn’t a brand I’d typically reach for, this foundation has really impressed me. The Jane Iredale Skintuition Liquid Foundation gives you radiant, healthy-looking skin, blurs imperfections, and lasts all day. The only downside for me is not finding my ideal shade match (yet!), but I’ll definitely be exploring more of the range.

If you’re after a skincare-foundation hybrid that looks and feels like real skin and holds up beautifully throughout the day, this is absolutely worth checking out.

Huda Beauty Blush Filter Liquid Blush Review & Swatches — Raincouver Beauty

by Lina Clémence June 21, 2025
written by Lina Clémence

It’s so exciting to still be discovering new beauty brands 10+ years later! This year, I have been testing out a lot of products from Huda Beauty. One product in particular that I’m very enamored with is the Huda Beauty Blush Filter Liquid Blush! Huda is obsessed with giving you an air brushed finish, and these little liquid blushers adds the perfect pop of color while keeping your skin looking smooth and filtered.

There are 11 shades to choose from and I have 5 available to swatch and review for you all today!! I love that the shade range is so diverse ranging from oranges to purples to browns. The product is also fairly priced at $32 CAD. You only need a small amount of product so this little baby will last you a long time!

Cotton Candy

Starting off with the safest shade out of the 5 I have. Cotton candy is a dusty strawberry pink that’ll be flattering on all skintones! If you have a small makeup collection, the Huda Beauty Blush Filter Liquid Blush in Cotton Candy might be the best pick for you.

Ube Cream

Ube Cream is part of the Ube collection and you can also get the matching setting powder. Although this bright lilac looks intimidating when swatched, it actually blends super easily and looks quite natural. I like the brightening effect it gives and this is definitely a unique shade worth picking up.

Sunset Lychee

I love coral shades so this one immediately caught my eye! Sunset Lychee is on the darker side so it doesn’t have the same brightening effect as Ube Cream or Bubblegum. It matches my skin tone more and I think paired with a coral lip and warm eyeshadow would create a sophisticated, monochromatic look. This could also be good for someone with a darker skin color.

Bubblegum

I was pleasantly surprised with how much I liked the Bubblegum shade. This shade swatches like a barbie pink but blends out to a natural brightening pink color. It’s wearable and lifts the cheeks for a youthful appearance.

Intense Guava

Intense Guava is a fuschia that would look amazing on deeper skin tones. I love the deeper raspberry color and this is a more unique shade too!

Huda Beauty Blush Filter Liquid Blush Swatches

Here are all 5 shades swatched next to each other! It is much easier to see the color difference of these Huda Beauty Blush Filter Liquid Blushes on the hand. Ube Cream and Bubblegum are the lightest. Cotton Candy is the most wearable. Sunset Lychee and Intense Guava are best for darker skins!

From left to right: Cotton Candy, Ube Cream, Sunset Lychee, Bubblegum, Intense Guava

Huge thank you to the Huda Beauty team for sending me so many shades to play with!! It’s always so nice to compare the different shade offerings within the same product. If you don’t have many liquid blushes, my recommendation is Cotton Candy. If you’re looking for something unique, go for Ube Cream or Lychee Sunset!

Lisa Eldridge Liquid Lurex eyeshadows

by Lina Clémence May 31, 2025
written by Lina Clémence

I am a massive fan of liquid sparkly makeup and two days before receiving my LE eye shadows, enthused by the holiday spirit, I shot a roundup of some of my favorite sparkly shimmery eye shadows. It didn’t end well. My eyes have been itchy, watery, sore since, and the reel I shot didn’t get saved. But I DID get some pretty pictures out of that exercise which had everyone DMing me about the eye shadow details.

About the Lisa Eldridge Liquid Lurex eye shadows (from the website) These easy-to-use eye embellishments will see you through the party season and beyond. With a flattering formula that is both creamy and lightweight, the Liquid Lurex Eyeshadow has a lustrous, wet-look finish with a durable shine that disco diva dreams are made of. Each of the five effortlessly blendable shades contains a mirrorball blend of multi-colored pearls that dance across the lids. Apply Liquid Lurex directly to the eyelids with the applicator and blend out immediately with fingertips or a brush for a sparkling wash of color. For more intense coverage apply a second layer for seamless full coverage disco drama. Liquid Lurex can also be used as an eyeliner either using a small liner brush or blended as a smoky line along the upper and lower lash line for a subtle flash of shimmering color.

So today, when I saw my little LE package, I wasn’t particularly excited, having categorized the new liquid lurex in the same general category of liquid sparkly eye shadows. I am happy to report that these are unlike anything else I have tried in the past! The formula is dense, uniform (I don’t like eyeshadows where the particles are unevenly distributed in the medium), and applies smoothly like silk. When you touch it, it doesn’t feel gritty AT ALL and YET, it gives that beautiful multi-dimensional sparkle, which thus far, only chunky, itch-inducing sparkly eye shadows have given me so far.

These don’t dry out very quickly either, which can be good or bad. You have some time to play with them before they ‘set’, but even as they set, they don’t give that dry, crepe-y, tight feeling to the eyelids. It didn’t bother me when I was 22 (I’m looking at you, MAC Paint Pots) but at 32, it does. I want my makeup to feel comfortable. And glamorous. And this does both!

With these liquid lurex eye shadows, Lisa has forever changed the liquid sparkly eyeshadow game for me! My collection thus far has the Pixi fairy light liquid, Stila, Wet n Wild liquid catsuit, Colourpop Supernova, Etude House Mirrorholic, but I don’t think I’ll be needing those anymore!

So if you’re in the market for smooth, non-gritty sparkle for the holiday season that has your lids sparkling like an expensive bauble, do consider these! I bought Angelica which is like dusty pink-toned champagne on my medium complexion (I’m no.17 in the LE Seamless Skin foundation) and Lauren which is a rich, molten yellow gold. There are 3 other shades in the range and I hope she considers expanding the range to include some more plums, purples, and jewel-toned shades!
