SHEET MASK | Teaology Matcha Tea Superfood Firming and Blemish Tea Glow AHA Sheet Mask | Cosmetic Proof

by Lina Clémence June 18, 2025
written by Lina Clémence

Press samples

I have been enjoying a much needed day off today as I just was not in the mood to work yesterday. And by that, I just mean that I wasn’t finding tasks that I normally enjoy as fun as usual. I always like to stay busy regardless of how I feel as standing/sitting around on my phone makes me feel mentally and physically worse so if I don’t feel like doing a mentally exhaustive task, I will switch to visual merchandising or organizing repairs or just flat out cleaning! I got up relatively early (thanks to Bustyboo) and ended up having breakfast and going for a 5km walk before noon! I have really been trying hard to get at least 10K steps/day and so far, I have been able to keep it up for a over a month! My Apple watch has been telling me what a good job I have been doing LOL!

I have reviewed Teaology sheet masks before back in 2021 (here) and it looks like things have improved since then so let’s dive right in!

FIRMING | Matcha Tea Superfood Mask*

Teaology Matcha Tea Superfood Firming Sheet Mask

What makes this mask special? Firstly, there is the face AND neck aspect which makes the Teaology series of sheet masks special as ALL of their sheet masks include both of these areas. The mask is also made of 100% biodegradable elastic cotton fibres. The essence contains actual matcha tea, which is full of antioxidants, as well as hyaluronic acid, niacinamide with all water coming from Teaology’s trademark tea infusion.

Teaology Sheet Mask Review

Ingredients: WATER(*), GLYCERIN, HYDROXYACETOPHENONE, POLYGLYCERYL-10 EICOSANEDIOATE/TETRADECANEDIOATE, CAPRYLYL GLYCOL, 1,2-HEXANEDIOL,TETRASODIUM GLUTAMATE DIACETATE, BUTYLENE GLYCOL, SODIUM HYALURONATE,CAMELLIA SINENSIS LEAF(MATCHA TEA)(*), NIACINAMIDE, CITRIC ACID, JUGLANS REGIA LEAF EXTRACT, JUGLANS REGIA SHELL EXTRACT, LECITHIN, CENTELLA ASIATICA EXTRACT, PYRUS GERMANICA EXTRACT, TREHALOSE, PENTYLENE GLYCOL, CAMELLIA SINENSIS LEAF EXTRACT, PALMITOYL TRIPEPTIDE-5, BETA-GLUCAN, HORDEUM VULGARE SEED EXTRACT. (*)TEA INFUSION

Teaology Face and Neck Sheet Mask

The fabric of the mask was very stretchy so pulling the two sets of ear loops over the ears was not a struggle. The print/weave was fun and reminded me of very fancy Charmin toilet paper! The only thing was disappointing was how dry the mask seemed as it did not seem to hold onto essence and there also wasn’t much essence left in the package for me to put on top. Granted, the results were positive so maybe I don’t need the mask to be soaking in essence? I think I am just spoiled by Asian sheet masks!

I will say that compared to the last set of Teaology sheet masks I reviewed, the fit felt more comfortable as the previous mask material was VERY thick and wasn’t the most comfortable to wear especially around the ears.

Teaology Face and Neck Sheet Mask

Mask Summary:

Price: $7.50 CDN

What it does: Tones, firms and regenerates skin

Scent: Slightly sweet, but otherwise very subtle

Essence Type: Clear, slightly viscous

Duration: 20 minutes

Thickness: Fairly thin and stretchy

Mask Fit: Plenty of coverage with some mask on the sides going well into my hair. I do feel like it may have fit better if the fibers absorbed more essence.

Tackiness: None

Hydration: Quite nice! I did not need any moisturizer and my skin had a very slight tack to it as if I HAD applied moisturizer!

Other notes: N/A

BLEMISH | Tea Glow AHA Sheet Mask*

Teaology Green Tea Niacinamide Blemish Sheet Mask

What makes this mask special? This has both BHA (salicylic acid from willow bark) and AHA from pineapple, lemon and blueberry extracts. It also contains Teaology’s signature white tea infusion.

Teaology Green Tea Niacinamide Blemish Sheet Mask

INGREDIENTS: AQUA/WATER/EAU(*), GLYCERIN, NIACINAMIDE, POLYGLYCERYL-10 EICOSANEDIOATE/TETRADECANEDIOATE, TETRASODIUM GLUTAMATE DIACETATE, VACCINIUM MYRTILLUS FRUIT EXTRACT, SALIX NIGRA BARK EXTRACT, ANANAS SATIVUS FRUIT JUICE, SACCHARUM OFFICINARUM EXTRACT, SODIUM HYALURONATE, CITRUS AURANTIUM DULCIS FRUIT EXTRACT, CITRUS LIMON FRUIT EXTRACT, SODIUM HYDROXIDE, ACER SACCHARUM EXTRACT, CAPRYLYL GLYCOL, HYDROXYACETOPHENONE, 1,2-HEXANEDIOL, CAMELLIA SINENSIS LEAF(GREEN TEA)(*), CAMELLIA SINENSIS LEAF EXTRACT. (*)TEA INFUSION

Teaology Green Tea Niacinamide Blemish Sheet Mask

Mask Summary:

Price: $7.50 CDN

What it does: Regulate sebum production, minimize the appearance of pores, improve skin texture

Scent: Slightly sweet, but otherwise very subtle

Essence Type: Clear, slightly viscous, but again not very much left in the packet

Duration: 20 minutes

Thickness: Fairly thin and stretchy

Mask Fit: Plenty of coverage with some mask on the sides going well into my hair. I do feel like it may have fit better if the fibers absorbed more essence.

Tackiness: None

Hydration: Decent though with this mask I did feel like I needed a bit of moisturizer on top.

Other notes: The ear loops felt a bit looser than the previous mask and looked almost like they were disintegrating? I also felt a teensy bit more sensitive towards the end of the 20 minutes so I think all of this has to do with the presence of AHAs.

Teaology Sheet Mask Review

Final verdict: I definitely enjoyed the results more with the new upgraded masks and though I was doubtful of the masks at first because of how little essence there was, I was very happy with the results and would love to try the other masks available especially the one for glow!

You can find the Teaology Sheet Masks at London Drugs or teaologyskincare.ca!

LED Light Therapy Face Mask Benefits : Myth busting, key information + FAQs answered.

by Lina Clémence June 15, 2025
written by Lina Clémence

Which is the best LED mask 2025AD – This is a sponsored post with Currentbody – all words and views are my own.

LED Light Therapy has become very popular in the last few years for targeting a number of skin and health concerns, however there is still many misconceptions surrounding LED technology and if it actually works. So I am going to try and give you the answers to the most frequently asked questions about light therapy, talk through the misconceptions and hopefully make it all a little easier to understand.

I have used LED light therapy masks for many years, I have used a few different brands and I now exclusively use Currentbody as I have found the best results from using their masks. I wholly trust their clinical research , science-backing and I think the results always speak for themselves.

Having said that, by no means am I saying it’s the only LED light therapy mask that will work for you – there are some other GREAT ones on the market, but you definitely do need to do your research into the brand, what clinical proof they have that their devices actually work, what wavelengths they use, and also I think it is VERY important to buy from a reputable brand. With the surge of LED popularity, there are some questionable devices currently on the market and you are honestly wasting your money on some of these. Let’s get into it!

Which is the best LED mask 2025

COMMON MYTHS AND MISCONCEPTIONS!

These are some of the most common questions and concerns I am asked about LED masks.

‘Red light can cause melasma and make pigmentation worse’

There is no clinical data or research carried out to back any such claims and much of this is a misunderstanding of how LED light treats the skin over time and helps to improve skin tone and texture. It can really help fade marks and pigmentation on the skin and help with healing and scarring also.

‘The LED light can harm your eyes’

The LED lights used within the Currentbody masks are completely safe for your eyes, however they do provide eye inserts if you feel any discomfort from the brightness when you are using it. I personally do not use the inserts and now just use it as an excuse to have 10 minutes of shut-eye and relaxation.

‘The LED light can burn your skin’

The Currenbody LED’s do NOT generate heat, so will not burn and is completely pain-free. There is no downtime and after-use you can simply apply your skincare and carry straight on with your day (or evening!).

‘Red Light therapy isn’t suitable for people with darker skin’

People with darker skin tones can safely use red light therapy. Melanin, the pigment responsible for skin colour, does not block or reduce the effectiveness of red light therapy.

‘LED doesn’t penetrate the skin’

The Currentbody LED masks can penetrate up to 10mm into the skin. Different wavelengths of light penetrate at different depths, with deep near-infrared penetrating to the deepest layers. This is clinically proven and as you can see from my personal results in the photos below, it’s absolutely working.

‘These LED masks all do the same, why spend £300 when you can spend £30!’

Yeah…no.  I speak about this a little more in-depth below but in short – these are high-tech devices ; a lot of post-production testing is needed, clinical testing, and a lot of the cheaper devices on the market (I’ve seen them in supermarkets!) will do absolutely nothing to improve your skin. The wavelengths they are using are not going to penetrate the skin or do anything except make your face feel a little warm.

Which is the best LED mask 2025

LED MASK SKIN BENEFITS : THE TRUTH.

Do they REALLY work? Are they just a fad?

Light therapy has been used for decades to treat and heal the skin. Light therapy was originally developed by NASA for healing wounds in space. in the 1990’s the US Navy Seals began using it and shortly after, aestheticians introduced it into their treatment rooms. LED light therapy is backed by clinical data that is will help skin repair, stimulate collagen, fade age spots, decrease inflammation and smooth the skin.

Top skin clinics  have been using LED light therapy for many years now for this reason and the results of light therapy are cumulative, so you need to have treatment frequently and be consistent. This is where LED at-home masks have stepped in : an affordable way to get clinic-like results. LED masks have just seen in a surge in popularity in recent years and quite rightly so. I have personally seen the results that you can get from using LED and I have shared my before and afters below.

What results will you see from using an LED light therapy mask?

The key benefits that LED red light therapy will have for your skin is helping with scarring, acne, redness, This has all been clinically proven, over many years and many times. People will see varying results, of course and it does also depend on the condition on your skin in the first place. As I say every time I talk about using LED masks, you do need to be conscious of using a decent skincare routine alongside CONSISTENT use of the LED mask.

If you want to know all the in’s and out’s of how to use the mask / how often etc then do check out my post here which is all about the Currentbody Skin LED Light Therapy Mask Series 2.

My personal results :

These are my before and after photo’s after using the Currentbody Skin LED light therapy mask for the face and then more recently, the Currentbody Skin LED Neck & Décolletage Mask. These images are unedited and the true results I got from the masks.

LED mask before after review

I have only been using the Currentbody Skin LED Neck & Décolletage Mask Series 2 for five weeks only and the below is the results from this period of time , using it x5 a week for the 10 minute recommended time a day. I’m kind of blown away with how quickly it has changed the appearance of my skin and can’t wait to see how it looks after 8 weeks + which is when you will get the more our results.

BLUE LIGHT VS RED LIGHT.

Do you need to use both blue and red light? Let’s quickly chat about it and why you may need one over the other or even both!..

Red Light Therapy

This is a non-invasive treatment that uses low-level wavelengths of red and near-infrared light to stimulate cellular function and promote healing and rejuvenation. Red light therapy will target redness and hyperpigmentation , improve skin texture, inflammation, acne scarring and fine lines. Everyone can use and benefit from red light therapy.

Blue Light Therapy

Blue light therapy gets absorbed by the cells on the skin’s surface, specifically targeting spot-causing bacteria. It’s a common misconception that Blue Light is good for everyone however  it might not be right for your skin if you do not have active acne. Extended use of Blue light therapy may cause: pigmentation, skin sensitivity and irritation.

The Currentbody blue light mask combines with red light therapy to also target redness and inflammation and healing scars which commonly go hand-in-hand with symptoms of acne.

which is the best LED mask 2025 which is the best LED mask 2025

NOT ALL LED MASKS ARE EQUAL, HERE IS WHY.

Accuracy of testing.

A lot of LED masks make certain claims of efficacy yet once the mask is actually tested, it often shows big variations  in the of the strength of LED bulbs and the actual true wavelengths it emits. This will cause uneven distribution of the light therapy so you may get very different results from one mask to the other – from the same brand!

Currentbody are the ONLY LED device brand who own both their production and testing. The transparency of their Vertitace system is unmatched and you can check the results, the testing and efficacy of your very own Currentbody mask. Below you can see the Veritace production process from my card that came with my Currentbody Skin LED Neck & Décolletage Mask Series 2 ; every series 2 mask now has this. You simply tap your phone onto the unique card and it will take you directly to your personal mask and it will show you the testing it has been through and the all-important results and key information.

You can use code LAURACB to get 10% on all Currentbody LED masks. Shop here!

which is the best LED mask 2025 which is the best LED mask 2025 which is the best LED mask 2025

Placement of bulbs.

More does not mean better and the placement of the bulbs and the type of wavelength they emit is really important. LED bulbs emit a 60% ‘light spread’ so they will overlap. If there is too many bulbs on a mask this overstimulate and overheat the skin without improving the results you get. If there are too few LED bulbs you won’t get an optimum light overlap, so the results won’t be as good.

Type of Red Light.

The type of red light is very important. For example when using red light, it is beneficial to also use near-infrared alongside it to boost the red light benefits. One to the other alone won’t give great results.

The Currentbody series 2 masks use THREE clinically proven wavelengths as opposed to 2 which most LED masks use :  these are red, near-infrared and  and deep near-infrared. The deep near-infrared have been positioned in the areas where we see the more intense signs of ageing. On the Series 2 face mask this is around the eye and mouth area. On the Series 2 Neck and Dec this is down the middle / chest area where we often see most crepiness and lines.

which is the best LED mask 2025 which is the best LED mask 2025

There are many amazing LED masks on the market, but please do your research, see true before and after’s and always buy from a reputable company. See if they have independent clinical trials and what the results show.  Do the digging and scratch below the surface. As a small side note : LED masks should not be cheap! The amount of science and development that should go into these devices reflects in the price. These are a true skin investment that should last you many years. You also want to choose a brand that have good customer service and aftercare if you so need.

which is the best LED mask 2025

CONSISTENCY IS KEY WITH LED!

I say this all the time – there is absolutely no point in spending hundreds of pounds on an LED mask and not using it consistently and properly and then being disappointed with the results. For LED light therapy to work, you need to be using it at least 5 times a week and to see good results, for at least 8 weeks. Alongside this, please consider a good, consistent skincare routine. If you aren’t looking after your skin and think by slapping an LED mask over the top will solve all your skin problems you are not going to get the results you want. Be realistic, take the time to use the device and also – take a photo in good lighting BEFORE you start using LED. sometimes you may think it’s not doing much but when you compare before and after images you can really see these improvements.

which is the best LED mask 2025 which is the best LED mask 2025

So I hope that has helped de-bunk some myths surrounding LED masks and has answered all the questions you may have. If there is anything I have not covered please feel free to drop any questions below or over on my Instagram @Lauraloumakeup and I will get back to you.

I have a code which is LAURACB which will give you 10% off on all LED masks over on Currentbody so feel free to use that if you decide to treat yourself to one of these amazing masks! They are a skin investment for sure, but something I am sure you will see great results from, alongside a decent skincare routine with consistent use.

Sleeping Mask Terbaik Bikin Kulit Plump & Glowing Dalam Semalam Dengan Camellique Aqua Spa | ELIN IVANA

by Lina Clémence June 14, 2025
written by Lina Clémence

Kenapa tadi aku bilang higenis?

7th Heaven Pink Oxygen Bubble Mask Review – Hoots Of Beauty

by Lina Clémence June 6, 2025
written by Lina Clémence

Bubble masks are not new. They have been around in the K Beauty scene for years. However, 7th Heaven has the first cruelty free bubble masks I have seen. There are two to pick from Pink Oxygen and Charcoal. In Canada, you can pick up the 7th Heaven Pink Oxygen Bubble Mask from Farleyco, and some drug stores for around $5.

Like other sheet masks, this bubble mask is very easy to use. You do need to rub the package to active the bubbles before opening. This mask will start bubbling soon after to opening the package. The mask will bubble for the whole 10 minutes. The mask does have a scent, like citrus.

I would be careful if you have very sensitive skin as this mask has a blend of grapefruit,  raspberry and lemon. These ingredients are antioxidants, but they can be irritating to the skin.

Overall, the 7th Haven Pink Oxygen Bubble Mask is a fun sheet mask. It is relaxing to use and worth it for the selfies. I wouldn’t over do this mask due to the grapefruit, raspberry and lemon.

This week I’m (really) obsessed with… Briogeo Superfoods Acai + Passionfruit Lightweight Hydration Hair Mask!

by Lina Clémence May 31, 2025
written by Lina Clémence

Anyone who knows me even a little knows I have a borderline unhealthy obsession with beauty products that smell like food – preferably fruit, because who wouldn’t want to smell like a tropical snack bar? I’m convinced the folks at Briogeo hacked into my brain, did a little aromatherapeutic mind-reading, whipped up the exact scent I’d lose my mind over and then bottled it in the new Superfoods Açaí + Passionfruit Lightweight Hydration Hair Mask. It’s like a smoothie for your hair – and yes, I’ve thought about tasting it. (No, I didn’t. Okay, maybe just once…)

Briogeo Superfoods Acai + Passionfruit Lightweight Hydration Hair Mask – 240ml – $53 – a lightweight, superfood-infused mask with a water-cream texture to deeply hydrate fine strands without sacrificing volume or weighing hair down and infused with a juicy, tropical, passionfruit-inspired scent (which is amazing!)

It’s perfect for fine and medium hair – be it straight, wavy or curly – to sort out dryness, frizz and add shine. The vegan formula contains a concentrated blend of phytonutrients that nourishes hair without sacrificing volume including: acai extract – to protect strands from environmental aggressors; passionfruit oil – to boost moisture and add shine; and hydration complex – to deeply hydrate parched hair.

Okay, I know I keep going on about how good this smells (and yes, you’re probably over it), but honestly  it smells so incredible that I wouldn’t even be mad if it didn’t work. I’d just walk around huffing my own hair like a weirdo. But plot twist – it actually works really well.

Now, I love a good hair mask, but most of them are so thick and moisturizing that they leave my fine hair looking less like a shampoo commercial and more like I lost a battle with an oil slick. This one, though – total game-changer! It’s got this light-as-air, water-cream texture that leaves my hair softer, smoother, shinier without even a hint of grease.

And the scent? Ohhh the scent… It’s described as sweet, slightly tart berries meeting fresh, crisp greens with a juicy, tropical finish – and honestly, that’s poetry. It’s like a fruity vacation in a jar. 10/10, no notes.

Available now at Sephora stores across Canada and online at sephora.ca.

– Lisamarie –

BTW, did I mention that it smells amazing?!

SHEET MASK | Peace Out Overnight Bio-Collagen Recovery Mask | Cosmetic Proof

by Lina Clémence May 30, 2025
written by Lina Clémence

Purchased by me. Affiliate links.

It seems like the most viral sheet masks right now are the ones that become clear while you wear them overnight and though I have the famous Biodance ones to review, I picked up the Peace Out Overnight Bio-Collagen Recovery Mask during the Sephora VIB event because I always love trying new sheet masks and now that Sephora does not carry as many, I definitely jump at the chance when I see one!

Peace Out Overnight Bio-Collagen Recovery Mask Review

What makes this mask special? It’s one of those soluble collagen masks that turns clear overnight so for those of you who enjoy a morning shed, this is the mask for you! This mask also contains niacinamide, hydrolyzed collagen, collagen extract, five peptides, cica extract and a whopping eight different forms of hyaluronic acid! This mask is EVERYTHING!

Peace Out Overnight Bio-Collagen Recovery Mask Review

This was my very first time using an overnight mask like this and if you don’t like leaving this on overnight, the instructions suggest leaving it on for at least 3-4 hours. Honestly though, if I did it during the day, I would not be able to resist talking, eating or drinking for 3-4 hours so overnight really does seem to make the most sense!

Peace Out Overnight Bio-Collagen Recovery Mask Review

I’m not gonna lie. As someone who is a side sleeper, sleeping in this mask was a challenge for me as I needed to sleep in my back. I also like to sleep with the covers right up to my nose which I couldn’t do in this case as the mask was wet for a few hours. I also like sleeping with the window open, so I had a continuous cool breeze across my face which made this mask extra cold. In general, I wasn’t physically that comfortable so I prayed to the skincare gods that it would all be worth it in the morning!

Peace Out Overnight Bio-Collagen Recovery Mask Review

An interesting side effect of this mask that I will need to be careful of is that my cat, Buster, finds it DELICIOUS. I woke up in the morning to him licking my face very intensely which has never happened before! I have also found him licking the mask in my “review pile” as I keep the actual masks I need to review by my laptop so I think he either likes THIS particular mask or just collagen overnight masks in general! I guess as I do more reviews for this type of mask, I will find out what Buster prefers LOL!

Peace Out Overnight Bio-Collagen Recovery Mask Review

This is how the mask looks like in the morning. My eyes weren’t even open yet when I took this photo because Buster was hounding me and I definitely wanted to wash my face. I usually wash my face in the morning with cold water so all I did was peel off the mask, rinse with water and pat dry and you know what? My skin looked FABULOUS!

Mask Summary:

Price: $12.50 CDN each

What it does: Enhance the skin barrier, soothe dry skin and reduce redness

Scent: None

Essence Type: Clear, viscous

Duration: Minimum of 3-4 hours, but overnight recommended which is what I did.

Thickness: Thin hydrogel

Mask Fit: Pretty good! The chin portion held on to my skin quite well.

Tackiness: None because you are meant to cleanse your face as usual after removing the mask.

Hydration: Skin is SUPER plump after removal! My goodness!

Other notes: Dries down and goes clear-ish, but remains a bit sticky.

Peace Out Overnight Bio-Collagen Recovery Mask Review

Final verdict: This mask leans more expensive than other Korean masks of similar category, but I did LOVE the results. I woke up to super plump, even-looking skin that looked so bright it was hard to not to notice! I am going to try my Biodance ($7 CDN) and Maskeraide ($8 CDN) masks to see if they measure up and if not, I will be repurchasing this mask in the multiples!

by Lina Clémence May 29, 2025
written by Lina Clémence

Buat kalian yang addicted sama k-beauty, pasti udah ga asing dong sama masker dari Hello Skin ? Aku awalnya kaget sih pas tau kalo masker ini tuh lagi hype banget di Korea. Kebetulan masker ini aku ngga beli, tapi dapet gift dari salah satu e-commerce Korea. (harganya sekitar 20ribu – 35ribu)

Jujur pas mau review produk ini pertama kali aku rada bingung. Masalahnya hampir semua tulisan di sheet mask ini pake huruf Hangeul (kecuali ingredients). Bahkan nama maskernya pun ditulis pake huruf hangeul 주미소 (dibaca : JUMISO) yang artinya “smile”.

Winter Skincare | LANEIGE Firming Sleeping Mask Review

by Lina Clémence May 29, 2025
written by Lina Clémence

The past few months have gone by quickly — a blur of work, Netflix binges, and frozen cauliflower-crust pizzas. My skincare routine has taken a hit, and I’ve been trying to get my skin’s moisture back to its healthy pre-hibernation levels. There have been nourishing oils, hydrating serums and rich moisturizers on heavy rotation, but I find myself going back to the LANEIGE Firming Sleeping Mask* ($39) over and over again. And kind of…unsure about it? Now that I’ve almost gone through the entire jar (and lost the little scoop it came with), it’s time to decide if I’ll repurchase this overnight treatment or move on to something new.

LANEIGE Firming Sleeping Mask texture

LANEIGE Firming Sleeping Mask Review

I love overnight treatments. They are a lazy girl’s best friends, especially in winter. A good one can give dull skin its glow back in less than eight hours. The LANEIGE Firming Sleeping Mask is great for those evenings when all you want to do is take your makeup off with a wipe and go to bed. It works hard while you sleep, and you wake up with plump, hydrated skin.

The LANEIGE Firming Sleeping Mask has a really unique texture. If the Water Sleeping Mask (reviewed here) is a gel, the Firming Sleeping Mask is a jelly. When the product is scooped up from the jar, the surface gets chunky and then smooths itself out in seconds…like magic. It’s cold and slippery, which doesn’t sound great, but a little goes a long way and it feels like water on the skin once it warms up. It dries down quickly and without leaving a greasy film behind. My skin soaks it up so quickly, there’s nothing left to rinse off by morning.

LANEIGE Firming Sleeping Mask texture

This is a good mask layering with oils and serums for extra nourishment and hydration as it’s not quite as hydrating as others I’ve tried all by itself. I especially love using it with the fragrance-free Crambé oil I’ve been testing recently as it lets the beautiful scent of the LANEIGE Firming Sleeping Mask shine. It’s lightly fragranced with the same Sleepscent that is found in the Water Sleeping Mask — a relaxing and (hopefully) sleep-inducing blend of ylang-ylang, rose, sandalwood oil and orange flower. My skin is very sensitive to fragrances, but this one has never been a problem for me. Be sure to do a patch test if you have reactive skin!

Unlike the Water Sleeping Mask, which is all about hydration, the Firming Sleeping Mask is  — you guessed it! — all about firming and tightening the skin. As I get older, I definitely notice that my skin is losing some of its firmness and elasticity, especially when I’m dehydrated. I haven’t noticed any changes in my skin’s firmness or elasticity while using this mask, but I do like how plump and hydrated my skin is in the morning. I find that I miss the extra hydration from the Water Sleeping Mask formula, though someone who worries about the first signs of aging might prefer to trade some hydration for a little firming action.

LANEIGE Firming Sleeping Mask

TL;DR?

The Water Sleeping Mask is still my favourite overnight treatment from LANEIGE. It’s mostly down to the fact that I prefer the gel-like texture of the Water Sleeping Mask over a slightly chunky jelly texture of the Firming Sleeping Mask, but also because the first is more hydrating. The Water Sleeping Mask’s packaging is sleeker…and yes, I do pick products partly based on how they look on my dressing table when they’re a little more pricey. If firmness and elasticity are your main concerns, the Firming Sleeping Mask is a good option to target both signs of aging and hydration. For now, I’ll stick to the Water range…while I still can.
