La Roche-Posay – A few skincare solutions for Mom – MyLipAddiction.com

by Lina Clémence July 31, 2025
written by Lina Clémence

Mom’s day is approaching fast 🙂

La Roche Posay always has great ideas for gifting of any kind- but Moms deserve more gifts 🙂 LOL

Here are a great pair of product that I love and are great for any skin type.

“Toleriane Double Cleanser is a cleansing gel formulated for all ultra-sensitive skin types, including oily. Get the efficacy of a double cleanse routine in one gentle step – with a unique amino acid complex, Toleriane Double Cleanser effectively removes impurities and makeup without stripping or irritation. Soap-free, sulfate-free, fragrance-free. Maintains skin pH. Formulated with hydrating glyerin and soothing niacinamide. Dermatologist-tested.”

This is AHMAZING – Half the bottle is empty here 🙂 and I only received it a few weeks ago . I am not usually a fan of gel cleansers but this one is different!  It  cleanses everything off the skin – everything ! no dry skin after ….. Such a great cleanser for a busy mom that wants perfectly cleansed skin with one product.

“Soothing Repairing Balm: Anti-bacterial texture. Babies, children and adults. Optimal skin recovery for sensitive skin after dry skin irritations* and superficial cutaneous heating sensations. Thanks to its quick-absorbing texture and invisible, non-oily and non-sticky finish, all activities can be immediately resumed after application.”

This is the product I recommend to anyone who asks me “what is a great product to soothe irritated skin”  This is it!  I have two tubes of this and it literally has soothed every little skin boo boo. Please check with your Dermatologist or Doctor if you have questions about your skin first!.

Available at Shopper’s Drug Mart, Well.ca, Beautysense.ca and on their website.

Two incredible products you can’t go wrong for Mom with – or anyone else in the fam !

See You soon!

3 Tips to Get Your Kids Out the Door Faster (From a Mom Who Gets It)

by Lina Clémence July 30, 2025
written by Lina Clémence

Let’s be real…leaving the house with kids isn’t just “grabbing your keys.” It’s a full-blown production.

And while I haven’t cracked the code completely (because toddlers and time management don’t mix).

These three tips have truly made things easier in our house, and they might help in yours too.

Pack the Baby Bag the Night Before

I know, I know. You’re tired. Me too. But taking 10 minutes after bedtime to prep outfits, pack snacks, and stash the essentials makes all the difference. I also set out their clothes in their room (one outfit for my 6-year-old, one for my toddler) and put bags by the door.

Give Them Something to Look Forward To

Let’s be honest…kids don’t move faster just because you’re in a rush. But giving them something to get excited about can speed things up.

For example:

“After we get in the car, you can pick a song to play.”

“Once we’re buckled up, you get your snack!”

Create a “Grab and Go” Station by the Door

This was a game-changer. I set up a small basket near the door with must-haves: socks, hair ties, wipes, snacks, and sunscreen. That way, I’m not running back upstairs for a missing bow or digging through drawers while the baby’s halfway into her car seat.

I hope these tips help you get out the door without a meltdown (from them or you)?

Jewish-Themed Mom Businesses Since 10/7 Are Popping Up Everywhere: Meet ShopPOPByMare and Sababa Social Club

by Lina Clémence June 22, 2025
written by Lina Clémence

Since 10/7 antisemitism has hit it’s high in the States, and many of us Jewish Mothers (yes, that is capitalized because we say so) have sat, hearts broken, jaws agape with the putrid rot of Jew hate that has been freely empowered across the world. Many of my Jewish Mom friends have since gone to work or volunteer at Jewish Nonprofits, many have started small Jewish focused businesses, and many have seen their personal commitment to Zionist activism hit a new high. We will be highlighting as many of these small businesses, non profits, and companies as we can moving forward. Ennesa Alfandari, affectionately known as Nessie to many, is a Jewish Mom in LA who has launched a thriving tiny apparel company and a Los Angeles based social club to benefit Israel.

Here is her story;

I’m a devoted mother and loving wife, but above all, I take immense pride in my Jewish heritage. As a granddaughter of Holocaust survivors, my roots trace back to Brooklyn,  though I was raised in New Jersey – and now call Los Angeles home. Working full time as a marketing coordinator, at age 38, I made a pivotal decision to embark on a journey of self-discovery and entrepreneurial creativity. I set out to develop a small “side hustle” for myself.  I started ShopPopByMare based on my own personal view on life.  Profound gratitude for happiness ignited my enthusiasm and led to the inception of ShopPOPByMare. The concept was simple yet profound: to provide a space where a seller (myself) and customers could connect, curating thoughtful and personalized gifts that celebrated the beauty of human connection.

After October 7th, in the aftermath of war, when hearts were shattered, communities were broken, and spirits were diminished, I found myself confronted with the darkest of times. It was during this period of ultimate sadness that a dear friend reached out, urging me to channel my talents into creating designs that could bring light to the world, and send funds to Israel. Though initially hesitant, I was propelled forward by my friend’s words: “Do it. We need it.”. With unwavering determination, I devoted countless sleepless nights to crafting designs that embodied love, connection, and hope. Several days later, a new revolution was born, and its impact was immediate and significant.

My designs spread like wildfire, touching the hearts of countless individuals and reigniting a sense of faith and beauty in our Jewish community. The mantra quickly became “One Nation One Heart.” My designs have been worn by activists and luminaries like Carrie Nachmani, Tomer Peretz, Dr. Sheila Nazarian, Elizabeth Sutton, Amy Chapman, Julia Pratt, Kasim HaFeez, Dana Arschin, Michael Valdes, Dini Klien and more.

ShopPOPByMare not only contributes financially to putting an end to antisemitism and supporting Israel, but also serves as a beacon of resilience and hope. I feel prouder than ever to embrace my identity as a Jew, to stand in solidarity with our nation and homeland more steadfastly than before. The global resurgence of anti-Semitism fuels my determination to combat hatred and provide a sense of connection and unity for Jewish communities –especially in Europe, the UK, and Australia.

It’s true that every mom has many sides. The woman who rises early in the morning to get everyone ready for the day is the same woman who unwinds with a glass of wine in the evening. Mom Loves Makeup: Yehwadam Revitalizing Moisture

by Lina Clémence June 13, 2025
written by Lina Clémence

I’ve spent the majority of my summer avoiding makeup. It’s been too hot, too humid and I just haven’t felt inspired to wear makeup that will quite literally melt off of my face. In the absence of makeup, skincare has become my best friend. I’ve always been into skincare, but I’ve never become obsessed with it. Until now. When I’m not out and about with the kids, I’m researching new ways to better my skin. In my quest to find the latest and greatest, I stumbled upon premium skincare brand Yehwadam.

The people at The Faceshop were kind enough to gift me the brand new Yehwadam sub-line; Yehwadam Revitalizing Moisture. This new line is formulated for those with combination to oily skin and promises intense moisture without a sticky, heavy or greasy feel. Although my skin type is typically dehydrated and dry, the summer has my skin all f’d up. I’m currently somewhere between normal/dehydrated/combo. The joy!

“Yehwadam is an anti-aging skincare line that brings traditional Korean herbs, ginseng and flowers into modern anti-aging. Yehwadam products are made with natural Korean ingredients processed by traditional methods passed down from one generation to another.”

Yehwadam Revitalizing Moisture Fluid ($40, 150 ml) is a water based product that combines toner and lotion into a single step. It’s formulated with Fresh Water Flower which contains 5 types of traditional herbal ingredients including Korean Ginsing, Safflower and Goji Berries.

I’m all about simplifying my routine, so I’m happy that this product can eliminate a step for me. I apply it after my serum and I find it absorbs very quickly – within a minute or so. It has a light scent and a non-sticky texture. What I like most about this lotion is that it feels very hydrating but without any sort of residual greasiness, heaviness or stickiness. My skin feels quenched and what I can only assume one would call ‘normal’. I really feel like this is the perfect summer moisturizer for me. I’m not so sure it will cut it come fall, but for now it works amazingly well. If you have combo or oily skin, you will love this! Oh, and it comes with a pump and the bottle is huge. The value of this product is great – you get much more product, for less money than most.

Yehwadam Revitalizing Moisturizing Cream ($55, 50 ml) is a lightweight gel-cream that claims to hydrate the skin without leaving it sticky. It’s formulated with oriental herbal ingredients grown in Korea. Peony, Lotus, Safflower, Chrysanthemum, Honeysuckle, Ginsing and Goji Berry to name a few!

Yehwadam Revitalizing Moisturizing Cream is light but more substantial than their Moisture Fluid. It applies like a gel but feels hydrating like a cream. I found it to absorb a lot slower and not entirely. I can still feel it on my face hours after applying it and it does feel slightly tacky for the first little while. I don’t love it for summer days, unless I’ve been in the pool and my skin is parched, then it’s great! I’m putting this one on the back burner for now, hoping to revisit it once the temperature starts to drop.

Yehwadam Revitalizing Moisturizing Sleeping Pack ($35, 100 ml) restores moisture to skin overnight leaving it looking refreshed the next morning. It contains the same ingredients as the other two products in this range; Peony, Lotus, Safflower, Chrysanthemum, Honeysuckle, Ginsing and Goji Berry.

I really, really like this sleeping pack. I think I may even like this as much as Shiseido’s Ibuki Sleeping Mask. It goes on slightly sticky (like virtually all sleeping masks/packs) but unlike a lot of others, that feeling goes away fast. It feels crazy hydrating, I don’t stick to my pillow and I wake up looking amazing. Can’t beat the price either, it’s a total win-win!

This was my first venture into Yehwadam and I’m very happy so far. Two out of the three products I would purchase with my own money (Revitalizing Moisture Fluid & Revitalizing Moisturizing Sleeping Pack) and I’m certainly interested in trying more from the brand. If you’ve used any products from Yehwadam, I would love to hear your thoughts on them!
Till next time beauties ✌
