The Benefits of Rosehip oil – Featuring Rio Rosa Mosqueta discovery set (sponsored)

Rosehip oil is one of my favourite plant oils for use on my skin. Packed with omega fatty acids and antioxidants, it helps repair, protect and replenish the skin. It’s an ingredient that has been used centuries across different civilisations, including by the Egyptians.

Rosehip is also a brilliant choice for sensitive and redness prone skin, unlike essential oils which are the fragrant oils derived from plants, rosehip oil is extracted from the seeds of wild rose bushes and is gentle and nourishing.

Rosehip oil is one of the go to natural ingredients for fading marks and scars, with several clinical studies showing its effectiveness. It is a fantastic ingredient to include in your routine long term and a great alternative to harsher treatments that will inevitably have unwanted side effects.

When you are shopping for rosehip oil you should look for brands that use cold pressed oils rather than methods using heat, as that can degrade the nutrients in the oil making it less effective.
Rio Rosa Mosqueta Rosehip Discovery set – £12.95

If you are new to rosehip oil or you are looking to try a new brand, Rio Rosa Mosqueta offers a lovely discovery set, featuring three of their bestsellers in handy travel sizes. They use rosehips from wild rose bushes that grow high in the Chilean Andes and the oil is of course cold pressed.

Products included in the set:

Cream cleanser – I am a huge fan of creamy cleansers for a gentle but thorough option for the skin. The Rio Rosa Mosqueta creamy cleanser is one I have spoken about before and offers brilliant value for money. It is a perfect choice for easily irritated skin as it has no added essential oils. As well as rosehip, this cleanser is loaded with other beneficial plant oils and butters, such as shea butter, babassu oil and avocado oil. It’s very easy to use, simply massage on the dry skin and rinse, or use with a warm cloth. This cleanser will remove make up and leave skin feeling fresh and nourished.

Rosehip oil – Containing just 100% rosehip, this very cute little bottle is a really versatile product. It has a golden colour and sinks quickly in to the skin. I like to use this one of two ways, massage in to slightly damp skin and follow with your usual day or night cream, or add a few drops to your moisturiser to make it more nourishing and add extra benefits.

Anti-ageing Day and Night cream – With glycerine to hydrate, as well as white tea and shea butter this moisturiser is a lovely choice to soften and protect the skin. It keeps my skin hydrated all day under make up and is fantastic for soothing dry patches of skin. When using this at night I simply add more product to the skin, to really replenish it after a long day.

All the products in this kit are suitable for vegans and are 100% natural. Rio Rosa Mosqueta products all work together to create a gentle but effective routine and this is a gorgeous set to gift to someone who loves skincare. Do you use rosehip oil in your routine?

Coconut Oil for Stretch Marks + 13 More Beauty Uses

by Lina Clémence July 25, 2025
written by Lina Clémence

While coconut oil is most commonly considered a cooking oil, consisting of the fat pressed from the coconut, it’s also long been hailed for its moisturizing benefits for the skin and hair. I’ve initially started using it for my super dry skin, and I couldn’t say enough good things. It feels heavenly, and the light coconut scent makes me feel like I’m hanging out at a tropical beach.

It’s particularly beneficial for pregnant women. I have been religiously rubbing it over my ever-growing belly to prevent stretch marks (and help the old ones) when I was pregnant and I can say for sure that using coconut oil for stretch marks is effective! It also helps relieve some of that itching as the skin stretches. Scroll down for some more beauty benefits of coconut oil.

Beauty Review: 5 Reasons I Love Conscious Coconut Oil

by Lina Clémence June 2, 2025
written by Lina Clémence

Photos by @thisjenngirl

We already know that coconut oil is life, so I’m not here to sell you on its various benefits, but I was recently gifted some Conscious Coconut Oil (AKA CoCo) and I’m loving it, y’all!

Not only is this a line of quality products that yield exceptional results, but they are rooted in charity that helps people and our planet!

Here are 5 reasons why I absolutely adore Conscious Coconut as a brand and why you should try their products ASAP!

1. They create clean, eco-friendly, quality products that work!

These products are fantastic! They’re certified organic, are cold-pressed and virgin and are made in small batches without the use of machinery. As a result of this, CoCo is never exposed to any harsh or toxic chemicals.

Yasss!! I use it as makeup remover, to help with my toddler’s eczema and on my skin and hair.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

3. Conscious Coconut empowers people with disabilities through employment opportunities.

They empower people with disabilities right here in Tampa, FL by partnering with Macdonald Training Center (MTC). MTC provides employment placement services to adults with many challenges, including hearing impairments and other physical or cognitive disabilities. MTC packages their finished coconut oil and serves as their fulfillment center to the rest of the country.

4. Every purchase made, helps feed a child.

Conscious Coconut donates a meal to a child in need via a partnership with Feeding America for every meal sold. I didn’t realize how large the number was, but nearly 16 million kids in the US go hungry everyday. 💔
It’s certified through Fair Trade USA, which ensures fair working conditions for their farmers in the southern Philippines and packaging factories in China.

5. It’s easy to travel with.

Their packaging is TSA-certified which is super-clutch since I travel often for work and pleasure. And they have sustainable packaging. You can snag some of your own here!

Have you tried Conscious Coconut oil products before? What are your thoughts?

Ciao Bellas,

Introducing the Dabur Herbolene Natural Oil Jelly with Shea Butter – The Tezzy Files

by Lina Clémence May 31, 2025
written by Lina Clémence

Petroleum Jelly has been a beauty must-have for generations. This multi-purpose balm that keeps chapped lips at bay, smoothens out cracked heels, and restores smooth, supple skin to elbows and shins has received a great deal of slack over the years, and for good reason too. Despite its versatility, the petroleum component of Petroleum Jelly makes it harmful for the skin.

Iconic Indian wellness brand Dabur has released a star product under the Herbolene range. Introducing the Dabur Herbolene Natural Oil Jelly with Shea Butter. This innovative product has the thick, ultra-moisturizing properties and versatility of traditional Petroleum Jelly minus the harmful petroleum. It is also a remarkably non-greasy formula, and is made of 100% natural, skin-loving ingredients including castor seed oil, beeswax, coconut oil and shea butter.

This lovely product has a sweet, aromatic scent and as it is made of natural ingredients, the skin laps it up with no greasy mess at all.

Enjoy supple, baby-soft skin with the Dabur Herbolene Natural Oil Jelly (also available in an Aloe Vera variation). This product is easily available across all major supermarkets in the UAE, and costs AED 16 a tub. Bargain deal!
