We already know that coconut oil is life, so I’m not here to sell you on its various benefits, but I was recently gifted some Conscious Coconut Oil (AKA CoCo) and I’m loving it, y’all!

Neurotoxins in Aesthetic Medicine: A Comparative Review of Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, and Jeuveau

Introduction


Botulinum neurotoxins have become essential tools in both therapeutic and aesthetic medicine. Derived from Clostridium botulinum, these neuromodulators inhibit acetylcholine release at neuromuscular junctions, resulting in temporary muscle paralysis. Clinically, this effect is used to reduce the appearance of dynamic wrinkles, particularly in the upper face. Four major botulinum toxin type A formulations are commonly used in aesthetic dermatology: onabotulinumtoxinA (Botox®), abobotulinumtoxinA (Dysport®), incobotulinumtoxinA (Xeomin®), and prabotulinumtoxinA-xvfs (Jeuveau®).

This review explores the molecular differences, pharmacodynamics, diffusion characteristics, immunogenicity, clinical outcomes, and emerging considerations in long-term use of these products.

Mechanism of Action

All botulinum toxin type A formulations function by blocking presynaptic release of acetylcholine via cleavage of SNAP-25, a key SNARE protein required for vesicle docking and neurotransmitter release. This inhibition prevents muscle contraction and leads to temporary denervation. Though each product shares this mechanism, variations in molecular structure and formulation result in different clinical behaviors.

The onset of action typically occurs within 2 to 7 days post-injection, with peak effects at approximately 2 weeks, and duration of action generally lasting 3 to 5 months depending on formulation, dosage, and muscle mass.

Xeomin® is considered a “naked” neurotoxin as it lacks complexing proteins, which may reduce the risk of immunogenicity. The presence of these accessory proteins in other formulations does not affect clinical efficacy but may influence immune response and product stability.

Diffusion and Spread Characteristics

Diffusion is a critical factor in determining efficacy and potential side effects. Dysport® is thought to have a broader spread due to its lower unit potency and molecular configuration. However, diffusion is not solely dependent on the toxin itself but also on dose, injection technique, muscle anatomy, and dilution practices. New imaging techniques such as electromyography and three-dimensional mapping are being studied to quantify diffusion zones with more precision.

Potency and Dose Conversion

There is no direct unit-to-unit equivalence among neurotoxins:

  • Botox:Dysport is often approximated as 1:2.5–3
  • Botox:Xeomin is considered 1:1
  • Botox:Jeuveau is also considered 1:1 based on current evidence

These conversions are based on clinical studies and are not interchangeable at a molecular level due to proprietary manufacturing processes and potency assays.

Duration and Clinical Efficacy

Clinical duration of effect is influenced by patient metabolism, treatment area, and product used. Meta-analyses have shown comparable efficacy across all four products, though some patients may perceive longer duration or smoother onset with one over another due to formulation characteristics.

A 2019 head-to-head trial (Prager et al.) comparing Botox and Jeuveau found no statistically significant difference in wrinkle reduction outcomes at 30 days post-treatment. Longer-term comparative trials are limited and needed to evaluate sustained efficacy and recurrence timing.

Immunogenicity and Neutralizing Antibodies

One clinical concern is the development of neutralizing antibodies that reduce efficacy. Xeomin®, which lacks complexing proteins, may present a lower immunogenic risk. While the incidence of antibody-mediated resistance is low in aesthetic applications due to infrequent dosing, higher cumulative dose exposure—such as for therapeutic uses or high-frequency cosmetic treatments—may increase immunogenic potential. Studies suggest that minimizing protein load and extending treatment intervals may mitigate risk.

Storage and Handling

  • Botox and Xeomin can be stored in a refrigerator before reconstitution.
  • Jeuveau and Dysport also require refrigeration but have varied stability profiles post-reconstitution depending on diluent and temperature.
  • Studies comparing shelf stability suggest that Xeomin may be more thermally stable due to its formulation without complexing proteins.

Regulatory and Manufacturing Differences

Each neurotoxin is manufactured using proprietary processes, which may affect purity, potency, and immunogenicity. For example:

  • Botox is produced by Allergan (AbbVie) in the U.S. using a crystalline preparation.
  • Dysport is manufactured by Ipsen in Europe with a lyophilized powder.
  • Xeomin is produced by Merz in Germany using chromatographic purification.
  • Jeuveau is manufactured by Evolus via Daewoong Pharmaceutical in South Korea using a 900 kDa complex similar to Botox.

These differences, while subtle, contribute to physician preferences and may influence clinical selection based on treatment context and patient response history.

A Note on Clinical Practice

Clinics across North America increasingly personalize neurotoxin selection based on patient goals, previous response, and injection history. Ongoing comparative research, long-term safety studies, and improved standardization in potency assays are essential to further advancing the science of neuromodulation.

Fable & Mane Volumizing Shampoo and Conditioner Review

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I think my experience with Fable & Mane Volumizing Shampoo and Conditioner is one of ‘great brand, wrong product’. The Volumizing formula just wasn’t right for my hair and while this brand focuses on age old Indian hair secrets, the promise of soft, bouncier and fuller hair just didn’t happen for me.

There’s a pre-shampoo hair oil that I am really looking forward to using and instinctively feel that it will be great for my bleached hair, but in this instance, not only was there no volume to speak of, it also looked rather dull. Annoying. To make hair products do some form of amplifying, you need to use ingredients that directly impact the hair shaft or contribute to the appearance of volume – typically hydrolyzed ingredients and indeed this does contain hydrolyzed rice proteins which can adhere to the hair shaft to make it look thicker than it really is, but the bulk of the INCI is very typical and usual hair cleansing ingredients. I also have questions on why a shampoo and conditioner are exactly the same price when the ingredients are different – my instinct tells me it’s more expensive to create a conditioner than a shampoo purely because the ingredients are richer.

The scent is delicious – the father of the founders (siblings Akash and Niki) worked for Jean Patou so early on, the pair realized that getting a nose to create the fragrance for the products was key in marking out a difference. It’s a delicate, petal-like scent with clean notes that genuinely adds to the wash experience. I’d recommend Volumizing for thin or oily hair, not for dry and bleached hair like mine. I can’t help feeling that what these products needed was some silicone – they’re a silicone free brand. At £28 per bottle, I’d consider this a luxury buy and I want to have better experience with the brand. Watch this space for a review of the pre-shampoo oil. You can find Fable & Mane HERE.

Not only do I find this shade compliments my fair skin-tone but the pigmented yet soft diffused colour really brightens the complexion. I know I will be reaching for this lipstick a lot! 

Luscious Red – If you want to make a statement then this is the shade for you. This deep yet bold red is another complex booster that I have found to brighten my overall complexion. With buildable coverage, I feel this is a wonderful versatile red – when dabbed onto the lips it can easily become a fun daytime look yet when paired with the matching Meroda Cosmetics Luscious Red Signature Lip Pencil and applied directly from the bullet you have a much more dramatic evening look that has great staying power. 

Grape Galore – Described by Meroda as a bold purple, Grape Galore is easily my favourite shade for the upcoming colder months. While this is another statement shade the coverage again can be adjusted to suit the occasion. With its warm undertones, I feel this will also compliment all skin tones and give a healthy glow against the skin. 

Perfect Nude – You truly can’t go wrong with a nude lipstick, can you? This neutral-toned nude is another everyday favourite for me now as whatever my makeup look it never fails to look anything other than perfect. The velvet matte formula gives this nude a soft natural finish that I think most people will appreciate.

Lipstick Application 

As the name suggests these gorgeous lipsticks offer a velvety matte finish which on application instantly impressed me as while they are highly pigmented they simply glide over the lips making application beyond effortless. 

Comfortability-wise this range feels almost feather-like on the lips thanks to the addition of some nourishing ingredients and while offering a soft matte finish which never feels drying I’m very pleased to report. 

As for longevity, when paired with Meroda Cosmetics Signature Lip Pencil a defined long-lasting bleed-free lip look is created, ideal if you are going to an event or want a truly polished look. I must say the wear time for these lipsticks has thoroughly impressed me!

Overall Thoughts 

As mentioned I am quite the lipstick addict, which does mean I can be quite critical with an arsenal of lipsticks to compare against. However, I truly have only positive things to say about this range – I find the minimal shade range precise and uncomplicated (each shade has its time and place which I love!). The formulation has been thoughtfully crafted to provide a nourishing, soft feel containing ginger extract that also manages to last the day. As for the chic packaging, I can’t get enough of the satisfying magnetic close of the lipsticks and the concealed mini sharpener to the end of each lip pencil – ingenious!

Product Review: Organique by Olinda Spring Whitening Skincare

The entire world is hopping onto the organic skincare trend, and for good reason. Products that are organic are safe for the skin, less likely to irritate sensitive skins, and gentle, yet effective. Today I’m reviewing a range of organic whitening products, so if you’re looking for bright, luminous, clear skin – you’re in the right place (or at least, reading the right article). Here we go.
Product

Organique by Olinda Spring is a skincare brand that formulates their products using the natural spring waters of Olinda, in Mt. Dandenong, Australia. The waters are not only naturally filtered and pure, they’re also mineral rich and supposedly good for health and highly beneficial to your skin. They’ve been making waves in Australia and beyond with their effective, natural, and affordable skincare, and they have, happily, reached Malaysian shores.
I received their entire whitening range. In this Whitening range there is the Gentle Cleanser, Multi-Active Toner, Facial Serum, Day Care Lotion, and Eye Cream. The range utilises Magnolia extract – high in antioxidants, anti-inflammatory, and prevents UV-induced pigmentation.
I have been using and testing the products over the past 3 weeks. My skin at the beginning of my trial was pretty good – dehydrated, but clear and even. I did have freckles and sun spots around my cheekbones and temples, and I was hoping to reduce their appearance with continued use of this range.
Packaging

What struck me immediately about Organique’s packaging was the high quality, despite the product’s price point. The bottles are made of a beautiful frosted glass and have the weight and feel of a luxury product. The pumps and covers all function beautifully and smoothly, and in these 3 weeks of use their functionality has remained top notch. I was incredibly pleased and impressed.
Performance
As is expected when you receive an entire range, I used all the products together in my daily skincare routine, only swapping out the day cream for a heavier, more hydrating moisturiser (the one I was using daily before trialling this range) at night.


The cleanser is foaming but doesn’t give you the kind of crazy foam that you get from most – I personally prefer this because I feel it doesn’t strip the skin as much.

I expected the lotion and day cream to be heavy and sticky, but they were both very lightweight and absorbed into the skin very quickly. My entire experience using the range was delightful and refreshing. The eye cream was slightly heavier, but still very lightweight, and almost felt like a heavier serum instead of a cream. This range is mildly scented, but I found it quite pleasant and the smell disappeared pretty quickly after application.
Verdict

After my 3 weeks of use, I’ve found that my skin is brighter and more luminous – there is this glow about it when it’s photographed, and my skin is less flaky in the dry areas around my cheeks and mouth. I haven’t noticed a significant reduction in the darkness of my freckles and sun spots, though I do think this range is much more effective at preventing the development of new spots than it is for removing pre-existing spots.
In my opinion, this is a beautiful starter range for anyone looking to begin an affordable, complete whitening skincare routine. It covers all the bases – great value for money, good hydration, good protection for the skin. If you’re looking to solve a more serious pigmentation problem, you might want to look at more extreme options instead (e.g. laser or peeling treatments).

     Kemasan cushionnya pun sama, hanya berbeda di warnanya. Kemsannya sangat simple tapi bentuknya gemes banget kalau menurutku, ringan juga dan ngga terlalu bulky, masih enak untuk dipegang dan dibawa dalam tas. Pada bagian dalam cushion sudah terdapat puff dan isi cushion, lengkap juga dengan kacanya.

     Uniknya, cushion ini sangat mudah lho untuk diganti isinya dengan refill baru. Pan cushionnya cukup diputar sedikit lalu diangkat dan nanti dimasukkan refillnya sesuai dengan bolongan kecil yang terlihat pada kemasan, ngga ribet kalau mau refill. Plus, bisa disesuaikan sama tangan kita (right or left handed). Jadi cara masukkin refillnya bisa disesuaikan dengan kenyamanan tangan saat megang cushionnya (lihat di gambar titiknya ada dua? tinggal disesuaikan aja mau diletakkan di mana)! Good job sih untuk kemasannya.

     Well, packaging wise kedua cushion LANEIGE ini sangat mirip ya, emang beda di warna aja. Tapi untuk puff nya sendiri ternyata berbeda! Yang NEO Glow puff-nya sekilas terlihat seperti standar pada cushion umumnya, tapi memiliki teknologi “air hole” puff dengan 21 lubang udara agar pengaplikasian formula lebih lembut dan merata. Sementara untuk yang matte menggunakan puff teknologi baru dengan “air pocket” puff yang memiliki celah-celah pada puff nya untuk membantu penyerapan dan pengeluaran formula dengan lebih merata.

Ambil cushion dengan spons atau puff, aplikasikan ke wajah dan ratakan. Tepuk halus cushion pada kulit agar tahan lama. Untuk menebalkan lapisan, aplikasikan berulang kali.

     Jadi ini sebenarnya shade yang sama ya seharusnya, sama-sama 23 N (sand), tapi as you can see, untuk NEO Glow shadenya lebih terang sedikit ya dibanding yang NEO Matte. Plus aku coba selama 15 menit untuk lihat oksidasi, yang Matte terasa lebih menggelap sedikit dan yang Glow masih mendekati swatch yang fresh. Tapi tenang, menggelapnya ngga parah dan di wajah hasilnya tetap bagus ngga bikin dekil.

     Seperti yang aku bilang sebelumnya, dibanding shade no.23 yang versi LANEIGE BB Cushion yang dulu aku gunakan, ini masih lebih light sih jatohnya, tapi masih cocok untuk kulit medium light seperti kulitku. Ngga bikin wajah greyish juga, wajah jatohnya lebih cerah dan makin lama ngeblend dengan baik dengan kulit, berlaku untuk kedua cushionnya.

     Ini perbandingan saat aku pakai cushionnya secara bersamaan. Kalian bisa lihat kalau ngga terlalu jauh ya beda shadenya saat sudah diaplikasikan. Yang NEO Matte hasilnya semi matte (masih ada glowing naturalnya) dan yang NEO Glow emang glowing banget kaya kulit mbak-mbak korea di iklan skincare (kalau kalian sempat liat story instagram aku pasti ngeh deh glowing bangettt), aku love!

     Ini aku uji cobanya hanya pemakaian di dalam ruangan, tanpa AC, dan tidak bergerak aktif. Keringetan, tapi ngga berlebihan. In fact aku ketiduran ngga lama setelah foto yang ‘freshly applied’ hahaha, yhaa sekitar 1-2jam lah. Untung bersih ngga ada yang nempel di sarung bantal, mana lagi pakai sarung bantal putih. Tapi jadi keliatan, kalau cuma ke tempel cukup aman yaa alias cukup transferproof, ngga meninggalkan jejak pada bantal hehe. Padahal pas bangun agak keringetan lho, karena ac ngga hidup.

     Ini yang sisi NEO Glow, kalian bisa lihat jadinya glowing banget kalau di aku, tapi somehow looks natural, kaya kulit glowing sehat gitu lho. Suka banget sama tampilannya, sayang kulitku oily, jadi ngga bisa digunakan dalam jangka waktu yang panjang. Terlihat di 4.5 jam udah mulai pudar ya, tapi masih bagus sih, masih cukup coverage juga.

     Ini sisi yang matte, dibanding yang Glow, terlihat ya yang matte masih lebih prima kalau di kulit oily ku. Coveragenya juga masih bagus dan kulit tetap glowing walaupun ke arah matte. So far ngga terlihat cracking ya, jadi formulanya emang light banget sih menurutku untuk ukuran matte cushion.

     Karena ini keringetannya ringan aja dan aku ngga banyak kegiatan saat wear test ini, aku coba test juga dengan basuh menggunakan air ya. Berikut hasilnya:

     Keliatan ya kalau cuma basah cushionnya masih aman banget, baik yang LANEIGE NEO Cushion glow maupun matte. Di tap-tap pakai tisu juga cuma airnya yang menyerap, tapi cushionnya masih cukup bagus di kulitku. Oya, ini kelupaan di foto, tapi pada awal aplikasi aku coba blotting pakai tisu, dan hasilnya yang matte ngga nempel at all (cukup transferproof), sementara yang glow ada nempel sedikit sekali, very light hampir tidak terlihat. Ini kayanya yang bikin aku unonciously cukup berani rebahan di sarung bantal putih lol.

     Meanwhile yang ada di foto; terlihat di foto pertama mulai ada yang menempel tapi dikit banget (karena wajahku udah mulai berminyak ya saat itu, udah 4.5jam pemakaian, jadi wajar). Sementara di foto kedua tidak ada yang menempel, hanya air dari sisa basuh wajah. Dan di foto ketiga, setelah wajah kering aku tap-tap lagi dan itu terlihat ya ada yang menempel sedikit baik yang matte maupun yang  glow. Tapi untuk ukuran udah 4.5jam dan dibasuh sama air, ini masih bagus banget ya performanya di kulitku. So weartest basah-basahan i guess cukup aman. Yang penting saat ngeringin jangan ditarik/usap, cukup di pat perlahan aja.

     Berikut aku juga share untuk wear test masing-masing cushion secara terpisah saat keringetan (dengan kegiatan yang slightly berbeda juga yaa, ngga seperti wear test di atas yang waktunya bersamaan.) biar lebih detail hasilnya, sekalian dengan review keseluruhannya yaa.

     Jadi saat wear test ini kegiatan aku adalah indoor activities (such as nyetrika, ketiduran, netflix and chill, AC on), siangnya jemput isa sekolah menggunakan masker (AC on, dalam mobil) dan setelahnya indoor workout (tanpa AC) dan keringetannya cukup parah. Hasilnya:

  • coverage light-medium, masih cukup bagus nutupin noda kemerahan dan jerawat.
  • hasilnya glowing dan lembab banget.
  • dalam 2 jam dengan indoor activities, kelihatan masih cukup bagus ya cushionnya, karena ruangannya juga AC. Glowingnya mantep banget, tapi somehow ngga berasa greasy jadi aku suka gitu lho ngeliatnya.
  • setelah 4.5 jam mulai kelihatan luntur di beberapa daerah, tapi technically masih ada coverage dan ngga butek (setelah menggunakan masker sekitar 30 menitan) dan simple workout sekitar 15-20 menit (tanpa AC), keringetan cukup deras. Jadi kalau di kulit oily emang dia lebih cepet bubar jalan ya kayanya, apalagi kalau sambil keringetan intens dan menggunakan masker. Tapi menurutku segini aja performanya udah bagus lho kalau buat oily skin. 
  • Kalau kamu oily dan mau pakai cushion ini, saran aku untuk digunakan diruangan ber AC supaya lebih lasting. Dan menurutku yang kulitnya kering pasti bakalan suka banget deh sama cushion ini karena emang lembab banget rasanya.
  • In the end aku tetap suka banget sama cushion ini karena efek glowingnya bikin serasa artis korea lagi di iklan skincare, uwuu.

Pro:

     Awal penggunaan kegiatan ku indoor aja dan fokus di nyetrika (ruangan AC tapi cukup gerah karena nyetrika). Sisanya aku berkegiatan outdoor, seperti jemput anak sekolah dan belanja bulanan. Saat wear test cushion matte ini, cuaca emang lagi super terik banget dan itu aku belanja bulanan keluar saat siang hari bolong banget, jadi maksimal keringetannya haha. Hasilnya:

  • coverage medium-full, bagus nutupin noda kemerahan dan jerawat yang lagi inflamasi.
  • hasilnya semi matte, bagus deh masih ada natural shine nya.
  • dalam 2.5 jam dengan indoor activities, kelihatan masih bagus banget ya tampilan cushionnya, karena ruangannya juga AC walaupun agak gerah karena sambil nyetrika dan cuaca di luar juga lumayan panas. 
  • Ngga berasa greasy, kalau dipegang wajah rasanya smooth aja kaya pakai bedak dan ngga lengket.
  • setelah 5 jam mulai kelihatan luntur di beberapa daerah, terutama bagian batang hidung yang kena gesek masker selama almost 2 jam berturut-turut. Wajar banget sih, karena aku kalau makai masker emang suka gatel tangannya, jadi suka ngga sengaja nyeret maskernya buat betulin posisi. Terus cuaca juga super panas, even di dalam supermarket aku keringetan. Jadi keliatan ya dibagian yang tergesek masker memang jauh lebih pudar. 
  • Dia transferproof (kalau ditap-tap), tapi ngga rubproof ya di kulitku kalau lagi keringetan dan oil alami wajah udah mulai keluar. So far ngga ada masalah sih, wajar banget pudar karena masker yang bergesek, apalagi udah 2.5jam digunakan sebelum penggunaan masker.
  • Kalau kamu kulitnya oily bakalan cocok sih sama cushion matte ini. Tapi kalaupun kamu dry skin dan kepo mau nyoba ini aku rasa masih bagus juga kok. Soalnya dia masih cukup melembabkan walaupun ngga selembab yang glow (ini aku lihat dari performanya di ujung hidungku yang lagi muncul dry spot akibat pilek, so far aman dan ngga keliatan crack).
  • Untuk daily aku bakalan prefer ini sih, karena glownya natural, ringan di kulit, masih melembabkan dan cocok banget buat kulitku yang cenderung berminyak.


Pro:

+ dipakai panas-panasan di matahari tapi muka aku ngga merah setelahnya

– Aku juga TIDAK menggunakan bedak/setting spray maupun tambahan makeup dekoratif lainnya untuk menjaga hasil wear testnya senatural mungkin.

     To be honest, aku suka keduanya, masing-masing ada nilai positifnya sendiri saat diuji ke kulitku. Mungkin kalau aku lagi pengen extra glow aku bakalan pakai yang LANEIGE NEO Cushion Glow, sementara kalau buat daily atau tempat yang kegiatannya bikin keringetan, aku bakalan lebih milih pakai LANEIGE NEO Cushion Matte. Panda London Bedding Review: Sustainable Bamboo Bedding

I’m a big fan of Panda London and their animal and environmentally friendly ethos, so when they asked me if I’d like to try out some of their bedding, I jumped at the chance. It was hard to choose between their 100% bamboo and their French linen and bamboo options and even harder to choose from their range of colours. In the end I went for the French linen and bamboo bedding set in coconut white. So, here’s my Panda London bedding review.

What’s included in the set

I went for the full bedding set and was very pleased I did. Guaranteeing full bamboo and French linen coverage, the set includes a fitted sheet, duvet cover and two pillowcases. Perfect for a complete bedding renovation or starter set. It has a 320 thread count for extra softness.

What’s it made from

Panda’s bamboo and French linen bedding set is made from 7% French linen and 93% bamboo rayon. Not only is this great for the environment, but it makes excellent bedding too.

Environmental credentials

I’ve already mentioned how much I love Panda. It strives to do everything as sustainably as possible and this goes right back to the growing of its bamboo. Panda only uses organic bamboo from FSC-certified forests. This means no nasty chemicals for you or the animals who live near the plants, and well-managed forests that naturally renew themselves.

Let’s not forget the French linen. The linen comes from France, naturally, and the flax plant. This requires less water, pesticides and fertilizer to grow than cotton. Flax is also a naturally very strong fibre.

What I love about this combination of materials is that both are far more sustainable than cotton, my usual preferred bedding choice. Bamboo is super fast-growing, and both bamboo and flax need minimal water to thrive – unlike notoriously thirsty cotton. Even better, they grow well without chemicals, unlike traditional cotton farming, which relies heavily on them.

To add to this great material mix, Panda use non-toxic dyes and bamboo buttons, which are a great touch on the bedding. I particularly love that everything is OEKO-TEX certified. This is an official stamp of approval that no nasty chemicals are used and that the bedding is completely safe for you and your family.

Long lasting and durable

That’s not all. As someone who tends to keep things for a long time, especially my beloved bedding, I’m losing count of how many sheets and pillowcases I’ve had to turn into rags (or a ghost costume anyone?) because they’ve literally fallen apart. Flax and bamboo are way stronger and more durable than cotton, so I’m hoping that this set will last a lot longer.

Breathable and hypoallergenic

Bamboo and linen are naturally hypoallergenic, antibacterial and anti-static. Their moisture-wicking qualities make them highly breathable too and more resistant to dust mites. Their breathable qualities make them ideal not only ideal for those who sleep hot but means they dry quicker too, win win!

This combination of qualities also means that your non-toxic Panda bedding is odour-resistant and temperature-regulating too.

What makes Panda so great: their ethical and sustainable credentials

There are many things to applaud Panda London for, apart from its sustainable sourcing of materials. Firstly, the brand is vegan, using no animal products. Plus, by sourcing its bamboo from FSC-certified forests, animal habitats are protected too. Panda even won Peta UK’s Vegan Homeware Awards.

The brand also gives back and supports a number of charities including homeless charities Herts Young Homeless and Singles Homeless Project in addition to various others.

It also uses recycled and recyclable packaging. I was delighted to receive my package plastic-free, beautifully bound in a biodegradable Kraft paper box. The bedding itself was presented in a bamboo bag that I can reuse, rather than plastic packaging.

Finally, Panda’s Circle of Life programme means that it takes back its mattress products at their end of life. This is totally free and includes free collection. They are either refurbished and donated to charity, or the foam is repurposed and used for things like sofa padding or childrens’ playground surfaces.

Overall, I love Panda’s sustainability credentials. As of writing this article, its 2024 Impact Report was outstanding. It would be great to read this to find out more about where and how the bedding is made.

What is Panda London’s bedding like

My first impression of this bedding is how substantial it feels. That sounds like a strange thing to say but it feels heavy in my hands and more floppy and flexible than cotton. You might wonder what the 7% linen does too. Well, it adds a level of crispness to the bedding and gives it a matt finish. Great for me, I don’t like shiny.

This does mean that it doesn’t have quite the silkiness of cotton, but I’ve washed it a couple of times already and it’s definitely getting softer.

I also like the design of the pillowcases. These are unlike any I’ve seen before in that the opening is in the middle of the pillow! This means that your pillow doesn’t bulge out of one end of the pillowcase – a common problem I find.

I did think it might be a problem when turning my pillow over to sleep on the other side. However, I can honestly say that the join is so soft, you don’t feel it at all when lying on it.

The other lovely feature to Panda’s bedding is the use of bamboo buttons. These add a feeling of quality and sustainability and are really easy to open and close.

The duvet cover also comes with straps inside to tie to your Panda duvet. I have to say that I’ve not used these as I don’t have the duvet, but it’s a fab design feature. I wish all duvets and duvet covers had this!

To summarise this Panda London bedding review, it’s a super choice if you’re looking for sustainable, durable, hypoallergenic and non-toxic bedding. I went for the bamboo and French linen mix, but they have other material options and more colour choices than you can shake a stick at. I sleep cosy at night knowing that I’m engulfed in eco-friendly and kind bedding from a company that gives back.

Ga perlu baca di kotak kemasan, kita juga bisa langsung membaca HERO Ingredients atau kandungan utama pada pelembab Skintific ini. Awalnya aku berpikir kalo pelembab ini mengandung Ceramide 5 kali lebih banyak daripada brand lain, tetapi 5X disini menunjukkan bahwa produk ini memiliki 5 tipe Ceramide yang berbeda.

5X Ceramide pada Skintific:

Ceramide EOP untuk menyatukan lapisan kulit.

Ceramide AS untuk mencegah masuknya bakteri.

Ceramide NP untuk memperbaiki kekuatan lapisan kulit.

Ceramide NS untuk mengunci kadar air dalam kulit agar tetap terhidrasi.

Ceramide AP untuk menyimpan Fatty Acid di dalam lapisan epidermis kulit.

Selain itu juga dikombinasikan dengan bahan aktif lainnya seperti Hyaluronic Acid untuk melembabkan kulit, Centella Asiatica untuk menenangkan kulit yang kemerahan, Marine Collagen sebagai anti-aging.
