Yay or Nay? Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Serum

You’ll have to excuse me – I meant to post about this weeks ago, but the thing is… I have a system. I test a product, I write about it, I stop using it so I can start testing the next shiny serum in my lineup – rinse, repeat, glow (or not).

But then Shiseido Ultimune came along and totally messed with my skincare commitment issues. I didn’t want to stop using it, so I just… didn’t post. No post, no reason to move on, right? (Think like: “If I don’t define the relationship, I can still text my ex.”)

 

Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Serum – 50ml – $150, 75ml – $195, 75ml refill – $172 – This powerhouse boosts your skin’s resilience against aging and environmental damage, while serving up hydration, glow, and smoothness like it’s hosting its own Canada’s Got Talent variety show. 

 

The silky-smooth formula is basically a botanical Avengers team-up with high-tech backup, featuring:

Fermented camellia flower extract – bringing over 14 amino acids to the party to power up skin regeneration like it’s chugging collagen lattes for breakfast; Camellia seed oil – the moisturizing MVP; Camellia leaf extract – helps suppress inflammation like a therapist with a skincare license; Heart leaf extract – sounds cute, works hard, boosts skin immunity and restores rhythm (Beyoncé would approve); and of course, the brand’s own ULTIMUNE complex – like a bodyguard for your skin, slowing the aging cycle and leaving your face looking healthy, happy and suspiciously well-rested.

 

Now listen, I try a lot of serums. For most of them, I talk about texture, scent, and what they say they’re supposed to do, because I’m usually on to the next one faster than a Love Island contestant in week 2 (who are we kidding, DAY 2). But Ultimune had me locked in. I kept using it longer than I typically do, but – plot twist – I didn’t even have to, I actually saw results within a couple of weeks: more radiance, smoother texture, deeply hydrated skin and dare I say it, the fine lines around my nose? Practically ghosted me! 

 

So is it a Yay or Nay?

What Is a Highlighting Serum, Exactly?

Some skincare products, like moisturizer, are as straightforward as it gets. Moisturizer moisturizes, sunscreen defends against sun damage, you see where we’re going with this. For one, is it a highlighter, a tint, or a serum? And why would you want your serum to have highlighting benefits, anyway? Good news: We’ve got answers to this up-and-coming hybrid — plus, how (and why) you’ll want to use them.

What’s a highlighting serum?

A highlighting serum is a skincare and makeup hybrid that offers both long-term benefits of a face serum (that’s your skincare) as well as instant dewiness of a highlighter (the magic of makeup). It has its root in K-beauty, where makeup artists hack highlighting serums using other products, which isn’t always great for skin. And while some of these hybrids tend to be heavy on the highlighter, leaving behind a shimmer or shiny finish on skin, the Glow Recipe interpretation is a little subtler than that. Not only did we want a better highlighter — one that wouldn’t leave some skin tones with a gray cast, for one — but ours is also brimming with powerful skincare ingredients.

The skincare benefits of highlighting serum

Dew Drops contain powerful actives that work hard to hydrate, brighten, and even out skin tone. It also provides an instant strobing effect. If you’re looking to add something a little extra, Hue Drops is our first-ever serum with a sheer tint. It hydrates, brightens, and evens skin tone while giving a warm glow to the skin. At the same time, we’ve taken out any greasy or heavy ingredients that could make skin look too shiny (more on that below!).

Niacinamide, for one, is an antioxidant that also happens to interfere with the pigment production process in skin, thus tamping down excess pigment that otherwise contributes to dark spots and patches. It also contains — what else? — hyaluronic acid for a hit of hydration and instant plumping, as well as watermelon extract for those key vitamins and amino acids. Like traditional serums, you can layer Dew Drops or Hue Drops with other serums, such as Plum Plump Hyaluronic Serum, to target specific concerns. It’s pretty potent as a serum alone, but as a highlighting serum, it’s that much better.

The makeup benefits of highlighting serum

The biggest perk of a highlighting serum, in terms of your makeup, is that it’s so incredibly versatile. You can use it as a classic highlighter or contour to accentuate and define your features, on the center of your eyelid for a subtle shine (both are ophthalmologist tested), or mix them with foundation for a radiance boost.

You could also wear it without makeup at all for a more casual, dressed-down glow. It acts as your finisher, helping you add polish sans makeup (ideal for, say, wearing a mask when running errands). It can also give skin dimension and an extra glow before your next video call. That’s the beauty of a highlighting serum: There’s really no wrong way to use it.

While other highlighting formulas — both traditional and hybrid alike — tend to contain mica, glitter, sparkles, or light-reflecting minerals to add luminosity, ours leaves that out in favor of skincare. For that reason, it never looks greasy or shiny on skin, nor will it ever give skin a gray cast. That makes it ideal for every skin tone and skin type. 

Speaking of: Since we’re working with a lightweight, fast-absorbing formula that won’t sit on top of skin, Dew Drops and Hue Drops make it especially easy for those with oily or breakout-prone skin to glow without greasiness. Aromanya ini juara banget! Bener-bener mirip aroma perasan jeruk segar. Rasanya segar banget, seperti minum, padahal enggak!

Face mist ini warnanya oranye banget di dalam botolnya, dan kelihatannya ada partikel warna oranye juga di dalamnya. Partikel itu harus digabungkan dengan face mist dengan cara dikocok! Setelah dikocok, baru deh semprot ke muka. Nggak ada residu warna kok ketika sudah disemprot. Wajah langsung lembab~

Selain untuk menyegarkan dan menjaga kelembapan kulit wajah kamu dari gersangnya cuaca akhir-akhir ini, C-Power Face Mist bisa membantu mencerahkan kulit kamu, melindungi kulit dari efek buruk paparan sinar matahari, dan menyamarkan tampilan kerutan dan garis halus di wajah lho. Serum

Untuk C-Power Serum ini, yang pertama kali kurasain di hidung adalah aroma cengkeh yang lumayan strong. Tapi ternyata itu adalah aroma dari bunga chamomille dan cammelia yang bisa membantu mengurangi inflamasi di kulit kamu. Ada hint aroma vitamin c yang khas juga. Buatku pecinta aroma herbal dan segar, wanginya jadi menenangkan!

Warnanya agak transparan, tapi ada hint putih kekuningan. Memang nggak ada warna tambahan artificial ya di produk ini, jadi aman di kulit!

Dari segi tekstur, aku rasa serum ini teksturnya ringan banget sih. Buat yang kulitnya sensitif kayak aku, nggak usah khawatir dengan efek samping produknya. Nggak ada rasa panas, gatal, atau kemerahan. Malah, aku rasa serum ini bantu bikin kulit wajah aku nadi lebih tenang dan dingin. Ini berkat efek chamomile dan cammelia-nya kali yaa.

Selain ringan, serum ini terasa ‘licin’, glides smoothly gitu di kulit. Cocok buat pijat wajah secara ringan, dan sebentar aja. Pakainya dikit aja, karena sedikit pun bisa meng-cover seluruh wajah! Karena serumnya cukup cepat menyerap! Kulit langsung terasa plump setelah serumnya meresap.

Cara Penggunaan:

Gunakan kedua produk secara berurutan agar efeknya nggak nanggung!

C-Power Face Mist

Selalu kocok botol sebelum digunakan, posisikan Face Mist 15-20 cm dari wajah dengan mata dan mulut tertutup, lalu diamkan selama beberapa saat agar Face Mist meresap. C-Power Face Mist ini bisa digunakan kapanpun, kok!

C-Power Serum

Teteskan 2-3 tetes serum, oleskan dan pijat secara merata pada kulit wajah, diamkan beberapa saat agar serum meresap ke kulit wajah. Meski penggunaan serum nggak se-sering Face Mist-nya, tapi selalu gunakan Face Mist sebelum kamu memakai C-Power Serum, ya.

Setelah rutin menggunakan kedua produk ini,aku rasa warna hitam di kantung mataku mulai memudar, dan hiperpigmentasi sekitar pipiku juga mulai hilang dalam waktu sekitar 2-3 mingguan. Garis-garis kerutan di sekitar wajah juga seperti dihapus pakai penghapus gitu. Hilang meski ada bekasnya sedikit. Kulitku juga jadi terasa lebih lembab dan kencang. Kalau ditanya rasanya segar atau nggak, jelas segar. Apalagi karena C-Power Face Mist-nya bisa dipakai kapanpun dan dimanapun.

b.glen c serum: Can 7.5% Vitamin C Rival 15% Formulas?

When it comes to vitamin c serums, the sweet spot is usually at around 15 to 20%. That’s where most studies have shown to deliver beneficial results, and it’s also the % used by most brands, including the famous SkinCeuticals Vitamin C.

Not everyone’s skin can tolerate 15% though, so there’s definitely a market for gentler serums, but then expectations are also lower. After all, less vitamin c, less potent results, right?

At 7.5% vitamin c, the b.glen C Serum is challenging this notion, and as usual, I’ve put my skin to the test to find out.

Overview

What is it
Concentrated, yet gentle formula to brighten dark spots, reduce the appearance of acne scars, and protect the skin from free radical damage.

Best suited for
Normal to dry skin types, especially sensitive skin folks who struggle with the higher concentrations of vitamin c but still want to stick to the ascorbic acid form. While the finish isn’t oily, combo and oily skin types may not enjoy the texture.

Ascorbic acid should need no introduction. It’s the most effective and well studied form of vitamin c, with benefits like:

  • decreasing hyperpigmentation and improving skin tone
  • increasing collagen production
  • protecting our skin against free radicals like UV rays

It’s big downside is that it’s not very stable and prone to oxidization, especially in water based formulas. Luckily b.glen uses a water-free formula in a specially designed tube (see above), but most importantly, it uses a unique encapsulation technology that prevents the vitamin c from degrading, even after a year of using the product!

Liposomes and QuSome Technology

Now our skin naturally is designed to keep things out, both bad and good, so figuring out how to get ingredients into the skin is a key part of skincare formulation.

A popular method is using liposomes with ingredients like lechithin. Imagine tiny bubbles made of fats, similar to the fats in our skin. These bubbles surround, protect, and stabilize the active ingredient, and because they’re so similar to our skin, they can easily pass through and go deeper, bringing the active ingredient along with them.

QuSome Technology, developed by Dr. Brian Keller, uses nano-sized liposomes (between 70-150 nm) to deliver ingredients precisely where they are needed. While liposomes themselves aren’t anything new, QuSome improves upon the traditional methods by:

  • demonstrating higher penetration capabilities
  • efficiently encapsulating both water-soluble (e.g., Vitamin C) and oil-soluble (e.g., Vitamin A) ingredients
  • having the versatility to either enhance or reduce skincare penetration, where the latter would be ideal in sunscreen formulas
  • maintaining stability in various formulations (eg. liquid, emulsion, and cream)

Thanks to QuSome, b.glen doesn’t need stabilizing ingredients like ferulic acid and vitamin e to keep the vitamin c fresh. I’ve used my tube for more than a month and the liquid still comes out clear – proof that the vitamin c has yet to break down.

Would it be nice to see other antioxidants or humectants in the formula? It’s hard to say no because we’ve been conditioned to think more = better. But b.glen’s philosophy is to deliver the best results without overcomplicating the formula, and I respect that. It’s always nice to have a minimalist alternative to all the maximalist products out there.

How I use my vitamin c serums

I’m a big proponent of using vitamin c in the morning to take full advantage of their fantastic antioxidant properties, which can help further protect our skin against UV rays (please do NOT skip sunscreen though).

  1. As with all serums, I use the b.glen C Serum after my essences and toners. If I’m pairing it with another water-based serum, I’ll use that first.
  2. A dime size is the recommended amount, though I tend to use a little less because otherwise I find it doesn’t always absorb fully into my skin. You should adjust accordingly based on your face size.
  3. Sometimes I’ll use a mist beforehand to help the serum better spread across my skin.
  4. Once absorbed, I follow up with my moisturizer and sunscreen.

Usually with other ascorbic acid serums, I don’t use any actives in the same routine. Heck sometimes I struggle when I’ve used a strong acid or retinol the night before! But the b.glen c serum is so gentle that I’ve had no issues using it, even when my skin was a little irritated from last night’s tretinoin!

Usage Experience & Results

This isn’t my first time using a waterless vitamin c, though my experiences have been a hit or miss, and I find it really comes down to the formula.

I’ve talked about b.glen’s unique QuSome formula, and while I can’t physically measure how far deep the vitamin c goes, I’ve had no issues with pilling or feeling like the product is just sitting on my skin. It absorbs fairly fast, even faster if I mist beforehand, and has layered wonderfully under all my different moisturizers and sunscreens.

The texture does take some getting used to though. It feels like an oil but isn’t moisturizing like one, and it’s not quite a gel either. Honestly it’s not my favorite, though I don’t dislike it either. Just that if you’re big on the sensorial aspect, this may not be your cup of tea.

The good news is that despite my generally poor results with ascorbic acid, I did see some slight brightening after using the b.glen c Serum for 4 weeks. Nothing major, and I tried my best to capture the difference in photos, but I’ll let you be the judge:

What impressed me most though was the fact that after 4 weeks, the serum remains completely clear. Not even the slightest hint of yellow. But that’s not even the most incredible part. I found my empty b.glen c serum from a year ago, opened up the tube, and the liquid was STILL 99% clear with very slight yellowing. I’ve had serums that looked worse right after opening!

Lastly let’s talk about the small tube size, at first it can feel more like an eye cream than a serum! However, for something with a shorter shelf life like vitamin c, a smaller amount isn’t a bad thing. Also the fine tip means I have control over exactly how much product comes out. Maybe Japanese brands are onto something with this design!

So can 7.5% vitamin c really rival 15+%?

To be completely honest, I have seen better results with higher % vitamin c serums. But I should also point out that all those serums also contained more than just vitamin c, which could be responsible for the improvements.

On the other hand, I’ve also experience worse results with plenty of high % vitamin c serums, also with other beneficial ingredients. As a matter of fact if you rank the products in my Vitamin C Database (available for free to subscribers), the b.glen c Serum is actually ranked higher than most!

So yes, a lower % vitamin c can indeed work better for the skin than higher concentrations, it all really comes down to the formula.

But to be fair, in my comparison below, I will only be discussing other ascorbic acids with very few to no other supporting ingredients.

Other Ascorbic Acid Products Compared

Lixir Vitamin C Paste
The first ascorbic acid product I tried that actually delivers results! It contains 10% vitamin c and hyaluronic acid and stings a little on application, but my skin is noticeably brighter afterwards. This one is a mask though, so not as convenient to use.

MATTER OF FACT Brightening + Firming Serum
When this was first release, they made bold claims about how they could keep their 20% vitamin c fresh with their waterless formula. While this felt gentle on the skin and did brighten my skin tone, it 1) is expensive 2) still managed to oxidize after a few weeks, and I wasn’t even close to half way done.

The INKEY List Vitamin C Serum
One of my favorite ascorbic acid formulas for its efficacy and affordability if you don’t mind mixing it with one of your existing serums (ideally a soothing/hydrating one). It’s way too strong to use on its own (30%!!) and the texture isn’t the best either.

Final Verdict

If you struggle with vitamin c oxidizing quickly, you’ll be truly impressed by the performance of this b.glen serum. Due to its single ingredient formula and unique dry oil texture, not all skin types will love this. I really see this as a product for those that appreciate a minimalist approach and gentle approach to skincare. b.glen has done a wonderful job to focus on the pure benefits of ascorbic acid, so if you know this is an ingredient that works for you, the serum is worth checking out.

Udah masuk bulan Juli aja nih yah, dan pandemi semakin parah, cuman berharap semua stay safe yah. jangan lupa konsumsi vitamin dan asupan bergizi untuk jaga daya tahan tubuh, terlebih lagi untuk kalian yang masih harus masuk kantor. 

Kali ini aku balik lagi untuk review produk dari SCARLETT WHITENING tapi sekarang aku bahas untuk wajah nih. Buat kalian yang punya masalah sama acne, merapat!! karena mungkin aja ini bisa jadi informasi yang berguna buat kalian yang juga masih struggle dengan acne tapi kepentok sama budget karena menurutku acne care dari SCARLETT WHITENING termasuk afforable banget, pas buat kantong siapapun. 

quick info, aku udah usia 29 tahun tapi iyah mukaku masih jerawatan, jujur aku sebagai pejuang acne udah mulai cape krna harusnya di usia ku udah ga jerawatan lagi tapi ternyata masih, jadi perawatannya juga harus lebih di seleksi lagi. Kulit aku acne prone, sensitive and now oily-oily skin.

sempet kondisi kulitku berubah-berubah dari oily to combination, sekarang balik lagi ke oily.

Jadi setelah seleksi (nyari tau dari ingredients) aku putusin buat coba acne care dari SCARLETT WHITENING. Sekalian aku mau upgrade skincare aku tapi tetep keep it minimalis atau kira2 yang sesuai kulit wajah aku butuhin sih. Jadi disini aku mau ajak kalian kenalan sama produk acne care mereka, yaitu:

Ini yang jadi salah satu alasan untuk aku tertarik nyobain, selain review orang-orang yang katanya bagus, disini aku mau coba buktiin sendiri sebagus itu kah seperti kata-kata orang. Tapi memang produk wajah itu cocok-cocokan yah, jadi aku mau sampein dulu kalo di aku ga cocok bukan berarti produknya ga bagus, yah berarti it’s not for me.

ACNE SERIES (acne serum, day cream dan night cream) punya manfaat untuk tentunya menghidrasi kulit serta melembabkan, membantu penyamaran pori-pori besar serta garis halus di wajah, dan paling penting membantu meredakan peradangan acne serta menyembuhkan acne kalian. ini adalah kandungan yang ada di Acne series

CM Acnatu, Poreaway, Double Action Salicylic Acid, Natural Vit C, Natural Squalane, Hexapeptide-8, Aqua Peptide Glow, dan Triceramide.

Without further ado, kita mulai review dari facial wash nya yah!

pas liat botolnya, aku langsung OMO cantik banget, tone-tone pink gitu (aku pink maniac), mana ada rose petals pink-merah gitu, botolnya pun gemes langsing kecil gitu, dengan cap buka tutup gitu.

Facial washnya udah BPOM yah 🙂

Scarlett facial wash ini punya key ingredients nya Glutathione, Aloe Vera, Rose petal dan Vitamin E. 

Claim dari Scarlett facial wash ini:

– Mencerahkan wajah

– Menutrisi dan mengecilkan pori-pori

– Mengontrol kadar minyak berlebih di wajah

– Menghilangkan beruntus dan jerawat berlebih di wajah

– Meregenerasi kulit agar keliatan lebih fresh.


Mencerahkan dari kandungan Glutathione nya, Glutathione juga membantu meratakan skintone, membantu mengurangi efek early-aging, dengan menangkal efek buruk dari radikal bebas, membantu menenangkan peradangan kulit. Glutathione juga bisa sebagai antioxidant.

kalo Aloe Vera udah pasti tau deh, si anti-inflammatory yang bagus untuk menenangkan kulit yang bermasalah. Rose petal untuk menjaga kelembaban kulit kita, dan vitamin E bagus untuk regenerasi kulit, menyamarkan kerutan dan masih banyak lainnya. 

Facial wash ini texturenya seperti gel yang bening dengan adanya butiran butiran halus warna pink dan juga kayak rose petal tapi lucunya bukan rose petal beneran, kayak jelly gitu. Ada wangi tapi subtle wanginya. Bukan type face wash yang banyak busanya tapi ga perlu pakai terlalu banyak udah cukup buat wajah dan leher, lebih kayak ke licin gitu yah.

just pour out ke tangan kalian secukupnya, jangan lupa basahin wajah dulu baru di apply gently to the face. Kalo di box bilang warm water, kalo aku awal basahin pake warm water, akhir bilas bersih pake cold water, muka bawaannya jadi lebih seger. 

~ My Opinion ~

Aku pake ini udah 2 minggu nih. I found this abit hmm.. gimana jelasinnya yah. Jadi aku ga pernah double cleansing kalo ga pake makeup biar ga terlalu ‘cleansing’ sedangkan sehari-hari cuman dirumah yang ga makeup-an gitu. When I use this facial wash 1x awal ngerasa biasa aja, tapi lately, pas hampir 1 minggu pake, I have to double wash my face, karena kayak kurang ngangkat minyak di wajah kalo cuman 1x, pas cuci 2x baru berasa bersih tapi bukan bersih keset, tapi kayak feel nya ‘akhirnya bersih ga berasa wajah berat krna masih ada minyak’ 

soalnya berasanya juga pas pake exfoliating toner dikapas tuh masih kotor, padahal air buat cuci muka tuh khusus (saking air bikin kulit muka sensitive). Pas kalo cuci nya 2x baru pas pake toner, kapasnya bersih. 

untungnya walau cara 2x cuci gitu cukup amazed ga bikin kulit kerasa ketarik or bersih keset kering gitu, menurutku tetep bantu kulit cukup bersih tanpa stripping. Cuman mungkin jadinya lebih boros aja yah >.<

untuk Oil Control nya oke sih menurutku karena sabunnya juga ga bikin bersih yang ampe keset gitu jadi ga bikin produksi oil di wajah ngelebihin yang seharusnya. 

yang pasti ga bikin wajah aku jerawatan sih, jadi ini udah cukup buat aku. untuk hal mencerahkan kulit dan ngecilin pori-pori belum keliatan sih kalo cuman pake facial wash sih. menurutku yah. tapi karena pakainya serangkai lengkap dengan serum dan cream yes, membantu 🙂

membantu membersihkan poi-pori dan mengencangkan kulit dengan kandungan utama tea tree, serta dengan adanya kandungan liquorice extract yang efektif menyamaratakan skintone yang uneven. Tidak lupa dengan kandungan salicylic acid yang bagus untuk acne dan bantu mencegah nimbulnya breakouts.

Jadi emang ini serum untuk kulit acne-prone kayak aku.

Acne serumnya udah BPOM juga yah 🙂

Sesuai infonya, acne serum ini 99,9% oil-free jadi dia cair banget kayak air, ga ada warna yah, dia bening gitu. Pas dipakai kewajah juga ga lengket atau oily dan jadinya cepat meresap/cepat kering dan bisa langsung cepet lanjut ke step berikutnya. No scent tapi dia agak bau yah menurutku tapi bukan bau gimana karena abis di pakai diwajah dia ga bau lagi. soalnya ga ada fragrance di dlm ingredientsnya.

Tutupnya gitu ada pencetannya, semacam pipet jadi bisa kalian atur berapa tetes produk yang dituang.

Teteskan 2-3 tetes serum ke tangan, apply ke wajah dan pijat perlahan sampai merata keseluruh kulit wajah. Kalo aku tetes langsung ke wajah, karena dia bentuknya kan cair yah, klo tuang ditangan agak mubazir rasanya, tumpah-tumpah, jadi lgsg pake ke wajah deh setelah toner. 

~ My Opinion ~

Frankly speaking, aku ga nyangka I would like this serum tho. Beneran oil free jadi berasa dikulit jg ga lengket dan cepet nyerap juga, feelnya light mungkin karena konsistensi nya cair like water berasa ringan habis pake serum di wajah. 2 minggu pake so far ga nyebabin breakout di mukaku yang acne-prone and also sensitive, but abis pemakaian 1 minggu, mungkin karena adaptasi juga berasa texture kulitnya agak kasar, tapi masuk minggu ke 2 mulai balik jadi normal lagi texture kulitnya

Jerawat ada aja yang nimbul yah, karena jerawatku hormon bawaannya jadi makan gorengan, tidur kemaleman, kurang minum air putih juga bisa langsung jerawatan. tapi yang penting buat aku, kulitnya ga breakout dan ga bikin jerawat parah numbuh. Selama 2 minggu pake ga ada rasa iritasi, kemerahan secara keseluruhan ada tapi pas udah selesai seminggu pake merahnya mereda, sisa redspots dari jerawat-jerawatnya yah 2 minggu menurutku masih masa adaptasi sih tapi udah 2minggu kulitku nerima baik pake serum ini cukup buat aku bilang aku cocok sama serumnya. 

untuk claim tentang bekas jerawat menurutku ehmm, aku berasanya sih bekas jerawat terutama di deket alis lumayan memudar, mungkin sedikit, cuman emang bekas jerawat susah diilangin. Kayak yang di dagu mungkin agak bandel. I still wanna see further results tho, jadi aku mau lanjutin sampe si botol mungil ini kosong kering biar aku bisa kasih update lagi nanti disini.

Now last but not least! the Creams

Percaya ga sih 2 taun lalu aku ga pernah masukin moisturizer ke skin regime aku, just because that time my skin condition is at its worst jadi pake moisturizer is somewhat too much for me. Until last year, when I decided to include that on my everyday skin regime, because I realize how important moisturizer is for the skin. Setelah itu aku ga pernah skip moisturizer. Cuman aku selalu pake moisturizer yg sama buat pagi dan malem until I try SCARLETT.

Masing-masing produk dibungkus dalam bentuk pot, ga ada spatulanya jadi menurutku agak kurang hygenis, but selama kalian selalu bersiin sebelum dan setelah pakai then it won’t be a problem sih.

tutupnya sebenernya ada cover nya diatas jadi ga langsung terekspos pas buka tutupnya.

Ada perbedaan texture dari Day cream dan Night cream nya yaitu dari texture. Day cream cenderung lebih watery dan light-feels daripada Night cream yang lebih thick dan more cream-like. Melihat dari acne-prone skin punya kulit leih cepat berminyak di siang hari, so light-weight and watery moisturizer is much appreciated.

Warnanya both white milk gitu tapi yang night cream lebih ke putih agak kuning and I think scent nya sama keduanya. Scent nya aku suka banget, mungkin for some bakal ga suka tapi aku suka banget wanginya kayak wangi herb yang calming di wajah.

For Day cream sewaktu di apply lebih cepat menyerap dibanding Night cream mungkin karena texture nya juga yah yang bisa jadi pengaruh.

~ How To Use ~

Ambil cream secukupnya, bisa dikumpulin dulu di tangan, diputer dulu baru apply ke wajah, atau kayak aku, ambil langsung apply ke wajah. Aku lebih suka cara itu sih.

Gunakan Day cream di pagi hari di step terakhir sebelum sunscreen dan gunakan Night cream di malam hari di step terakhir (kalo ada sleeping mask, pakai sebelum sleeping mask)

~ My Opinion ~

First, I love the Day cream texture more than the Night cream, mungkin karena aku biasa pake gel-like moisturizer jadi ga berat diwajah. lalu, second one, aku suka banget sama scent dari Day and Night cream ini, wangi herb yang bener-bener calming, ga strong, tapi pas di apply ke wajah scent nya masih ada, menurutku kayak bantu setelah pake serum yang bau nya agak gimana gitu.

Walau dia di pot kecil yah, isinya banyak, 2 minggu pake tapi kayak isi ga berkurang (apa cuman perasaan aja yah). 

but, yes ada tapinya, walau yang day cream nya udh cukup watery tapi dia masih bentuk cream jadi sorry that I have to say oil controlnya sangat kurang, karena by the mid if the day mukaku minyakan semua sampe, kan aku pake kacamata yah, melorot mulu kacamatanya hahaha kegiatan ku ga berat secara cuman dirumah doang. Same thing with the Night cream, pagi-pagi bangun muka rasanya beraaat banget, karena berminyak sekali. Udah dari November 2020 aku nerapin pagi ga cuci muka, cuman pake Micellar water, sekarang sejak pake night cream nya kayak ga bisa gitu, harus cuci muka, itupun kalo pake facial wash nya dari Scarlett harus cuci 2x, seperti yang aku share diatas walau 2x cuci tapi untungnya ga bikin bersih keset ketarik gitu.

Ada perubahan di wajah aku pas minggu pertama, kulit jadi kasar, aku pikir ini sih reaksi adaptasi yah jadi aku lanjut dan bener, wajahku texturenya jadi lebih halus, good thing is that ga bikin breakout, itu yang penting. Setidaknya jerawat sih kalo muncul jadi lebih cepet ciut nya. untuk kemerahan menyeluruh lumayan membantu tapi kemerahan bekas jerawat masih mayan visible. Garis halus dan pengencangan kulit belum terasa. Tekstur kulit kalo aku boleh bilang yah sperti kembali ke sebelum pakai, tapi agak lebih mending, belum kasih hasil yang bisa aku bilang wow luar biasa. Makanya aku masih mau pake sampe abis biar aku bisa kasih update lagi di wajahku.

Ini hasil Before (kanan dan atas)  dan After (kiri dan bawah) nya.

Aku cukup amazed dengan pake SCARLETT ini wajahku baik-baik aja. Bisa dibilang ada perubahan tapi ga yang signifikan karena beberapa acne spots masih ada walau memudar. Mencerahkan? lumayan yah, inget yah mencerahkan bukan berarti tambah putih yah! Biasanya wajahku lumayan bandel loh, ganti produk skincare langsung jerawatan parah, nah pake SCARLETT yang Acne Series ga bikin wajah breakout parah, walau ada perubahan texture yang jadi lebih kasar karena adaptasi produk baru tapi balik lagi ke semula setelah pemakaian 2 minggu, bahkan bsa kubilang sedikit lebih baik, keliatan di daerah jidat yah. Jerawat kecil muncul ilang itu udah biasa di aku karena emang masalah hormonal yang susah di control yah, tapi dari produknya sendiri cukup cocok di wajah aku. 

Dan yang aku lihat secara keseluruhan, active acne jadi cepet kempes yah, red spots sih tetep butuh waktu untuk ilang tapi acne nya sendiri cepet kecil, bahkan ada beberapa yang ga ninggalin bekas (mgkn bisa juga type jerawatnya yah) Seperti yang kau bilang, aku bakal lanjutin sampe abis, buat nanti aku share lagi resultnya stelah pemakaian masing-masing 1 produk, biar kalian juga bisa liat perubahan nya di aku.
