Spring Styles 2025 | Maple Holistics

by Lina Clémence August 3, 2025
written by Lina Clémence

Introduction

Spring is the season of renewal and new life, as flowers bloom all around us and mother nature wakes up from her Winter sleep. This makes it the perfect season for change and new looks. There is no better reason to spruce up your beauty routine or introduce a new hairstyle than the change of the season. It’s time to embrace spring styles, from vibrant hair colors and styles, to nail shapes and art, let’s take a look at all the hair and nail trends that sing Springtime.

Haircare

As the days get longer and the weather gets warmer, the onset of spring is the perfect time to change up your hair style and routine to suit your surroundings. From accessories to elevate your look, to trending cuts and matching colors, changing up your hair care game can help keep you looking slick and stylish this Spring.

Embrace Spring Styles with a new haircut.

Trending Haircuts This Spring

There are few better ways to embrace the new season’s beauty than with a new hair style. Whether you’re looking to add layers and texture, opt for a daring chop or to hit refresh on your current style, these are our top three trending picks for haircuts that complement the beauty of Spring.

1. The Return of the Bob

Over the past couple of years we’ve seen the return of short haircuts, and the bob in particular seems to be leading the line. The great thing about this classic look is that it can be tailored and textured to suit your individual preferences, all while giving off a stylish, elegant and chic look. You can choose to cut your hair at chin-length or opt for a longer bob, depending on your face shape. The bob offers a modern look and only requires minimal maintenance.

2. Curtain Bangs

Making the decision to switch to full bangs can be a daunting one, and although it’s a great look, curtain bangs offer a suitable alternative for those not wanting to completely change their hair style. Curtain bangs help to frame the face and highlight it’s natural features and are a stylish ans subtle way to add texture and dimension to your look. The style works on both short and long hair, making it an enticing choice for Spring.

3. Soft Curls

Nothing gives off a laid back spring vibe better than textured and tousled curls that seem to flow effortlessly. Soft curls create the appearance of beachy waves which has become a popular look over the warmer months of the year. They can add volume and movement to your hair, and can easily be achieved with a curling iron or by allowing your hair to air dry naturally. We recommend using a sea salt spray to enhance your curls, without having to add too much product.

Bloom This Spring With Vibrant Hair Colors

Spring offers the opportunity to embrace vibrant shades and hues, and to experiment with new colors that can make a bold statement. Embrace the colors of spring and stand out of the crowd with our top 3 picks for the new season.

1. Soft Pastels

Pastel pinks, minty green and lavender hues are all making a splash this Spring. These vibrant shades complement the blooms of spring perfectly and can help add a unique, dreamy touch to your locks. The great thing about soft pastel colors is that they can be introduced as highlights or streaks, ensuring you can still show off some color, without having to fully dye your hair.

2. Earthy Neutrals

If you’re not a fan of bright colors and prefer to sport a more natural look, then earthy neutrals like soft browns and warm beiges are perfect for Spring. When choosing an earthy color for your hair, it’s important to opt for a shade that matches your skin tone and helps enhance your features. These tones can create a grounded and calming look, all while allowing you to feel refreshed and renewed.

Earthy natural colors can complement the spring season.

3. Bright Bold Shades

If you’re feeling brave this season, then you should consider choosing a bright, bold shade which can help reflect the image of adventure and individuality. The bright colors that are turning heads this season include electric blue, vibrant pinks and purples, as well as fiery reds which exude confidence and style. Once again, they can be tailored to suit your preferences, with highlights and streaks still showcasing your adventurous spirit without the need for fully dyeing your hair.

Hair Accessories To Elevate Your Spring Look

When it comes to hair accessories, the options are endless. Accessories can help to completely transform your look without the need for transforming your current hairstyle or color. This Spring we chose our top 3 hair accessories from a  range of subtle and delicate accessories to bold, statement pieces.

There are so many hair accessories to choose from.

1. Silk Scrunchies

Not only do silk scrunchies help reduce frizz, breakage and damage, but they also allow you to secure and protect your hair without the hassle. They can be used in your hair to create both a laid-back look, or to add a touch of sophistication. Plus they come in a range of colors, sizes and patterns so they can be tailored to match your preferences perfectly.

2. Colorful Barettes

These sleek, metallic clips are making a major comeback in 2025, most likely due to their ability to add versatility and elegance to your current hair style. Whether you’re adding them to a half-up, half-down look or securing a section of hair, colorful barrettes will bring an extra element of fun to your spring style.

3. Floral Hairclips

These are an unavoidable hair accessory for our flower lovers this Spring. Frankly, there are few better ways to celebrate spring’s blooms than by adding a floral hairclip to your updo. If you’re looking to add a floral hairclip to your look, you can choose from subtle daisies to whimsically oversized flowers depending on your style. They are the perfect complement of the season and are becoming exponentially popular.

Nails

Styling your nails to match the new season can be a great way to embrace the blooms of springtime and highlight your unique personality. Whether you’re a minimalist or someone who enjoys bold beauty statements, your nails also deserve their place in the limelight this Spring.

Embrace the season with a new shade of color for your nails.

Trending Springtime Nail Art

Tending your nails can be a form of self-care, and you can even take this further by adding your own unique artistic flare with nail art. From modern looks, to glamorous 3D nail art, to smooth metallic finishes, the sky is the limit when it comes to painting your nails.

1. Chrome and Metallic Finishes

Sleek and modern, chrome and metallic finishes are on the rise in 2025. Popular colors include silvers and golds, which trap the light and reflect it back for a beautiful shine and glamorous look. The shiny appearance helps create a sense of high-fashion whether you’re on a casual outing or getting dolled-up for a special occasion. You can choose to go for a full chrome or metallic finish, or simply add accents to your nails depending on your preferences.

2. 3D Nail Art

In the world of nail care, 3D nail art may seem a little out there, but it’s actually a great way to highlight your personality. You can add floral accentuations or add intricate geometric patterns that are perfect for complementing the beauty of Spring. While these nails require a little extra time and care to perfect, the end result is totally worth it. These miniature designs can add depth, texture and a sense of creative accomplishment to your Spring look.

3D nail art.

3. Velvet Glass Nails

Both trendy and sophisticated, using a velvet nail polish can help create a matte-like finish that is bold and elegant. The velvet look can give your nails a soft look that is not too harsh on the eyes, yet still showcases a radiant shine. Whether you choose deep, moody tones for a dramatic spring vibe or pastel hues for a soft, romantic look. This technique can also be customized with nail art, like fine lines or geometric accents, to give your nails a personalized, artistic touch.

Nail Care In The Season of Blooms

Much like your skin, your nails may require care that is specific to the current season, and the Spring season is no different. By implementing the following tips, you’ll be able to keep your nails in excellent shape and ensure that they stay elegant and beautiful.

1. Keep Your Nails Hydrated

While Winter is the worst month in terms of low-humidity, Spring also lacks moisture in the air, which can leave your nails feeling dry and brittle. This makes them more exposed to splitting and breakage. Keep your nails hydrated by regularly using a cuticle oil, or applying a hand cream to your skincare regimen in order to keep your nails strong and healthy.

2. Beware of The Sun’s UV Rays

Woman running in the sunlight

The sun can wreak havoc on your skin and nails.

The sun wreaks havoc on our hair and skin, but the fact is that it can do the same to our nails. Prolonged exposure to the sun can cause your nails to turn a yellowish-color, and also lead to brittle nails. The best way to avoid this is to apply a UV protectant to your nails once you’ve applied your preferred nail polish or gel. Finally, apply sunscreen to your nails and hands to protect them and ensure they stay radiant all Spring long.

3. Enrich Your Diet for Nail Care

The best way to protect your nails is to eat a nutrient-rich diet and give your nails the ingredients needed to flourish from the inside-out. Biotin, found in foods like eggs, nuts, and whole grains, is particularly known for strengthening nails and preventing breakage. Omega-3 fatty acids, found in fish like salmon, can help keep your nails hydrated and glossy. By focusing on a nutritious diet, you can give your nails the best foundation for optimal beauty.

Conclusion

Spring is all about embracing change, and there’s no better time to refresh your beauty routine than now. From stunning haircuts to vibrant hair colors, soft curls, and stylish accessories, there are endless ways to transform your look and celebrate the season with trending spring styles. The same goes for your nails, whether you’re rocking bold metallics, intricate 3D art, or sophisticated velvet glass nails, this season offers the perfect opportunity to express your creativity. With these fresh, stylish ideas, you’re ready to bloom this season and showcase your unique personality with confidence.

The Sézane Spring Edit – The Anna Edit

by Lina Clémence July 28, 2025

…and why I’m adding the Wills Jacket in suede to my wardrobe.

This post contains ad affiliate links (denoted by a ‘*’) & gifted items (denoted by ‘ad – gifted). You can read my full disclaimer here.

*This post contains a collaboration with Sezane & gifted products

I have really taken my colour anaylsis on board and I’m trying to find a way to tranisition my ‘rich, deep and muted‘ colour brief into spring in a way that still feels like me but gives a nod to current season. Mustard yellow! Deep chocolates! And of course a sprinkling of animal print. You’ll find it all here in my latest edit. Sézane is such a good place to head for a spring refresh because whilst they have all the floaty silhouettes and floral fits, they also have a great range of muted colours that can ease even the most neutral loving amoung us into embracing just a bit of colour. So here I’ve put together an edit of my favourites from their new-in page and the standout pieces that I’d recommend adding to your shopping list…

SHOP THE SÉZANE SPRING EDIT

THE SPRING ESSENTIALS

Will Jacket* – I’d been banging on about this jacket since I saw it online in two new suede colourways. I’ve been a fan of the original jacket in washed black denim for a while, but the suede is where it shines. Wear it buttoned up as your shirt or over the top of thinner layers. It was a toss-up for me between the khaki and the mustard, but the buttercream yellow just edged ahead for the fact that I don’t own anything like it in my wardrobe. If you’re like me and love a neutral, this is a good way to ease yourself into colour because the tone is muted and rich it feels neutral-adjacent plus it looks so classic with a cream trouser or light-wash denim. I’d recommend going a size up from your usual for a more jacket-like fit, or go for your normal size if you want to wear it as more of a shirt.

Mateo Trousers* – Another area where I’ve been lacking in my wardrobe is in the trouser department. I don’t like anything with too much volume on the front as I feel like they swamp me, but sometimes it’s nice to have a more formal trouser to turn to. Sézane do this genre of trouser SO WELL. If you’re in need of a bottom-half option that could work in an office, or for a nice evening event, but could be thrown on with flip-flops and an oversized jumper at the weekend then look no further. And I cannot even begin to tell you how perfectly they fit (I went with the sizing advice on the website to size down and they were so right!). I really like the formula of wearing them with something more casual on top like the Will Jacket. OBSESSED with this combination.

Ciara Trousers* – If you’re a Substack girlie then you would have seen all the flared cropped trouser discourse, and these are such a great option if you’re in the market. The fit is close but the fabric has a nice amount of stretch to it, whilst still being thick making them another good work option. But they are also comfy enough for a working-from-home day too. I love the Audery Hepburn feel of them with a ballet flat (why not make it fun with these leopard print ones*?) and an oversized shirt. But I can seriously vouch for just how comfy they are, and that we love to see.

Kyle Cardigan* – How cute is this!? Sometimes it’s just nice to have something with a bit of feminine flair for spring, especially when you don’t fancy doing the whole floral thing. I’ve worn it buttoned-up here, but on the Sézane site it’s styled in a more relaxed way, unbuttoned with baggy trousers, and it looks just as cute. I could see me wearing this well into the warmer summer months, unbuttoned a little, but with a pair of linen wide leg trousers with the Romie bag thrown over my shoulder (see below!).

Romie Basket* – Now this bag isn’t pictured here as I spotted it after I’d shot everything, BUT, I’m a big fan of the original Romie bag (seen below in the snakeprint), and now it comes in natural raffia?! Sign me up. I love a bag in a structured shape with a loose and summery texture, and this just ticks all those boxes. And don’t just reserve it for the height of summer. Wear it now with a navy trench, white jumper and jeans. The contrast of something heavier and more wintery, with the lightweight feel of the bag creates a beautiful balance. I’ve loved wearing my more classic ‘summer’ bags all through winter. It helps to spice up your hefty coats once you start to get bored of them, so think of this as a more year-round purchase.

[Unboxing] Spring FabFitFun – Asian Beauty Obsessed

by Lina Clémence July 7, 2025
written by Lina Clémence

Very cute box for Spring!

I was very excited to see what they had for the Spring box – the Winter box I just purchased because I wanted the bluetooth shower speaker that bad, lol. This one I decided to go ahead and just keep trying.

Cardigan

The cardigan is very soft and seems well-knit – it looks great layered over my clothes. It’s a loose fit but it still looks great! I’ve been liking it enough.

A body wash sponge

I’m not sure why this says “multiuse”? But it’s a pretty good all-in-one product, it’s just heavily scented, so if you don’t like scents you might not want this. To be honest it’s cute but it’s only useful if you care about having a two-in-one product… I like to switch up my body washes sometimes so it’s not something I’ll be buying again? Probably?

Cute longer necklace

I NEVER wear necklaces because I’m weird about it and I hate how necklaces hang when you bend over and get in the way of things. BUT I was willing to give this one a chance – I’ll admit, I’ve only worn it once since I bought it but to be fair it’s only because the lock-down situation with COVID has prevented me from happening on occasions to dress up and leave my house except for groceries. After all this becomes semi-normal and I actually have work meetings again, I’ll definitely be wearing this with my business casual outfits. It’s cute! I actually like it. (And I’m surprised by how much this costs??)

Scented hand cream

I actually like this one – it’s moisturizing but not too thick, absorbs quickly and it’s a very subtle scent – I was expecting some heavy scent here because it’s advertised as some relaxing lotion. I was pleasantly surprised!

Tinted chapstick

I absolutely LOVED this thing!! I’ve seen Winky Lux products in stores before (before the lock-down, anyway) and I was always hesitant to buy them because the packaging reminded me of the stuff I would buy when I was a pre-teen and I just wasn’t sure how good it would be. I guess I should’ve looked up reviews, because this stuff is SO hydrating for my lips – it’s actually better than my favorite DHC chapstick from Japan. What!! Except it does have a tint to it so I don’t put it on before bed. For those who like a very hydrating/moisturizing lip product that gives a hint of color that makes your lips look naturally pretty – this is it! I would 100% buy this again.

Kitchen towels

These tea towels – I’ll be honest here. I would never have bought these. Not in a million years. But the minute I pulled these out of the box, while I showed signs of disappointment, my husband grabbed these and said how much he loved them. I was taken by surprise, but he says these are great and he rinses and dries them after each use with our espresso machine – so hey, there’s a use for them after all! I never would have known what to do with them. There you go!

Packing set

These I have not even touched – again, lock-down over here – so I will have to give my opinion on these later with an update. They’re cute I guess, and you can see the contents it seems because part of it is see-through. Three different sizes… made in China… not much else to say here!

Setting Spray

So this is the stuff of legends, here. I heard about this back when I was right in the thick of my makeup-reviewing groove sometime last year or the year before (I lost track) – and this stuff was raved about by one of my favorite YouTubers and I was pretty excited to pull THIS out of the box! Awesome stuff, as advertised, it did make my makeup last longer but to be honest it could have a finer spray. It’s not as bad as the ELF sprayer but I’ve had finer misters as well.

Gift card with purchase requirement

This is useless. Comes with each box, I recycle it each time. It’s only useful if you actually want to buy the subscription in the first place because if you read the fine print they only give you a discount on each month for the first several months or whatever – none of them are actually free anyway. Meh!

Byte promotion

Also some random Byte lippie promotional stuff, I also recycled it. Meh!

Spring magazine

This is the guide to all the products in the box – it’s okay, it’s nice to flip through but to be honest they should just have an app and upload the info to it to save paper. You only really look at it once, right?

It’s a nice subscription but they could definitely improve it. I’ll keep it for now and see what happens next time! It’s still not a bad deal considering what was in it for Winter and Spring. Let’s see if I still like the Summer package!

EMSCULPT NEO Put the Spark in my Spring

by Lina Clémence July 6, 2025
written by Lina Clémence

When it comes to the perfect “beach body”, I am definitely Team “This Beach Is Going To Get Whatever Body I Bring It”. Meaning: EVERY body is a beach body and every body deserves to live its best beach life. So by simply showing up to the beach as I am — I am beach ready. But I will admit, there are little things that I do help feel my best.

Every Summer, I buy a cute new bathing suit. This year I am very into strategically-placed cutouts and high-legged bottoms! Matching sunglasses are a must…I’m been feeling very retro lately. I always start a sunless self-tanner about a week before the beach….the extra bronzey glow gives my legs an even tone and helps to conceal cellulite.

This year I did a new thing — I tried EMSCULPT NEO, a non-invasive, in office procedure that helps with body-sculpting, muscle-building, and skin-tightening.

The fat reducing treatment is quick (30 minute sessions) and pain free — but you do feel muscle contractions coupled with a heating sensation. In addition to the abdomen (which was my focus area), EMSCULPT NEO can be applied to the buttocks, arms & calves.  After the treatment, the dead fat cells are flushed out from the body through metabolic processes. The fat loss is permanent and the n0-downtime procedure feels like a million crunch exercises packed into 30 minutes.

Over a span of about a month, I visited Dr Jennifer Levine (@drjenniferlevine), Double-Board Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon, at her Manhattan practice for weekly  EMSCULPT NEO treatments. My main goal was to boost my current workouts and, frankly, to try out the new technology. Sometimes we find ourselves closed off to new information and procedures available to us. Why is that? If the tech exists, and it potentially solves a pressing concern, I’m all for exploring. And if it’s non-invasive, sign me up twice!

After my third  EMSCULPT NEO treatment, my results really popped. My ab definition was obvious! I also noticed significant improvements in the tone and tightening of my belly skin. Prior to  EMSCULPT NEO, my belly skin was a bit crepey with visible cellulite. Post treatment, my belly is super smooth and there’s no sign of cellulite.

See my remarkable results HERE.

My Spring Make Up Bag

by Lina Clémence July 6, 2025
written by Lina Clémence

*post includes affiliate links

As the seasons change, much like my wardrobe, my breakfast routine (normally a gentle porridge to granola switcheroo) and my desire for wanting to go for a walk around the park during lunchtime opposed to tucking into an ITV quiz show; my make up bag also likes to have a happy quarterly refresh.

Admittedly, I am a woman who likes what she likes; a creature of habit when it comes to what I put on my face. My own personal shop front! But knowing the way the industry moves, adapts and the marvellous things it comes out with month after month; it’s nice to get a little creative every now and again (even if that means switching up a blush shade or diving in the deep end with a plumping lip gloss rather than hydrating balm- I know, who IS SHE)! But I thought I’d share a handful of my favourites that are coming out every morning around 8am; showing up and giving me a lift, some life and a whole lot of glow too.

(I’m trying to not do that thing that recipe books do when they give you a whole biography about a holiday to Italy with their grandmother when they were ten before they get to telling you about the carbonara you MUST MAKE, and instead just tell you about why these products are brilliant so I will try my very best!)

SKIN

NARS Light Reflecting Foundation: I’ll be honest here; every NARS foundation I’ve tried becomes a staple. Although I’ve been a Natural Radiant Longwear girlie for most of my life; the Light Reflecting foundation is also an incredibly hard worker at giving glow, great coverage and lasting all day.

By Terry Hyaluronic Serum Concealer: The one concealer I am happy to spend over thirty British pounds on because it is that good. Often I am reluctant to spend that on a takeaway, so I’m sure that must be saying something. It works in a way that a foundation does; a little goes a very long way and often if I’m using this my ol’ friend NARS is taking a day off. It’s the perfect cover-up and because of the hydrating qualities steers it away from being drying too.

Vieve Skin Nova Complexion Balm: The Vieve Skin Nova Complexion Balm is a new addition to my make up routine, and when all is well on my face this is the absolute perfect base. It’s thicker than I expected but in a very good way; it feels substantial upon application (I use a sponge) but blends to feel light and glowy in the way that Vieve products have the magic touch to do (honestly, if I can get that Jamie Genevieve glow than SIGN ME UP).

BLUSH

Pixi On-the-Glow Blush: This stick blush might be the longest serving item in my make up bag, but also the easiest to use, most failsafe and effective too. You cannot go wrong using this- it’s swipe and go and *always* adds the right amount of sheen and colour, always. It makes me feel like Lisa Eldridge when I use it because I can apply it with all my rings on very quickly and the pay off is always perfect; she’s a MUA guys!

Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush: A little more for the delicate handed, a little goes a very long way with this- but when it goes OH she shines. This collection of contour, highlight and blush are serious bang for your buck and I do worry with the minimal amount you need I could have this well into the 22nd century. But! If it gives my a Hollywood healthy ‘rogue’ (as my dad would say) then it gets a big tick from me.

EYES & LIPS

Hourglass Phantom Volumizing Glossy Balm: The perfect antidote for colour and moisture; the ‘Phantom Volumizing Glossy Balms’ have an almost theatrically dramatic name (for the faint hearted, do not be put off by the use of Phantom here); but are the perfect throw-in-your-bag lippie for gentle colour, intense hydration and a very glossy pout (does anyone say ‘pout’ anymore in beauty writing? Did we leave it in the nineties??)

Pixi Lip Lift Max: I very much have my suspicions with plumping lip products; and trust me, I a not expecting a miracle when I use one. But Pixi do do plumping, great glossy lip products very well for a dewy, natural finish.

Blink Brow Bar Combo: I will admit it, I am very very late to the Blink Brow Bar party and I hang my head in shame because their products are, as everyone has said, really really good. I’ve been using a combination of their Ultimate Arch Definer for filling and Clear Brow Gloss for grooming and have already repurchased. Nothing makes filling in and shaping my brows quite so easy.

Victoria Beckham Vast Lash Mascara: I’m sure I’ve spoken about this mascara before, but she’s just SO. GOOD. Lengthening, flirty fluttery lashes that don’t smudge and look remarkably natural (this is not the mascara if you’re after a chunky sixties lash); but it is the perfect every day ‘are they really your natural lashes???’ mascara.

SCENT

Ffern: If you’re after a truly special seasonal scent, there really isn’t anyone else who creates magic and moments like Ffern. Everything about the way they story tell and create their fragrances feels like a time capsule for the current season and time we are living in. It’s the way I imagine perfume was meant to be created, and has something nostalgic and magical about it. Each of their four yearly scents are released at the equinox or solstice, and are created using natural, sustainably sourced high quality ingredients sympathetic and aligned with the seasons. This spring’s scent is a floral violet scent; with green notes of jonquil daffodil and a softness from ylang ylang. it’s got an encompassing warmness to it whilst also smelling fresh and light. magic.

Jo Malone Beach Blossom: There’s something about a Jo Malone summer fragrance which wraps you up in a sandy beach towel, kisses your skin with a coconutty warmth and hands you a sparkling mojito as you watch the sun start to settle on the horizon; and Beach Blossom is here to sweep you to faraway shores (even if the longest journey you have planned this spring is a slow train home from Victoria at 18:09). This scent is exactly what I love in summer; it’s transportive, feminine and makes me feel like I could be staying somewhere with Aimee Lou Wood and Walton Goggins (admittedly, with a bit less drama) (I haven’t caught up yet).

Miller Harris Rêverie de Bergamote: Perhaps I haven’t mentioned, but in summer, or spring, or actually winter or autumn in fact- I really favour smelling like a bowl of fresh zesty citrus fruit. The kind of smell that lingers after you’ve ripped open a tangerine, all juicy and sticky. That’s what I want to be the human version of! Admittedly, this feels a little bit sexier and grown up. It’s the kind of delicious scent I’d also say smells ‘clean’ too (which somehow always sounds a bit clinical, but is meant in a delicious fresh way) and is perfect for adding a little spritz of sunshine to the every day.

Dior Menswear Spring 2026 Collection Review

by Lina Clémence June 28, 2025
written by Lina Clémence

Today, on day four of Menswear Paris Fashion Week, Jonathan Anderson presented his debut collection as creative director of Christian Dior. Appointed in June, the British designer kick-started his era as the sole creative force behind the fabled French fashion house with a bang. The front row was stacked with a plethora of A-list talent (including everyone from Rihanna and Josh O’Connor to Donatella Versace and Robert Pattinson). Inside the vast show venue that was modeled after Berlin’s Gemäldegalerie museum, models paraded the set dressed in Jonathan’s take on classic Dior house codes. The recipient of theFashionSpot’s 2023 Designer of the Year award infused the past and present, amalgamating 18th-19th-century dressing with a contemporary preppy-inspired style.

Dior Menswear Spring 2026 Collection Review

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“It’s just JWA x Uniqlo with a Dior logo.” [youthinasia]

“Snoozefest.” [FashionPower]

“I knew it would look this way. The womenswear is going to be worse.” [brandon J pierre]

“What a bore. I thought it would never end. I don’t remember anything besides the unflattering bar jackets or whatever that was supposed to be.” [Avonlea]

“I was afraid of this. It’s good, but I just don’t know if it’s right for Dior. It needs a little bit more refinement. We don’t need a more luxe version of his namesake label.” [GivenchyHomme]

“Great debut! I knew it would be more commercial than JW and Loewe, but I think he knows how to make commercial pieces that are still interesting and incredibly desirable. There was quite a bit of fashion ideas running throughout the collection.” [Marc10]

“The debut was solid, IMO. I like how approachable the collection can be. Fabulous soundtrack too.” [thiago]

How to Update Your Home for Spring

by Lina Clémence June 17, 2025
written by Lina Clémence

As the days grow longer and our spring bulbs begin to bloom, it’s the perfect time to refresh your home for spring. Updating your home for spring doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive; a few simple updates can bring in light, colour, and a fresh feeling that reflects the beauty of the season. Here are some easy ways to give your space a spring makeover!

Declutter and Deep Clean

Spring is synonymous with renewal, making it the ideal time to declutter and deep clean your home. I’d recommend decluttering bit by bit; tackling one area at a time, such as tackling your pantry cupboard on a Saturday morning, taking a break then tackling your beauty products in the afternoon. You could also pack away any winter decor, take unwanted items to a local charity shop, and give your home a thorough cleaning. Open all of your windows and doors to let in fresh air and natural light while you work!

Bring the Outdoors in

Embrace nature by incorporating fresh flowers and greenery within your home. Whether it’s a bouquet of tulips on the dining table, some freshly potted spring bulbs dotted around your living room or a potted shrub on your hallway table, bringing nature into your home instantly breathes life into a space. If you have any house plants, now could be a good time to give them a refresh too – move them into a larger pot if needed, refresh their compost so they have plenty of nutrients, and trim any dead or infected leaves.

Update Your Decor

Introduce bright and cheerful colours into your home by swapping out your homeware such as cushion covers, vases, artwork and crockery. Small decor swaps can make a big impact! Try to incorporate decorative accents in light and bright spring shades such as butter yellow, green, or pale pink.

Don’t underestimate the impact of swapping out your cushion covers; trading heavy materials in dark colours to light fabrics such as linen in a paler colour can be all your living room needs to feel fresher. This switch can be very inexpensive, plus storing a spare set of cushion covers should be easy, even if you’re tight on storage space.

Switch out Your Home Scents

If you’ve still got winter candles dotted around your home, filling the air with scents such as orange, cinnamon and clove,  try updating your candle and diffuser scents to something fresher, perhaps involving citrus scents and delicate florals. If you have an essential oil diffuser, like my fantastic diffuser from Aromatherapy Associates, switch out the essential oils you’re using, choosing more spring-like scents.

5 Ways to Help Wildlife this Spring – Literally Nataly

by Lina Clémence June 2, 2025
written by Lina Clémence

Spring is a magical time of year filled with wonder and light. The days stretch longer, wrapping us in their warm embrace, while nature comes alive with a flurry of activity. It is a time of year where many species begin preparing for a new breeding season. But the changes in climate and weather patterns mean that animals are waking up at different times than they used to, so insects might emerge before the plants they need to feed on, or birds before the insects that make up their food supply. Luckily there are individual and collective actions that we can take to help wildlife through this transition. Below are 5 tips to offer invaluable support to some of our most beloved species.

Plant for pollinators: You can help them by planting wildflower seed balls. These are simple to cultivate and care for, and can be dispersed in any location, including a 30cm container on a balcony or doorstep. They are capable of germinating in as little as four weeks. With 30 seeds packed into each small ball, this simple action can create a valuable stepping stone for passing pollinators.

Mow lawns less frequently: our lawns are mini wildlife reserves and the longer the grass, the more species it houses. Insects and invertebrates are an important food source for birds and common lawn plants like clover and dandelion can be a lifesaver for bees and butterflies.

Keep topping up bird feeders: many people recognise that feeding birds can help them through tough winter conditions, but it’s equally important in spring. Early in the season, the nights can still be freezing and the natural larder remains sparse. Extra food can help restore birds to good condition for breeding and provide energy to mate, nest and raise chicks, especially if the weather is cold or wet.

Explore woodland mindfully: Spring is a fantastic time to explore the great outdoors as nature bounces back to life and shows off all its new colours and textures. You can help wildlife during your visit, including ground nesting birds and precious flowers, with simple actions like sticking to paths, keeping dogs on leads and taking litter home.

Obey speed limits: Watch out for animals crossing the road and take responsibility for an animal if you hit it with your car. The risk of encountering an animal on the road is greatest during dawn and dusk, as animals often travel in search of food at these hours. Learn more about wildlife behaviours in your surrounding so that you can try and avoid these types of accidents. For example, deer rarely travel alone, if you see one deer, there are likely to be several more on their way.

Wishing you all a happy Spring – you have made it through the darkest part of the year! And even though it is still cold in some places around the world, things will soon change. Enjoy the coming of the sun and please make sure to take actions to respect and support the wildlife around you.
