Carrera: Limited edition Gumball

Carrera is infamous for its aviator style, and oversized frames. Hailing from Austria, these stylish sunglasses include signature designs that are. “ultra-lightweight and scratch-resistant.” In fact, Carrera was known for being about 20 percent lighter than any other sunglasses when they first produced them, and they’re still quite lightweight.

They come in a range of styles and colors, from the traditional to the eccentric, and cost around $300.

Christian Dior: Sunglasses and visors with style

Well-known for its luxury clothing, purses, and perfumes, Christian Dior also has a line of sunglasses and sun visors that are as well made as the rest of their goods. A brand founded in 1947 that brought the “hourglass shape” back into style after World War II, Dior sunglasses were initially made by Carrera. The company introduced an aviator design that blew the world away, as the “bridge-less Dior So Real” sunglasses were more of a hit than the company expected.

Whether you choose traditional or modern designs, Christian Dior sunglasses will set you back about $500.

Dolce & Gabbana: Limited edition sunglasses

Another brand known for its clothing, Dolce & Gabbana, designed by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, is eccentric, to say the least. But, it hits the nerves of many a fashionista who adore “menswear” lines.

Designed with a southern flair, the Dolce & Gabbana team, inspired by Sophia Loren among others, the company is able to keep to its southern roots while at the same time addressing what wealthier clients want in exclusive style.

Gucci: Exclusive Italian styles

Gucci makes everything from art to clothing and is especially well known for its leathers, and all are emblazoned with its distinctive “G” logo. Gucci recently underwent a brand redesign, a project Alessandro Michele spearheaded, and it’s led to even more success for the company.

Gucci sunglasses are available in traditional styles, but more modern looks are also available, as are sunglasses with gold and crystals for those who want to do something different. Keep in mind though that the more exclusive styles can run upwards of $2,000 and more.

Persol: Modern and vintage sunglasses

While many sunglasses brands have their products made in China or elsewhere like RayBan does – another company owned by Persol’s parent company — Persol still makes theirs in Italy and has since 1917. The brand is known for its quality and extremely long-lasting frames.

Some older styles are even lusted over by collectors to this day. If opting for Persols, be prepared to pay upwards of $1,000 for a pair.
