Friday Treat : Positive Age TNMA x Dandy Star Sweatshirts and T’s

by Lina Clémence July 24, 2025
written by Lina Clémence

[unpaid] One of my most favourite sweatshirts is one that I have from the previous That’s Not My Age x Dandy Star collection. In fact, I have two – a dark green one with VINTAGE on the front and a grey one with & WISER on it. Actually, I’ve just remembered that I have a pink one too. I said they were favourites! Alyson from That’s Not My Age has teamed up again with Dandy Star offering some new colours.

Here’s Alyson modelling the t-shirts with different slogans. That grey vintage one has to be mine. Apparently the feedback on the previous collection was that customers wanted more colours – well, they have it now!

This t-shirt is such an easy win for jeans or denim shorts.

Here’s me (with dark hair!) in my green VINTAGE version – this sweatshirt hits at just the right place on the hip and I’ve worn it so much. It also hits at the right point on the neck in that it doesn’t grab you by the throat but allows some leeway for a shirt or for nothing. I find that neckline much more flattering than a strangler.

And, here are the new sweatshirt colours. The pink version I have is less of a baby pink and more of a dirty pink but I’m very much enjoying these new, brighter tones – and Alyson is so much more adventurous than me with bottom half choices so hopefully, there are some new ideas there too. I just put everything with jeans! The sweatshirt quality is 100% – and gets better and softer the more you wash and wear. The sweatshirts are £70 in sizes XS to 2XL and the T-shirts are £45 in the same size options. Use JANE10 for 10% off (although that’s already available if you sign up for their mailers). You can find them HERE.

Friday Treat : The Dress Five Ways

by Lina Clémence June 15, 2025
written by Lina Clémence

You know those heavy and heady sunny days where every single item of clothing feels too much on your skin? This dress – in five options – from H&M is the least amount of clothes you can decently wear (add bra and knickers as your own preference) and be seen in public. It’s this same dress that can take you to Tesco to stock up on ice as well as it can take you to the shore to dip your toes in the sea.

In a blend of 81% viscose and 19% polyamide, it’s going to catch any welcome wisp of a breeze and look gently floaty. The frills are dropped so the effect will be sleek and streamlined rather than puffy.

Personally, the blue option is my favourite – I think I might, if it’s not one of those stifling city days, wear a racer back white t-shirt underneath. Otherwise, I’ll just be flopping about in the garden with Dora seeking shade and drinking the coldest drink I can find.

For £27.99, in sizes XS to 4XL I feel like it’s an absolute snip – don’t forget if it’s too long you can fray the hem which would look great with flip flops and a bright orange/red polish on your toes. A wide brimmed hat, a pair of sunglasses and a glass of rose are the only accessories to consider. It’s HERE. I am wearing a size M (no bra and my yoga tracky bottoms underneath – reason 8,550 why I’m not a fashion influencer) – I’m 5ft 3 so you can see the length is fine and it’s adjustable at the straps – I think this dress can finish anywhere and still look ok. My bust size is a D and if I’d had more time I would have tried on the L as well for a bit more of a streamlined fall.

Friday Treat : Orange Popsicle Bomber Jacket

by Lina Clémence May 30, 2025
written by Lina Clémence

[unpaid/affiliate] I was very tempted yesterday to buy this when I saw it in Oliver Bonas but annoyingly they didn’t have my size. In real life it’s a sparkling (not glittery) fine knit jacket that is perfect for cooler summer evenings when you still need to bring the vibe but don’t want to suffer for it :-). The pictures don’t do the jacket any justice at all because its an effervescent and glinting kind of orange that isn’t Tango or Easyjet but is maybe a slightly burnt orange. I wish I’d taken a picture in store now. I’d wear this with a white dress, any denim at all and also any shorts at all. That said, if you need your top covered, you probably won’t have your legs out. It’s £60 HERE in sizes 6 to 18.

The other thing I spotted is this sheer linen knit from Jigsaw. You don’t often find ‘cardigans’ at this length – it’s got wide 3/4 sleeves (and because they’re 3/4 you don’t have to worry about draping through the soup) and stops literally on the waist. It’s such a handy and flattering stopping point because it’s ideal with dresses as a not-jacket-but-something wear and the fact that it’s sheer is even better.

The model pictures use an impossibly long-legged model (or she’s been digitally stretched) that I don’t think give you quite enough of an idea of flexibility. I had a similar length, drawstring, sheer cardi from GAP and I wore it for years and wore it to death – every time I didn’t want the tops of my arms out on show, on it went, over racerback tops, strappy dresses and strappy tops and because it’s so lightweight, it’s not going to add heat of any significance. The price is a whopping £11o but when I think of all the times I wore my GAP one, it wouldn’t be wrong to think of this as money well spent. It comes in brown as well and in sizes XS to XL HERE.
